2 Chapter 2: First target

Lin Fan quickly ran home with his bags which he threw to the side as soon as he reached his apartment.

He didn't care about them now since he had a date and since it was close to dinner, it was clear that he would have to pay for that as well. Finally he wouldn't have to sit at home eating instant noodles alone.

Lin Fan quickly went through his wardrobe and picked through all his various sets of clothes until he found one that was considered decent. Naturally as someone who spent most of his time at home playing dating sims, he wasn't someone who cared that much about fashion, so his wardrobe was still quite limited.

However he had once dreamed that if he ever were to get a pretty girlfriend, he would be able to go on a date with her. Just for that dream, he had kept one special set of clothes that he never wore, but had ordered specially from a fashion magazine which he had been saving for this moment the entire time.

After quickly showering and also pulling out the cologne that he had never used, but had also saved for this situation. He also began fixing his hair and putting in gel which he normally would have never done.

When he was finally finished, while he did look better than normal, he still wasn't considered handsome.

With his average face and his 5'11 build, he looked a bit lanky and pale since he spent most of his time inside. The clothes that he had ordered were actually a bit too big for him since he had followed the sizing provided by the magazine, but those followed the sizes of the model who was 6'2, which meant that they looked a bit awkward to him.

However, when he looked at himself in the mirror, he even shot finger guns as he asked, "Who is this handsome guy?"

The system inside his head couldn't help almost falling to the ground when it heard this, but it acted like nothing was wrong.

Lin Fan looked at the time and found that it was almost time for his date, he had actually taken close to an hour just to prepare.

Lin Fan quickly headed back to the convenience store and waited outside for the girl to come out. However, as he stood there, he realized that he had made one big mistake, he hadn't even gotten that girl's name.

He quickly looked at his phone and found that luckily the girl had put her name when she put her number in his phone.

He looked at the name with the number, her name was Chu Chu.

As he stood there, he began fantasizing about their future together and whether the name Lin Chu would sound good or if she should keep her maiden name.

While he was just standing there daydreaming, the Chu Chu had actually come out from the back and had been standing on the side watching him with a deep look in her eyes, as well as a faint smile on her lips.

After watching Lin Fan acting like a fool for a bit, she came over with a wide smile on her face as she called out, "Lin Fan, you're here."

Lin Fan immediately jumped to attention and turned around, putting on what he assumed was a cool pose as he said, "Yes, I'm here for our date."

Chu Chu just smiled as she said, "Where are you planning on taking me?"

Lin Fan revealed a smile and said, "I booked a very nice restaurant for us, it's very highly rated."

Chu Chu came forward with a smile and took Lin Fan by the arm.

Lin Fan was shocked when he saw this, but he couldn't help enjoying himself as he felt a bit of pressure wrap around his arm. There were two soft bundles that put just the right amount of pressure on his arm.

He couldn't help taking a look down, looking at those twin peaks that were just the right size. They weren't too big and they weren't too small.

Lin Fan was in a daze for a bit before quickly realizing his mistake and looking up just as quickly.

Of course, Chu Chu's eyes had missed none of that, but strangely all she did was smile.

Lin Fan soon led the way and not long after, they arrived at the restaurant where Lin Fan had made his second mistake.

This was a very popular restaurant and reservations weren't guaranteed, it usually depended on how early one arrived, but they had clearly been too late. When they had arrived, the restaurant was already completely filled with people and the maitre d' clearly stated that there wasn't any space left for them at all.

In the end, the two of them were left awkwardly standing outside of the fancy restaurant, making Lin Fan look like a complete fool.

When Lin Fan was contemplating whether to slam his head into a pole to end it all now or not, Chu Chu spoke first, "How about we go over there instead?"

Lin Fan looked at where Chu Chu had been pointing and he couldn't help being surprised.

What Chu Chu had been pointing at was a normal pizza place that could have been found anywhere. Lin Fan never expected that she would be alright with just this kind of place, but he couldn't help feeling even closer to her.

With a smile, Lin Fan led the way into the pizza place where they had a nice meal talking about everything and nothing. During this time, the system never showed him another notification providing him with different choices, it was all Lin Fan who did the talking.

At first he was quite stiff, but soon he got swept up in Chu Chu's momentum and didn't have any problem talking to her. It seemed like no matter which topic he got into, she always had a way to talk about it.

