35 A threat came peacefully.

Mr. Razach opened the glass case and took out the scythe, he distanced himself from us a little bit and waved the weapon in a few simple maneuvers.

*whoosh*

The air seemed to be cut apart as he swung the scythe provoking a deadly whistling. The wind raised even slightly blew my semi-long black hairs back. I could see Chloe's eyes shining with anticipation, she apparently couldn't wait to have the scythe in her hands, judging by the clenching of her hands

He finally passed the scythe to her after a moment. As soon as he received it she blurred and disappeared from our sight. I looked around for a bit and noticed that she wasn't in the room.

"She's outside," I said after focusing on her mark on me for half a second. I realized not too long that I could determine her location by using her mark as a pathway for my will. It allowed me to use just a bit of will and I could get her exact position.

Mr. Razach and I went outside and found her, she was a blur of movement shifting and moving as if caught in a deadly dance. The scythe was like a red dragon moving in the sky.

Mr. Razach and I sat on nearby rocks while we watched her.

"So you managed to get with the princess of the blood clan huh?" started Mr. Razach. I turned to look at him.

"It seemed you are good for her, as it's the first time I saw her show such demeanor in public. She is usually cold and distant." there was a melancholy in his gaze as if he was remembering a time long passed.

As I heard him speak, I was once again reminded of Chloe's identity. Even when I met her she was as he was describing. She was, after all, at least according to old geezers in the vampire council the equivalent of a messiah who would lead the vampire race into a new age.

As I was musing, I felt a hint of bloodlust in the surroundings. I saw Mr. Razach standing up with a thunderous look on his face. I knew instantly, we had guests. Chloe had come to a stop and she closed her eyes and seemed to be listening to something.

"I am truly sorry, Mr. Razach, it seems we brought troubles to your place," she said looking apologetic.

He looked at her with steely eyes, then let out a sigh.

"It can't be helped. It seemed that since it's been a while since I appeared in the world people think it's ok to mess with me." He smiled savagely.

He reached behind him and a big ass hammer appeared in his hand.

Looking at me and asked, "Samsara do you need a weapon?"

"No, thank you, I fight bare-handed." He looked intrigued but seemed to save it for later.

" 5 minutes," Chloe said suddenly. We knew instantly that she was talking of the incoming enemies.

"4."

"3."

"2."

"1."

"They are here."

As soon as she said it, they surged from the surrounding forest. A gigantic wolf at least 2 meters tall came at me baring teeth. I transitioned from sitting to a standing position seamlessly. Before it could reach me, I flipped my palm and a violent wind send it back faster than it was coming deep into the forest. I felt a slight breeze near my neck and ducked. A cold blade parted the air just where I stood a few seconds ago.

I spun and lashed out with a kick on my assailant. There was a muted sound as he was sent flying. I raised myself and saw Chloe slaughtering anything that came near the radius of her scythe. Mr. Razach was truly a machine of war. Despite his huge frame, he moved with untold grace, each of his hammers strikes precise and deadly. The sound of bones breaking and limbs tearing could be heard.

A fireball as big as a basketball came my way scorching the air around me. I made a grabbing motion and the fireball came to a stop. The mage who cast it looked at me stunned as if he just saw the most bizarre scene ever. I clenched my fist hard. The fireball compressed then exploded like fireworks. The mage grunted heavily and spit blood. Before he could regain his bearing, I sped toward him my legs moving extremely fast. In a flash, I came near and punched him, there was a snapping sound as his cranium broke. He fell heavily on the ground and didn't move again.

I looked around observing the ongoing battle when I saw a man dressed in pure white. He was holding a katana in his right hand. He was walking carefreely, his face peaceful. I knew instantly from his delicate facial features that this man came from the Aso continent. He took a slight breath. In the chaos of the battle, I shouldn't have been able to hear him but I could, clearly so. it was as if he was just behind me. Then he was.

I didn't feel, see, or even sense his movements. He was like a ghost. His katana punctured my right lungs making me spit blood from my mouth and nose. I got a bit dizzy and his foot pushed me off his blade sending me crashing into a tree.

*crack* The tree snapped and I fell heavily on the ground with it. I stood up with difficulty and looked at the still peaceful man. My wounds were knitting close painfully slowly. It was as if there was a power that went against my very strong healing factor. I grunted at the pain, 'What the fuck was that? what sort of sup is he? One thing is sure, he is insanely strong, he is the strongest I ever faced.'

I pulled on my left arm with a crack it snapped back in place.

"You are good, I was aiming for your heart but you shifted a few centimeters despite not sensing my steps," he said plainly

"Who are you?" I asked coldly.

"That's for me to know and for you to wonder," he said smiling as if he was professing a deep truth. My right eye twitched.

"Is that so?" He nodded gently and took a light breath once more. My eyes narrowed and I raised my hands. As I guessed he was beside me in a blink slashing with the katana. This time the weapon hit something invisible before it could land on me. There were metallic sounds and sparks.

" A barrier?" he mused out loud.

" Don't think I'll fall for the same move twice," I answered.

"ho..." he said amused. He vanished and appeared twenty meters away.

"We'll see about that."
