1 Chapter 1- What happens after you die

All Liana remembers about her life was a tree, with a human skull hammered onto it. She woke up in a world of darkness, absolutely nothing in sight. She shouted a few times, looked around and finally gave up thinking that there was a way out. Suddenly, a game sprite materialized in front of her in the form a handsome, white haired boy, around the same age as her. The only weird thing was, he was covered in blood and didn't seem very solid. "Hello, I am death himself. I see you have chosen to die instead of live on because of love. You shall become an angel, to guard over the mindless humans who still choose to live. Any questions please ask Nuru, I shall see you again soon, goodbye."

"Wait! How do I-" there was no point. 'Death' had already disappeared into the never ending darkness. Liana started pacing around, trying to take in all the information she had just received. "Nuru? Who's tha-"

"Master? You called me?" politely said a floating creature of some sort that had appeared out of literally nowhere, "What do you need help with? To decide who to kill today? I apologize master, I'm to clueless sometimes," sighed the creature, looking as if she had failed the world.

"So you're Nuru? The thingo that Death assigned to me?" questioned Liana, confused as ever as she certainly had not seen any creature that could float in midair before.

"Yes I certainly am Master. Do you need help with anything?" Replied Nuru.

"Could you possibly explain to me what all this is about? And certainly the part about who to kill today? I came here to see my parents not to kill random people I don't know," Liana was really confused right now, did Death want her to pass some sort of test before she got to see her parents? Come to think of it, he never even mentioned them.

"Of course Master, anything for you. You job here is to kill people in the other world, what you humans call life that are too kind for that world. We need more kind people in our world and unfortunately killing is the only option. Plus, I heard there was overpopulation in the other world, we are helping with that too. Just remember, give no mercy when killing, you kill them, they die and join this world. If you fail to kill, Death will have a severe punishment for you and no one has survived it, I heard it was torturing your loved ones, I don't know how it works though seeing as we are already dead," explained Nuru, as Liana stood there, shocked at such a thing.

"Killing? Really?! Are you guys sure there is no other way? I don't want to kill, I want to have a kind soul, I want to see my parents that"s why I came here," pleaded Liana, " All I want is to see my parents again!"

"Master, I'm afraid that is impossible, Death will not allow that and whatever Death doesn't allow, we can't do. He is the ruler of this world of course. Maybe you should try follow what he wants you to do and soften him up, then he might consider your desire."

Liana sighed, this was going to be way harder than she thought it would be. "Thank you Nuru, I will try my best to get Death to accept my wish and I will do anything in my power to achieve that, I just want to see my sweet parents again."

"Good luck Master, goodbye," and with that, Nuru disappeared.
