5 Chapter Five: Blinded by Revenge

Deep within the Askati forest, lies a number of ancient inhabitants which masters the ancient sky magic once their blood has been "awakened". This tribe is also known as the crow people. King Osana, became the ruler of this tribe after he unites the people within.

That evening, as the stars look like dazzling snowflakes of silver, twinkling above the night sky, a lady so fair and elegant, stood beside the porch gazing above the skies, hoping for a joyous celebration the next day. For she---the princess of the kingdom, will soon exchange vows with the love of her life.

Her peaceful lounge was put to a hold when her father, the great King Osana suddenly arrived.

"Father."

"Hello Pharsa, my dearest child. Finally, your most awaited wedding day is here."

Pharsa frowned…

"But even until now, my blood is yet to be awakened. I don't even know if I really am special."

The King embraced his beloved daughter trying to comfort her.

"You are special, my child!"

The Next Day…

Everyone gathered to the sanctuary in order to attend a joyous event. It was the most awaited wedding between princess Pharsa and his beloved Verrie.

The celebration continues peacefully in order. However, after the tribe elder announced the groom and the bride as husband and wife, a huge explosion occurred!

The branches from the trees were tweaking hard as strong winds howled, changing the fair atmosphere into chaos!

Everyone was in deep shock!

"Everyone don't panic! Be alert! We've encountered a lot of intruders before!" King Osana ordered his men.

His voice is trembling for he knew this opponent isn't one of the normal opponents they've fought before! He knew deep within his heart that the intruders today are something different! Something more dreadful!

Not long enough, the war had commenced!

The high ranking mages from the tribe gathered their battalion to initiate the best defenses they can form.

The abyssal demons charged towards the tribe's kingdom while the crow people used their energy impact to repel the demons entering their territory.

It was a bloody war between two factions!

The crow people strikes magic from the distances, striking the demons from the air!

But the demons were too strong!

Little by little, they draw closer and closer to the heart of the empire.

King Osana, couldn't bear his people's suffering and decided to join the front lines as well. Ordering other crow warriors to deepen their spiritual unity with one another to increase the magic unleashed using their magical scepters.

Their magic power raised up to some point where no other regular crow warrior could ever imagine!

The demons have no other choice but to back out!

Everything seems going according to plan for the crow men…

However…

The skies began to darken as the surroundings is filled with shadows.

Then a loud creepy voice suddenly appeared!

"HAHAHA TREMBLE!"

Unable to aim their magic towards their enemies, the crow men have no choice but to minimize their abilities.

And thus…it created a huge opportunity for the demons to strike the weakened warriors!

When the shadows began to vanish, the crow warriors were slowly minimizing in numbers.

Pharsa saw his father lying on the ground holding on for dear life.

His eyes widened in shock and agony as she witnesses a painful picture from his father.

Helcurt crawled towards King Osana's body.

The King who still has a chance to live begged for his life and for his people.

"Please spare me, spare all of us."

The crawling hideous demon faced the dying king, uttering these words…

"Your death, doesn't concern me!" as he walks away facing the remaining crow people.

Soon the demons charged towards the king's body and little by little devoured his flesh.

After the defensive units are taken down, Helcurt escorted the Queen of the apocalypse Alice. Who is infamous for enslaving one of the most barbaric tribes of the land of dawn---the orcs.

"Turn everything to darkness!"

The demons charged as their master gives them go signal.

It seemed hopeless for the crow people to make a fight for it since their ruler and warriors are all gone.

Pharsa who once was imprisoned by fear is now brimmed with great rage!

Seeing her father's unfortunate demise had awakened his blood from deep slumber!

Her rage is so immense that it even made the apocalypse queen tremble for a second.

Pharsa's appearance began to change as her newly awakened power coursed her veins. Her eyes clouded over, as one side of her hair turned pure white.

She soared to the sky and unleashed a torrential feathered air strike to drive demons away from their location.

The demons couldn't push further!

The abyssal forces are at a disadvantage here, for Pharsa's power is really huge.

Helcurt rushed towards the queen's position.

"I'll devour the light!" he said.

The skies grew dark once again. Yet Pharsa's power didn't budge even one bit. Since her vision was already gone, using darkness isn't an issue as she releases her power all throughout her surroundings.

"She's a tough lady!" said Helcurt while slowly backing down.

Alice smirked as she finally saw a devastating flaw in Pharsa's attacks!

"Using too much power can weaken one's body. Besides, she is blinded because of her revenge and thus her vision is already gone. It is impossible for her to move from her position once she stopped casting her magic. After that, death follows her path."

Pharsa's power is starting to weakened.

"Here's our chance!" Helcurt immediately dashed towards the princess's position getting ready to slash her to her death.

However…

A white crow flew quickly towards the charging demon, distracting him to attack his prey.

It was Verrie, her husband who was among the front lines who miraculously survived during the clash.

The bird immediately rushed towards his helpless wife.

"Pharsa, my wife, let's form a spiritual unity that binds us together. From now on I will serve as your eyes. Let's face these demons together!"

Pharsa and her husband Verrie shared each of their powers and thus their visions are finally interconnected with each other.

"I'll be your eyes along the way."

Alice, alongside Helcurt together with other abyssal demons made their final charge among the remaining inhabitants of the crow people.

Pharsa stood up and was about to summon her remaining powers to drive away the dreadful demons trying to eliminate their tribe.

She was about to summon her final airstrike until…

"Killing is always better than giving mercy!"

Blades swung from left to right, slashing demons to their deaths.

"It's him! The notorious demon hunter from the Moniyan Empire, Alucard." Cried one of the abyssal demons.

"Tsk, what a nuisance! Helcurt, gather your men, well fall back for now! Turn everything to darkness!" Alice ordered her men to fall back after she realized they were currently on a disadvantage!

Helcurt, devours the light as they flee the bloody battlefield!

Alucard swung his swords against every demon who stood up throughout his way.

The abyssal monsters decided to split their remaining forces into two groups. One led by Alice and one by Helcurt. This is to counter Alucard from chasing both of them.

Both of them doesn't have much energy left to fight, since Pharsa made them put them in hard time.

Helcurt's monsters went straight towards the western side of the forest, while Alice and her remaining monsters went directly to the south.

While Helcurt is quickly fleeing away from the forest of Askati, he did not noticed that his remaining monsters were slain little by little until.

All that's left is none!

Helcurt felt a dangerous vibe lurking throughout his soul.

He stopped running and stopped acting like a coward he once was. As the evening falls, he can sense that the stalker is within his range.

"Whoever you are, let's settle this."

The demon can hear the footsteps approaching---one by one.

He can hear the metallic sounds of a gun being reloaded. He faced towards a huge rock.

The moon shined brighter and the appearance of his stalker is slowly revealing. Thus, he discovered, that his stalker is a young man, carrying a long barreled revolver on his right and a violin case on his left.

This man uttered cold yet serious words.

"Alright then, let's make this quick!"

Helcurt put on a smirk on his face, since he thought that his stalker is less of a threat than what he expected.

As he prepared his deadly blades, he remarked...

"Night has fallen! Let the killing begin!"
