10 Spending Proper Family Time

"I think we went too far yesterday." said Teru.

"What do you mean 'too far'?" asked Light.

"Well, you went mental and you kept shouting questions at our parents. They couldn't really handle it." replied Teru.

"Oh, I didn't really notice." told Light.

"You didn't really notice! I honestly can't believe you!" cried Teru. "I think you have some making up to do. I think you should spend some quality time with our parents. Like you should take them out for a meal."

Light replied, "Fine, I'll do it. But you need to come with me."

They both agreed to the plan. Teru phoned the parents and they liked the idea of Light taking them out for a meal.

Light takes his mother and father to a michelin star restaurant named Suizenji Azumazuchi. He thought it would be a good place to take his parents after a horrendous, stressful time. Teru also joined them at the restaurant. Teru nudged Light and mumbled, "How about you apologise to our parents for starting an arguement yesterday and then start a proper conversation."

"Fine." replied Light. "I-I'm sorry for yesterday, Mother and Father. I didn't mean to get angry, I just wanted some answers."

Mother took Light's hand and held it tightly. "Your father and I understand. I know it must of been stressful for you dealing with this and with your jobs; even with kira being around, its been chaos. " commented mother.

"Yes, mother, it's been very hard for the past few years or so with all these troubles." responded Teru, "we just want everything to go back to the way it once was."

Light, Teru and their parents have a good talk at the restaurant and after they had their meal they went back to the parent's house for a while.

"So... Did you 3 other children know that me and Light existed?" asked Teru.

"Yes, but they only just found out a couple of years ago." replied their mother neevously.

"Well, that's good that they know but make sure to not be so secretive anymore. Sometimes you family has the right to know certain things." said Light.

"We know." answered their father, "We will try our best to be less secretive and I'll make sure you guys will know what's going on; You lot will have to the same, ok. I want us to be a family again."

light, Teru, their siblings and parents spent some quality time together by playing board games, telling jokes, having a little party and many more fun things.

When it came to late afternoon, Light and Teru had to leave as they had 'important business' to attend to in a day or so.

"Goodbye, mother and father. I will hopefully see you soon." said Teru.

"It has been nice seeing you Teru and Light." replied their mother.

They gave each other a hug and Light and Teru departed.
