59 Raise the dead

Before his very eyes, he watched as the environment around him slowly began to reshape. From the glittering stone pathway and dense mist clouded sideways where he had been walking through to something entirely different. It was like the environment was turning into itself and birthing something new, something diabolical.

With the wave of energy being released, he fell to his knees under the suffocating influence. It was as though the gravity if any existed in the dream world had been doubled. He knew very well that rules of the reality had failed on countless occasions to apply to this world. Yet, every single time, he was always stunned by the curve ball thrown at him. Indeed, this time, it wasn't any different.

After what he would count as ten minutes if the same laws of time worked in the dream world as it did in reality, he stopped feeling the immense pressure. His eyes being closed through it all, he opened it and was greeted with multiple shocking events.

*By the beards of old man Zephyr!!!" Finn stated. Not many could withstand what his eyes saw at that moment.

Similarly, he had seen it all but still left in disbelief as before him, was a completely new environment but not just that, he mumbled under his breath...

Swarms of Death bugs filled the area. Flying in different directions with round abdomens that were transparent. Transparent enough that he could see the contents they all had in them. And a\without a shadow of doubt, he wasn't making a mistake to notice that they all had a head in their stomach. Not just any head, his head.

But it made no sense that they all had his head in their bellies. In any case, he still had his head on his neck which was a clear sign that it had to be something else.

"Tiwa, what region are we in now?" Finn asked out of dire curiosity.

"I know what you are thinking master and no, we are not in the nightmare zone. The things you see now might look like those you have seen before in that zone but this is a completely different zone. And remember, you do not get second chances here. Unlike the nightmare zone that needs you and feeds on your fear, in here, your destruction is all that is sought after" Tiwa, Finn's dream bug warned sternly. At the moment, she wasn't in a physical form but rather was in Finn's Subconscious.

Taken aback by the buzzing sounds of the insects initially, Finn failed to acknowledge one vital change and that was that where he stood had changed too. This wasn't until he looked up ahead and saw a body pop out from beneath the ground. Yet it didn't require any elaborate investigation to tell the body didn't pop out of the ground but a liquid matter.

"The ground I once stood on has now become a body of water.The insects I once defeated are now back. And what's worse, they have fed upon the demons baring my face from the nightmare zone. How is every corner of my dream a subtle representation of a nightmare?" Finn analyzed.

Soon, more bodies began to pop out of the water. The water going up to about half his body length was already a worrying factor for him.

In seconds, headless bodies covered the entire area. Now with this occurrence, the insects soon began to actively dive into the water. They all rushed after the bodies that popped out of the water, seeking after one that had a head on it. And in no time, one had spotted a certain body with a head still attached to it.

Yet again, the notification came up. Now the dark veins due to the Secra serpent's tail spike poison had gone up to his left eye. He could feel his senses dulled down to a certain degree.But with the insects having found him out, he knew it was a do or die affair. It was either he fought or he would end up as a headless body. This time, it was not so much of a dream he could awaken from.

"Tiwa, it's time you become of use. Is there a way you can help? " Finn asked .
