It was about time now that Adir returns to school. Killian made efforts to visit him every day during that time but he would receive a cold scowl and remark...

"Do you see the sadness in my eyes?"

Killian smiled as he remembers how Adir handled the situation. He softly skids to the classroom where the first lesson will take place soon.

He wasn't a center of attention but he had few friends apart from Adir too. So when he entered the class few kids came to greet him including the girl he was supposed to be dating.

Shit! He totally forgot about Mae. He put on that smile and went to sit beside Mae, who is his seatmate since this semester started...

Because they are dating.

"Hey, boyfriend!" Mae did in a sweet voice that made Killian cringe but he smiled softly because "the" boyfriend, duh!

"Hey, Mae! How was your weekend?" He asked keeping a conversation natural but anyone would know how forced that is.

Mae chuckled because she is used to how awkward her boyfriend is. She put her hand on Killian's arm making him return his attention back from gloomy Adir.

When Mae noticed where he was staring at, she scrunched her eyebrows. She relaxed them and smiled brightly again.

"Is Adir okay now? You seem worried!" She said putting that sweet smile again. Killian sighed in despair.

"I wish I could tell! I don't see a smile on that face anymore! Well, enough of that!" He said focusing on a book in front of him which lost interest the moment it opened.

Soon the door is opened and a playful Ryan came in. He went directly to Adir smiling and shouting greetings. Adir nodded and his face relaxed?

Actually, everyone wonders how Ryan can bring that face to relax! Like you see a scowl on that face 24/7! He sat beside him which is always empty since no one wants to sit beside him...

Or he doesn't want anyone to sit beside him!

"My dad gave me these food coupons! Wanna have lunch together later?" Ryan said all buddy again. Adir scoffed.

"Was there a choice in that sentence?" Adir said all cold. Ryan laughed with his loud, contagious laugh.

"Look at you blushing! Like, marry food already! You blush only when food is mentioned!" Ryan exclaimed making everyone turn to see blushing Adir, only it was the same poker face.

How does he differentiate the faces?

Before Ryan said anything non-existent, the homeroom teacher came in, followed by a boy. He was so handsome that girls just squealed in fangirl.

Ryan said his goodbye and bolted out of the class.

"Okay, guys! We have a new guy! Introduce yourself!" The homeroom teacher said to the new boy.

He was tall, pale, and had unusual blue hair.

Killian heard Adir grunting in frustration. He smiled and shook his head.

"Hello everyone! My name is Natos Adamos! Nice meeting you, I hope we can be friends!" He said smiling all shiny, girls squealing in response.

"Strange name! Greek?" The homeroom teacher asked smiling. Natos nodded.

"Okay, go sit at an empty seat!" The homeroom teacher said and continued to talk about his weekend date.

There were many empty seats, but Natos chose to sit beside Adir, and Adir let him.

That shock everyone!

Killian looked at Natos who was smiling brightly at Adir. Adir just kept glaring at him but didn't say anything.

Strangely, that act didn't please Killian. He turned to the teacher with a hurt look.

Everyone knows how humiliating Adir was the first day of their senior year. He rudely refused everyone who wanted to sit beside him, even Killian.

Maybe if Ryan was in their class, they would sit together. They were in the same classes for the past two years anyway.

Killian tried to listen to the teacher but he was annoyed by small talks between the new guy and Adir.

When the first two lessons were over everyone tried to catch up with their friends.

Mae turned to Killian who had a gloomy atmosphere.

"What's up with you?" She asked so done with everything he is been doing since morning. Killian flinched by the time in her voice. He angrily turned to Mae.

"Did you just raised your voice on me? And what made you think I will tolerate that too? Fuck, you don't own me, Mae!" Killian said and went out in frustration.

Everyone was surprised by that explosion. Mae turned to Adir in frustration.

"The fuck you glaring at? Go save your non-existing relationship, bitch!"  Adir never liked Mae.

It may be because he like Killian, but no, there is something snapping inside him anytime he sees Mae.

Mae looked shocked at the turn of events. She ran out crying.

"Serve her right! She was acting so high and mighty!

"Might as well leave our Kai-"

"STOP YOUR HYPOCRITICAL REMARKS OR ELSE-I.," Adir said in the lowest voice you ever heard that turned into a growl instead. People stopped and looked at him.

"And don't call him Kai! If you can't call his name, don't talk about him!" Adir said and went outside with his usual scowl on.

"Kyaaaa! He is so kyuuuuut!"

"He is so bad I want to eat him!"

"He just sounded like Wattpad mafia boss! Uwaa!"

Natos smiled after hearing those remarks and followed Adir outside.

"I thought I told you I need my peace! But you took human form and followed me here?" Adir asked without turning back.

Natos sighed.

"I told you I wi-"

"Then do normal things humans do! First, you chose to be 18, act like one! You are acting like a king's guard on coronation day!

Second your hair, like who the frick has that colorful hair? And we are not allowed to dye our hair, so you can't tell discipline teacher that 'I have blue hair because I'm Greek'

And lastly, who on Earth transfers on the second semester of senior year? What did you do?"

Natos just stood there 👁️👄👁️ in awe! That got to be the longest and fastest paragraph Adir ever talked about.

