12 We Can't Die Now

Every single human being in the building just stood there in a long, uneasy silence.

Teru started to breathe frantically and eventually screamed towards Light, "What's going on?! I did everything you told me to do God!"

Everyone turned to Light in utter confusion and shock.

"W-What are y-you talking about? I'm not w-what you think I-I am." stuttered Light, worried that Teru has given him away.

"Why are you stuttering so much, Light Yagami?" asked Near, "is it because you are Kira and you don't want to give your game away?"

Light screeched,"How dare you accuse me of such things! I am not kira!"

"It's useless lying, Light. You already proved that you are Kira by those 2 little words you said, 'I win'." replied Near, "It's too late for you and your 'sidekick'. I win, you lose."

Light was enraged that Teru gave his role away; he doesn't know what's going to happen to him and Teru. They've only just met their biological parents.

Everyone is surprised that Light was Kira. The Japanese Police Force stepped away from Light because they didn't know what he was capable of. Eventually Matsuda plucked up his courage, got his pistol and shot Light multiple times in the chest.

"You absolute bitch! I trusted you! I can't believe I've been with you all this time and you were Kira all along." cried Matsuda.

"Your such an idiot, Matsuda!" shouted Light, breathless, "I... I can't die... now. I've only just found something... important... My 'parents' and 'sister' are not my actual... family... I was... adopted, along with... Teru; we are brothers... and we've got 3 other... siblings."

Everyone is absolutely shocked and devastated on whats going on with the whole situation.

Matsuda fell to his knees and cried, "What have I done..."

Aizawa then said, "It is ok, Matsuda. It's for the greater good of humanity."

"No it's not ok!" screeched Matsuda in regret, "Light is going to die just after realising he is adopted and has only seen his parents once. I'm... I'm going to become a murderer if Light dies now!"

Light managed to get to his knees. And then Ryuk spoke out, "Hey, Light. It's my time to write your name into the deathnote. It's time for you to die."

"No!" screeched Light, "I can't, Ryuk! Please let me live longer! I need to be with my family; just please let me live!"

Ryuk then replied, "I'm sorry, Light. There is nothing that can change the time of death."

Light cried in agony, "Damn it! Teru, run! Please run! Get out of here; leave the city... leave the country if you must! You need to live your life! Make sure to look after our family!"

"Goodbye, brother. I'm gonna miss you." said Teru.

Teru then rushed out of the building crying along the way.

"Near, please don't kill him! He's my brother and he needs to have a good life." said Light desperatly.

"I can't promise that, Light." replied Near aith no emotion.

Light then replied, "Argh! I hate you Near! Ryuk, please don't kill me; you can clearly see how much pain and stress I'm in. Please consider giving me a bit longer to live."

Ryuk had a good long thought and eventually gave an answer, "Ok. I'll give a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 5 years to live; this is because I want you to improve health and wellbeing and give you enough time with your real family. If this doesn't go to plan I will, and I mean will, kill you immediately. Is that a fair enough deal?"

"Yes, Ryuk, it is a good deal. Now can someone get me an ambulance."
