72 Chapter 71

"Let's do it!"

With bandages all over him, Tom tried to drag his injured body to the battlefield as he shouted with a voice full of spirit. Seeing him like that, Zuyuan approached Tom and offered a piece of advice.

"It will be better for you to lay down your wearied body for the moment. You are not a machine."

His eyes lit up, Tom grinned excitedly as he said, "So what you mean is that if my body was that of a cyborg, I would be more durable and tough?"

Smiling wryly, Zuyuan shook his head helplessly and replied, "You are already as tough as a fiend though. How tough do you want it to be?"

Hammering his chest gently, Tom answered, "The toughest!"

"Huh, then good luck." Commented Zuyuan with a chuckle.

Listening to the familiar drumming noises before the war, all missionaries and goblins started to prepare themselves. Organizing the positions of the soldiers was a dozen groups of hobgoblin warriors. Along with the shamans casting some spells to their strongest warriors to reinforce them in the upcoming battle.

"Ready for another bloodbath, uncle?" Quipped Ling Zhue on his back, while his team followed behind him.

"Are you?" Asked Zuyuan back with a smile. However, he was holding a sword provided by the local armory instead of his Estgard. While the blade was not as smooth as Estgard when he utilized his Qigong, he had no choice but to use it.

"Where did your sword go, uncle? Are you gonna use that piece of junk?" Questioned Ling Zhue, noticing the common rarity blade in Zuyuan's hand.

"Oh, it's still here, but you'll have to wait and see it." Answered Zuyuan calmly.

Frowning his eyebrows slightly, Ling Hue acknowledged Zuyuan's statement without much thought. Yet, his eyes squinted slightly in suspicion, "Oh, is that so? "

"There they are." Interjected Marvelick as his gaze fixed on the walking crowd of orcs and missionaries. Proceeding to the grass field where they had taken their position last time.

After twenty minutes, the two armies stood between each other, with their bloodthirsty aura emitting on both sides. Most missionaries took a look at their main mission completion rate instead of being caught by the intensity of the war. While, other missionaries revealed excited and joyful faces, as if enjoying this so-called war to the fullest.

Drawing his greatsword, Tom put on his knight helmet as he smirked in confidence, "Hehe, come to me, my stepping stones."

"Are you sure you are in a condition for a fight, mister Tom?" Asked XB11 who was stunned by the endurance of the human before it. Just last night, this man was on a dying bed. Now, he was jumping around, healthier than those who had minor injuries.

"Just worry about yourself, steel boy." Laughed Tom while he pointed the tip of his sword to the front, "No matter if it was thousands or tens of thousands, this daddy's skin here is too thick for them!"

"Perhaps." Commented Zuyuan with a smile.

Then, the sound of a bugle blowing could be heard as a sign for a charge. Unlike last time which had each chief's of respective races to hold a ceremony, after experiencing the rudeness of the missionaries which disregarded any of their cultures, both races decided that it would be better to focus wholly on the war without any more unnecessary scenarios.

"Here I go!" Dashed to the front line by himself right when the bugle noise was sounded, Tom wrapped himself with his crimson energy that boosted his physique by three times, making him way stronger than before.

"Ora Ora Ora!"

Charging headlong towards a bunch of spells that were thrown at him, Tom shouted with his eyes filled with passion, and his hands moved to parry any physical projectiles based attacks.

Following Tom's lead, the rest of the missionaries rushed to the front with their weapons and armor ready, as the magicians type missionaries would buff from behind and shoot barrages of spells on the back line of the missionaries group.

"Unbelievable." Mumbled Zuyuan while he was running side to side with the rest of the melee type missionaries.

Ordering XB11 to deal with any aerial assaults or enemies, Zuyuan glanced downwards to the sword and said to himself, "Let's try it."

Guiding his Qigong to the blade, Zuyuan utilized his ultimate speed technique and beheaded the five weakest looking missionaries on the front. While he was about to go towards the sixth, the man had surprised him by blocking his blow with a dagger and countering with a stab towards his neck.

Zuyuan weaved his body to the side, letting the blade pass by him smoothly, with a few quick footworks he found himself a few meters away from the dagger wielder.

"Oh my, ain't you quick on your feet?" The dagger user spoke condescendingly, "To kill my five little buddies just like that. Shame on you!"

"Your buddies were too weak, Mr. Dagger." Mocked Zuyuan with the same tone of voice as his opponent.

"What's wrong with using a dagger!!" Stated the man while his face became colder.

"Well, let's start with the short range and waste of a free hand perhaps?" Zuyuan retorted, raising his hand as he explained. "There are better weapons than that useless thing."

"Ho, ho! Those are insults I can't simply ignore! Now watch as I butcher you and skin you alive with this so called useles-"

Before the man could finish his words, a flash of light appeared while his head found itself unattached to its body.

Zuyuan stood to the back of the man, as the dagger user's headless corpse fell to the side.

"You talk too much."
