61 Crisis

Already the headless demon Finns were keeping the vermins in check. This led way for Finn himself to sought out the source.

But in the mean time, while he went in search of it, the poison from secra serpent had affected him even more than before. This was obvious as even the effects were manifested on his body. His face became pale and dark, while his veins were black and out on display.

But while burdened with pain, Finn was left in surprise as the source in which he sought after had found him instead.

In front of him was a huge serpent standing with four appendages. This serpent had the head of the flying insects and the body of the secra serpents with its tail being the longest and most armed with spikes.

Finn on seeing this groaned in pain. His vision was slightly becoming blurry as were other things taking effect.

With no gap given, the omni secra serpent dived head first back into the swamp and it's long body splashed water about.

In a moment, Finn realized just how quickly it had hidden in the water and not just that, it was too quiet for a beast it size.

"It's planning an ambu-" Finn was going to say before he felt a heavy blow on his back and in the next second, he found himself flying through the air and landing multiple times hard on the ground.

The force was so great that he had been flung out of the water and was now I'm land. His body trembled in pain and he didn't need to be told how bad it was when the system revealed something to him.

"The gods are at it again!!" Finn groaned as he got up to see that he was bleeding from his arm and face.

He looked around to find himself in the middle of thick trees. There was very little source of light and surprisingly, it came from these trees.

On their barks were crystals embedded in them that gave off light on intervals.

*Shriek!!!*

Finn heard a loud sound coming his way. As the sound got nearer, he could see the trail of destruction it left.

"I have used up most of my dream points to raise those headless demons. I don't have enough to fight this thing and still get back to the dream box" Finn analysed the situation he was in.

The secra serpent wasn't done with him and was coming to finish him. The appendages were like a crab's but were far stronger. Because of each one's long reach, it covered a great distance in no time.

The serpent could very well move on land but somehow it chose to move through the trees and as a result of its sheer weight, some of the trees were broken. As it hit more trees on its way, it appeared to be getting angrier and as this happened, on top of its head was a glowing object that shone every time it roared.

Running was not an option anymore for Finn. He sensed the immense energy coming off of the serpent. The energy was so much that it felt like it spread out through the area.

Finn steadied himself as the serpent got close and began to fire out dream energy balls after another.

But the serpent managed to dodge most of them. Even the few that hit him only managed to do so much as to slow him down.

He realized then that the poison also affected the power of his attacks. The dream balls reflective energy barely did much to the secra serpent.

The serpent approached once again with its mouth wide open which bore endless rows of teeth that looked to head all the way towards its gut.

It's aim was to close down on Finn as it came sweeping by but Finn was ready and jumped out of the way at the very last second.

"I can't beat this thing. Not like this!" Finn groaned in more pain as he stared at the large serpent do a full turn in circles and was heading back for him.

Dodging it for soon would only prolong the fight and give the serpent the advantage to weigh in on his exhaustion. Further more, at the rate the poison was spreading, he knew he had a very limited duration before his entire body was affected.

The poison on its own made his body weak and sluggish. His senses were uncoordinated as well and the worst part was that he only had ten dream points left.

He struggled to remain on his feet but that alone proved to be a feat too huge to achieve on its own.

-I have died by the hands of a vampire, werewolf and even humans. I have been impaled by claws,blades and even. Knives. I have drowned and fed upon by unforgiving water creatures. I have seen it all but never have I once thought I'd meet my end in my dream. A sad tale it is- Finn thought.

The omni secra serpent returned again with viciousness and with a tail whip, it hit Finn yet again causing him to fly off to a hit a near by tree.

[Host's body can't take anymore hits. Since host cannot defend himself, would host like to activate primal survival instincts]

"What?... Yes..." Finn muttered not seeing quite clearly again. His body slumped to the floor as he gasped for air. He felt his insides burning and pain resided at every corner of his body.

But then a message appeared in his field of vision one more time that left him wondering what he was seeing.

[Verwolf Crisis activated]

[All stats tripled]

[Pain immunity activated]

[Duration: 1 minute]

Suddenly he felt rejuvenated as he popped back up to his feet. His eyes glowing red and golden at the same time. His fangs elongated and claws longer than ever. But there was more. He was transforming.
