6 Chapter Six: A Clash under the Silver Moon
The luminous light from the silver moon serves as the only source of light for the young demon hunter who is currently facing the shadowbringer who once was told to be his parents' assailant!
Helcurt charged towards Granger's position. He dashed as quick as a shadow.
The demon hunter didn't expected the surprise attack and failed to dodged it.
Granger dashed away aiming his pistol against his opponent.
He fired six consecutive shots yet the agile demon managed to dodge.
Their one on one battle continued for a few minutes. Helcurt on the offensive and Granger on the defensive.
The demon hunter kept evading the demon's blades however, Helcurt is too quick that he still manages to graze a part of his body.
Every time Helcurt manages to make a five consecutive hits, his nails became much deadlier than ever---striking a slow yet fatal blow.
Fortunately for Granger, the demon wasn't able to make a clean hit even until now. On the contrary, the demon hunter couldn't hit a clean attack as well.
Clearly, Granger is at a disadvantage right now. Despite that, he still have some tricks under his sleeves.
The clash goes on.
Every opportunity when Helcurt is within range, Granger fires his long barreled pistol which rarely lands a hit against his foe.
At this moment, he knew he needed to change his tactics.
He has no choice but to use one of his secret skills that is yet to be seen by a demon's eye.
He calls it, "THE DEATH SONATA".
Helcurt sure is powerful. Yet the demon hunter knew that the demon doesn't have the energy to spam his attacks consecutively.
He waited for the right moment when the demon uses his shadow rush towards him---he will then formulate his plan.
The demon licked his blades...."Your ceaseless dodging is useless." he walked towards the wounded demon hunter. "I'll be the last thing you'll ever see."
As Helcurt charged towards the demon hunter, Granger immediately dashed away. He raised his violin case up and a thick muzzle suddenly came out from its tip.
Then...
Comes a large bullet out of the muzzle!
The demon who wasn't prepared for a counter attack failed to dodge the first strike. "UUGH!"
Granger didn't gave him the luxury of thoughts.
He fired another bullet towards the wounded demon who is still in shock about the sudden change of action.
For the second time, the demon failed to dodge it again.
Helcurt is now weakened!
As the demon lays on the ground, he knows for sure that one last bullet could end his life. Panting heavily, he started at the demon hunter who immediately turn the tides against him in just a spur of the moment. "Could this be my end?" he thought to himself.
Granger is about to launch his final bullet however...
"Watch you back!" a woman's voice came from behind him.
Granger turned his head around as he saw a ball of blood charging towards him. He then realized it came from the queen of the apocalypse, Alice.
He successfully dodged it however in a blink of an eye, Alice is already standing in front of him.
Alice stomped on the ground---the power of blood gushed out from her feet, Granger couldn't move!
Alice turned scarlet filling herself with blood sipping from his foe.
Granger's body weakens as Alice sips his energy inside her.
Suddenly, a silhouette of a man came from beyond Alice carrying a huge sword ready to slash her.
Alice noticed this, and successfully dodged the deadly strike.
Granger recognized the man who came for his aid. It was Alucard who was about to slay Alice from the other side of the forest.
"I'm sorry, she's tougher than I thought she was."
Granger stood up. "It's fine. Now we'll get to face these two and kill my parents' murderer at the same time."
Regardless of being on a 2 on 2 circumstance, Alice thought they're still at a disadvantage since Helcurt is vigorously injured and Alice neglected to slip a great deal of vitality from Granger prior. "Turn everthing to darkness!" she orders his remaining ally flagging him to get away.
Helcurt used his final strength to devour the moonlight thus turning everything black.
The demon hunters cannot afford to make a risky move.
It took a few seconds until the darkness disappeared completely.
Both Alice and Helcurt were all gone.
Granger who acted tough during the scene fainted.
"Hey!" Alucard saw Granger on the ground. He realized that his ally is severely wounded.
He decided to bring him to the hometown of his most trusted allies---the Moon Elves.
The moon elves were living at the legendary Emerald Woodland which is located somewhere west of the Moonlake.
The Moonlake by chance can be found in the middle of the homeland of the orcs and the humans from the Moniyan Empire. Long ago, when the war between orcs and humans emerged, the Moon Elves have no choice but to be involved in order to protect their homeland.

When he was young, Alucard was sent to the Monastery of light after he was being orphaned from the war which happens to have the same fate as Granger. However, unlike him, Alucard was born in the city capital and his parents were one of Tigreal's mentors during that time. Unknown to him, it was Tigreal's overconfidence forced Alucard's parents to sacrifice their own lives.
Hearing the news about his parents' mishief, he went to train in order to secure a high rank in the Order of Imperial Knights.
After a few years of training, he shared his plan the other knights however, only Tigreal and Matthaius joined his assembly.
That evening, they planned to make their move and went deep in the southern forest. However, something terrible happened...
A group of Abyssal demons ambushed them. The three has no choice but to withdraw the planned attack but, Alucard was caught by one of the demons. Only Tigreal and Matthaius made it home.
Alucard was imprisoned. He was tortured, even to the point near death. During that time, his mind was consumed with surviving moment to moment. In spite of the fact that he was humiliated on many occasions by his devil captors, he never surrendered his longing for retribution. It was this longing which gave him solidarity to endure his long periods of detainment.
Soon after, the demon hunters went for his rescue.
It was a grueling battle between the Abyssals and his rescuers. Yet, during their escape, Alucard was separated from the demon hunters. There he crossed paths with the Moon Elf archer Miya who found him lying unconscious beside the Moonlake. He was then aided by their Moon Elf King Estes and since then, after recovering and returning back to the empire---unwilling to return to the Order of the Imperial Knights, he decided to be a demon hunter who made a vow in his heart to protect the moon elves with his life.

Granger woke up later on, and realized he's someplace unfamiliar to him. "What happened?" He asked.
Alucard who was sitting on a chair beside him said. "The last battle we had against the Abyssals took a great toll against your body. That's why I brought you here so that you can heal up quickly."
"What is this place?"
"Its the hometown of the Moon elves."
Their small talk was cut off after elves' signal horn sounded!
Miya the Moon elf archer arrived. "It's a dark elf! One of them is invading our kingdom!"
Miya gathered the Moon elf warriors outside the walls preparing for battle.
However...only one of the dark elves can be seen.
"It's Karina, one of the dark elves outstanding assassins." said Miya.
Alucard seems confused..."But why would she rush here alone?"
Miya stood in front of the Moon Elf battalion trying to pry some information from the dark elf. But Karina's answer carried perplexity to everybody.
Karina dropped her blades on the ground. "I did not came here for battle, I need your help!"