This kind of a girl was rare, especially one that liked all the same otaku stuff that he did. He really couldn't help feeling like he had just met his soulmate.

The date lasted quite a while since they just spent the entire time talking and learning more about each other. During that time, Lin Fan fell more and more in love with this girl sitting in front of him, thinking that maybe the system was real.

After two hours, they finally decided to call it a night since Chu Chu still had work in the morning, but before they left, she said something that shocked him.

Chu Chu casually took Lin Fan's arm and leaned against him, she whispered in his ear, "Big brother Lin, how about you come home with Chu Chu?"

Lin Fan couldn't believe what he had heard.

He even had to shake his head twice to make sure that there was nothing wrong with his hearing, but even then he still wasn't able to speak. The only thing he could do was give a strong nod.

Normally this would be considered quite off putting, but Chu Chu just smiled as she pulled Lin Fan away with her into a cab.

Chu Chu didn't live that far away from where they had eaten, so it didn't take long before arrived at her apartment.

Once they were there, Lin Fan was still in a daze over what was happening when Chu Chu said, "Why don't you take a shower first?"

Lin Fan was shaken from his shock to be put back into his shock.

This was a line that he had heard many times, but every single time that he had heard it was in a dating sim game. There was no way that he had ever heard it in real life before since he was still a virgin.

Lin Fan didn't care about anything else as he gave a nod and went to the bathroom.

He took the quickest shower in his life and immediately came out with only a towel around his waist.

Chu Chu had been surprised when she saw him come out like she didn't expect him to come out so quickly, but she still revealed a smile as she said, "Why don't you wait on the bed, I'll also take a quick shower and meet you there."

Lin Fan was still in shock over everything that was happening tonight, so he just nodded and mechanically moved over to the bed.

It was only ten minutes into his daze, when he heard the sound of water running in the bathroom that he finally came back to his senses. He couldn't help revealing the widest smile in his entire life as he laid on the bed, looking at the ceiling.

He didn't believe in the system until now, but at this moment, lying in the bed of a girl who he had only gone on a single date with, he had no choice but to believe in it. He never expected to lose his virginity this quickly!

Lin Fan couldn't help letting his imagination run wild. If it was this easy to get a single girl, wouldn't it mean that he would be able to get an entire harem with this system?

While Lin Fan let his imagination run wild, the water in the bathroom stopped running and the door creaked open which Lin Fan didn't notice.

The figure came into the bedroom where Lin Fan was lying on the bed and the moment that figure did, Lin Fan looked up. The moment the figure entered his line of sight, his eyes popped wide open.

Standing in front of him without any clothes was Chu Chu, moving slowly over towards him with a smile.

Lin Fan just laid there in a daze, trying to burn this image in his mental hard drive.

Chu Chu finally arrived in front of the bed and with a smile, she sat down right atop Lin Fan, mounting herself in position.

As Lin Fan looked up, he saw her twin peaks fully bared in front of his eyes, with a tiny pink tip right atop those white mounds. If this was an anime, he definitely would have had an explosive nosebleed at this point.

But then something happened that Lin Fan never expected.

Before he could even react, there was a sudden pain that came from his chest.

Lin Fan looked down to see the handle of a knife sticking right out of his chest and blood gushing out. He could even taste the blood that was gurgling up his throat, filling his mouth.

Lin Fan was no longer in a daze as his fight or flight reaction kicked in.

Lin Fan pushed Chu Chu off himself and threw her to the side as he stood up and ran for the door, but before he could even reach it, his body lost all strength and he collapsed on the floor.

With the tiny bit of strength that he did have left, he tried to crawl towards the door, but all he could do was reach the kitchen.

From behind him, Chu Chu's voice rang out in an almost singing-like manner, like she was teasing him, "Now, now, don't run. You're getting blood all over the place and it really is hard to clean."

Lin Fan didn't listen to any of this as he continued to crawl with all the strength that he could muster, but he could feel his body becoming colder as he left a trail of blood behind him.

In the end, the only thing he could reach was the refrigerator.

Lin Fan pulled open the door in his desperation, looking for anything that could help him, but there was nothing there.

The last thing that Lin Fan saw was another face that was filled with the same despair that he currently had on his face falling out of the refrigerator.

At that point, he had lost all consciousness.

"Host, you have died."
