Death Waits

The world was at peace though crimes still existed, but it were no problem for the well known detective Liam Oslac.

Though he is well-known in the biz, many other people seemed to envy his talents as a young detective. As Liam goes along with his day, he bumps into a file and as he picks it up he discovered a case unsolved.

As he continues inspecting the file he finds out it's been left unsolved for 10 years. As he see's this with shock on his face he thought to himself,

"Wait, isn't this the same time I started as a detective?"

As he comes to terms with that he soon comes to find out a great historical disaster may repeat itself,he then starts wondering whether to talk to the boss about it, but then decides to leave it be for now. Liam thinks to himself that maybe he may be able to solve this case, reminded of his first ever case. His first ever case was known as the Pink Jewel Hist.

The pink jewel belonging to the presidents daughter, though it was not easy due to the fact ot seemed the culprit was two steps ahead of him. The jewel had been gone for a few months, the only reason being that most detectives gave up and focused on other cases. Even it were tough he worked day and night and by the 10 of April was the start of his successful career for findings the jewel, catching the culprit and obtained a medal.

A few hours later, he decides to go to a near by bar to let of some stress. As he feels conflicted about the case and that being said thee amount of shock of a historical disaster repeating itself is just to much to handle. While it starts to rain he then decides to call his assistant, Gwyneth Bridgets was an American woman known for her kindness, yet also being very strict in her work as an assistant.

As Gwyneth enters the bar Liam fought himself, thinking of telling her would be a problem or not, but decodes to tell her anyway since she's here. As they started to order Gwyneth notices the worry on Liams face and a case file she has never seen before. After ordering Gwyneth asked,

"Are you okay?" ,having worry on her face

As that was asked Liam felt fear after a long time , looking at Gwyneth the storm getting stronger , the lightning booms louder while the rain starts pouring louder and louder. Liam pushes the case file forward as Gwyneth looks at opened with horror,

*CLAP* went the thunder as the same face on Liams face appeared on Gwyneth.

Looking back at Liam she starts to have a confused look on her face with a word smile and her eyes twitching horrified by what she read. Liam looks away as he clinched his hands into fists, feeling guilty for including her into the matter.

Gwyneth asked,"Your kidding me right?"

She continues by saying,"Do you know what will happen if the public finds out about this, let alone the government!!' She said shouting in frustration, she kept on shouting about how everyone will be affected by this news as even a rebellion may come and the government losing it's control over the situation.

*BAM!!* go Liams fists as he slams them on the table having it up to here with what Gwyneth is saying.

"Don't you think that I already know all this!" He said shouting back at her, with their orders arrived they calm down . After eating both decided to talk about it another day and though Gwyneth was worried she knew there was nothing she could do about it. Still thinking about the case she wonders where could Liam had found it and that she had never seen such a case in the records before.

Few days later Liam and Gwyneth decide to meet in the near by Cafe, as they start to talk about the case they both came to ask themselves why would such a big case be kept in the dark.

"I'm not sure if I could take this case on."Liam said with his head lowered down for the first time doubting his skills.

Gwyneth looking shocked as to see a well-known detective in the entire world say he may not be able to take on a case, Gwyneth says with a soft and worried tone "Don't you worry it is impossible for you to struggle and if you do you have me by your side." Liam shouts back speaking in a weird speech saying " No!, have you no shame not knowing how hard it was getting were I am, the constant shouting, studying and sleepless nights."

He continues by saying,

"Many people envied my talent not knowing how hard it was getting here, being called a failure countless times not only by people but family too."

Though he seemed famous and happy he was actually in a lot of pain,even if he were rich his family treated him like an outcast and his father being the worst to be around with.

Gwyneth realized that this case would be like putting the world in your hands and knowing now that though he is well-known he is still human. Now understanding how he feels, she reminds him that though it may be tough he still has her and that they both can take on the case together.

With new found hope he decides to take the case head on and with a bit of hope even solve the case. After that he mentioned that he stayed up all night reviewing the case and that he found out the chief officer was involved in the case 10 years ago, drawing them closer to solving the case.
