4 Some Explaining To Do

Teru and Light are astonished with the results they get from the DNA test. All they know that they could actually be brothers but they are uncertain due to not finding a surname on the bit of paper with information.

"I think our 'parents' have some explaining to do" growled Light. Teru replied agrily, "I agree, I can't believe this is happening right now!"

The Next Day

Light walks down the stairs to talk to his mother, he called his mother over to talk her.

"Mother, I've got a question for you." said Light. "What is it, Light?" asked his mother.

"Am... I adopted? wondered Light.

They both look at eachother in a saddened way.

"Yes, you are adopted, Light." continued his mother, crying as she tells Light, "I'm so sorry for not telling you when you were slightly younger. I wanted to keep you safe!"

Light gets very displeased, "How could you keep this a secret from me! I have rights!" screamed Light. "I-I'm so sorry, Light!" cried Light's mother, "Do you want know more about how you were adopted and your actual parents and name?"

Light's mother answered,"I know that your mother's name is Haruka Eguchi and your father's name is Hiro Eguchi. You have a younger brother, I think his name is Teru. Your parents were unable to look after you both and decided to hand you into an orphanage."

While at Teru's house

"Can we talk for a moment, mother?" asked Teru. "Yes, we can talk." said his mother, curious, "What's the problem, Teru?"

"A-Am I adopted?" Teru wondered.

"Umm..." said Teru's mother, upset. "You are adopted, Teru." "Why didn't you tell me?" asked Teru. His mother said, "I didn't tell you because you were always stressed with what was happening at school and I thought I wouldn't of put more stress on you."

" I understand" Teru said, calmly. "Can you tell me information about my real parents and if I had a different name?"

"Well, I can't remember your parent's names but your mother was very unwell and your father couldn't cope with all the stress so he sent you and your brother to an orphanage." explained the mother. Teru then said,"So, I had a brother?" "Yes you have a brother, I'm pretty sure his name is Light."

"That's interesting." said Teru, intrigued.

Light and Teru meet up 2 days later to discuss what they had talked about with their 'mothers'. "What did you find out, Teru?" asked Light. Teru replied,"I found out that my real mother was very unwell and my father was stressed and wasn't able to look after me and my brother and she did say my brother's name was Light."

"Thats very similar to what I got." said Light, fascinated, "I know that my mother was called Haruka Eguchi and my father was named Hiro Eguchi. I was also told they were both struggling to look after me and brother so they put us in an orphanage. And my brother's name was Teru."

"That is so interesting." said Teru. "Does this mean we are brothers because we have very similar genes and we have some evidence that we are brothers?"

Light replied with,"I guess this means we are brothers."
