Ep.1 New Era

Neo City, 12 January 5052.

*Ten's POV*

It's 2:25 A.M and in this planet we go to work at 3:00 A.M. I woke up and made my bed, then I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth, my cat cosmos followed me to the bathroom. Not sure why but He likes to follow me around the house.

After brushing my teeth, I take a shower and made myself a buckleberry pancakes (buckleberry looks like a blackberrry but more bigger and tastes like plum).

After I fed my cat I'm off to work. "Be a good cat while I'm gone okay Cosmos?"

My cat just meowed. I take as a yes. I checked my watch, turns out it's already 2:55. I'm definitely late. So i rode my jetpack to work. Yes, in the future we use jetpack and flying cars.

What makes it even worse is that the traffic jam was so long.

And I arrived at 3:50 A.M.

When I arrived, my friend Damien came to me and said, "Hey, we're having a meeting c'mon goofhead"

I just nodded and followed him. And Damien was right, they're all having a meeting.

Me and Damien sat quietly. Thankfully noticed that I was late.

"Okay everyone since we're all gathered here, I have an anouncement to make, us and every company will be shut down by tomorrow, that means that you all are fired"

Everyone was shock. Especially me, I mean how am I going to pay rent or eat, etc if I don't have any money. And so does everyone, what kind of weird thing is happening.

"You may ask? why is this happening? Well it's because I'm launching a new game called Laser Tag. It's a virtual reality game where we play Tag, in there you don't have to worry of what you're going to eat, sleep, etc because they will taken care of by the staff that works with me. Also, this is the government and the President's order, if we disobey we will be murdered."

WHAT THE HECK-

what is wrong society today. Especially this society.

I can see that Damien started to be scared.

"Ok now, we're done for the day, dont forget to arrive at the office at 8:30 okay?"

Then the boss left.

"What is going on?" Asks Damien.

"I don't know but i'm tired, i'm gonna go home now" I said while walking towards the stairs.

"Ok, well see you tomorrow" said Damien.

"See you" I ended the conversation and went home.

While I was cooking some pasta I saw on the news about the so called "laser tag" game and how everyone is actually excited to play. Well, except for me and Damien.

"The Laser Tag game ticket has sold out for today because there's so many people that want to play the game but don't worry everyone will have a turn" said the reporter in a kind of eerie voice.

Then I turned off the tv and slept.

The next day,

I woke up, eat and head out to the office. When I arrived, there's so many people waliing towards the town hall. The place where the Laser Tag game was at.

Damien pulled me over and said, "Boss told everyone to go to the town hall and line up for the tickets"

"Oh ok" I just followed Damien only because i'm scared.

We lined up.

There were so many people. It's like the whole population was here.

"Attention people of Neo City, I am Metha the robot and welcome to the Laser Tag, please wait in line until it's your turn!" said the robot.

Everybody was screaming very loudly except for me and Damien. I think only the two of guys who's scared of this game. I don't even know what this game is about.

We both waited for two hours, and then it's our turn.

"Welcome, here is your ticket" said the ticket robot.

"Thanks" said both me and Damien and we walked in to the building.

The building was so huge and sparkly. We really don't know what we're getting ourselves into.
