3 The DNA Test

Teru was lying in bed, thinking about life if kira didn't exist and the mass killings never actually happened. He was also thinking about his parents, he never met his dad and always wondered who he was.

2 Days Later

Teru and Light are at a restaurant talking about more plans on how to make the world a perfect place but then they started to move on to family life. "So, Light, before you became who you are now, how was your life before and did you have any good relationships with your family?" questioned Teru.

"Before the Death Note came, I was finding my life quite boring and I just didn't know what I wanted to do. When I was with my friends, I just didn't find their chats interesting and I just never understood them." Light replied, "I did have really good relationships with my mother and sister but my sister used to annoy me from time to time. But my relationship with my father was a bit random I must say, we often argued and not speak to eachother for long periods at a time. Sometimes we would be fine though."

"W-What's its like to have a father? Its just that I've never had one growing up." Teru asked in a saddened way.

"Well, what it is like to have a father is he would be by your side in any situation, he would help you out if you had problems and other stuff like that." Light answered. "I'm sorry that you never had a father, it must of been hard." Teru replied, "It's fine, you don't need to be sorry. Anyway I've been wanting to find my father. I want to take a DNA test so I can use that to see if I can track him down."

"I will help you." said Light in a hopeful way, "And I've been wanting to take a DNA test aswell because I want to learn more about my family heritage."

After they had their meal they went to a shop to get a DNA kit. Teru and Light spat into the test tubes and sent the packages to the testing labs so they can find out their family heritage.

4 weeks later

During the 4 weeks many killings have happened and more kira worshippers have joined the big fight to make the world a better place. Mogi and Misa have been captured during those 4 weeks and still are but they are soon to be released by Near. Light and Teru meet up to see the DNA results.

Light asked Teru, "Are you ready for this, Teru?"

Teru answered with, "Yeah I'm ready for this, are you?"

"Yeah I'm also ready." continued Light, "Lets open the box in 3... 2... 1!"

They opened their boxes and rummaged through their results. Teru looked at his results and was absolutely shocked when he saw the DNA matches.

"Teru, are you ok? asked Light.

"M-my genes d-don't match with my mother's. I've checked her DNA... d-does this mean I'm... adopted?" stuttered Teru. "And the bit of paper says I have an older brother that has the name Light."

"Thats weird my genes don't match up with my parents either, and it also says I have a younger brother named..." Light stopped with shock and fear.

"What name does it say, Light?" questioned Teru, worried.

"Teru" Light said in shock.

Light and Teru stared at eachother in disbelief. "Could this mean we're... brothers?" wondered Teru.