When Adir received no response, he took off and Natos was stopped by the discipline teacher.

He scoffed and made his way to an isolated corner so he can have a smoke. But when he was going there, he heard two people arguing.

"...and how the hell did Adir come in this? This is between you and me!" Killian said now more impatient than before.

Mae still sobbing,

"You were weird all morning while staring at him! How is it not because of him-"

"Jesus Christ! The drama is destroying my eyes! Will you stop? If you are finding someone to blame, then you are in for a ride! If you are going to amend your thing leave me out of it!" Adir said unable to eavesdrop.

"Hey Kai, can I have my lighter back? And please leave my beautiful spot out of your arguments!"

[José: I thought you don't want Killian to be called

Adir: Yeah, so?

José: You are doing it!👁️👄👁️

Adir: Shut up, and write the story dumbass😡

José: Oh, right! Sorry everyone 🙆]

Killian smiled and started to rummage through his trouser pocket. Mae looked at Killian having that stupid smile.

She gritted her teeth in remorse.

"Here you go! Don't smoke too much, it's harmful!" Killian said and left the scene.

"Well, let me tell you a thing or two! Don't be so jealous of me, sister! Killian is like my other half because we have grown up together so it's natural to be worried about each other!"

Adir stopped and looked at Mae if she was paying attention and she was still glaring at her. He smirked.

"Lovely! I may be gay, but that doesn't mean my homie is gay too! And, you are lucky Kai is dating you, you don't deserve him even bit! Well if you excuse me!" Adir said and light up his cigarette he brought.

Mae was in a loss of words because everything Adir said was so true. She doesn't deserve him, why was she so possessive?

But, it's normal to be jealous of relationships?

She was walking in slow motion with a lot in her mind. Adir is known for his poker face, but he has shown some total mocking sarcasm when talking to her.

She felt so humiliated! How can she beat an affection built in 18 years? With one built-in only three months?

When she wasn't looking, she bumped into someone. You know, your usual dramatic bumps in movie fiction.

Books scattering, some files flying, weird light illuminating the other party, saying sorry simultaneously. Saying it's okay simultaneously, awkward smiles.

You know the drill😌

"Uhm, sorry! I was totally not looking forward!" The other girl with weirdly too much blonde hair, tied into pigtails and a short skirt that could get her into trouble.

Her overall appearance was like one of those Japanese anime girls in lolita styled dresses.

"It's okay! We all have done that at some points" Mae said making the girl laugh which was also sooo, anime!

She must be a hardcore anime lover if she decided to change her lifestyle like that.

"Okay, see you around!" The other girl said and disappeared in the crowd of kids trying to find their way back to class since the break was over.

Mae didn't want to go to the class, so she made her way to the nurse's office. Only no one was in there.

She sighed and went in the infirmary and laid down, relaxing.

She needs to get her queen's side in control. How dare she think she can control Killian like that? She ruffled her hair in frustration.

Before she drifted further in her remorseful thoughts, she fell asleep! Well, that was the worst part.

She experienced what people would call a nightmare! Only this one was so vivid because she pinched herself!

Why was it felt so vivid?

She was woken up by a soft shook of someone calling her name.

"Marianne! Are you okay? You have been speaking a strange language! Is everything okay?" She opened her eyes to see the same anime girl. She nodded and tried to collect a few surrounding facts.

Wait, did this girl just...

"What did you just call me?" She said trying to sit. The Lolita girl just looked at her confused.

"Apparently, I am known as Mae in this school! How did you know my full name is Marianne? Who are you?" She asked lowering her voice.

The girl looked at her with a blank expression.

"Am I supposed to be scared? I don't quite follow! I saw your classmate who came to fill in your infirmary details writing Marianne? Or did I see wrong? Oh well, I am excited about nothing!" The girl said sounding so disappointed.

Now it was the time for Mae to be in a confused loop.

"Which classmate?" She asked low-key, who am I kidding? HIGH-KEY hoping it's Killian

"Was his name Andre? Adin? Ayden I think!" She said and shrugged her shoulders.

Mae sighed in disappointment. That's Adir. How come Adir was here but not Killian? Maybe he is still mad at her?

"How long was I out?" The girl looked up thoughtful.

"Mh! Enough for people to eat lunch, go to afternoon classes, and go home? Probably starting dinner by now!" She said playing with her pigtails.

The fuck?

Then what was that chick still doing there? They are basically strangers! Well, this shows how much her classmates hate her.

No one stayed with her when she was out cold for nearly five hours! Only a stranger whom she met earlier.

She looked at the stranger who was smiling

" If you are stable now I can walk you home! My brother happens to work the next few blocks so he can drive us!" She said smiling with her eyes closed.

Sun rays are emitted from this girl. A real serotonin booster.

But something still bothers her!

Marianne!

"About your name! Did you register as Mae in official school registration?" The girl asked out of the blue.

"Birth certificate, national ID, and everywhere else! Why?" Mae asked wanting to know how did she know the name!

"Well, I guess I was too excited I made that up! I really wanted to meet one!" She said in a hushed voice which was heard by Mae for obvious reasons.

She suddenly lights up and extended her hand to a shocked Mae.

"Nice meeting you! My name is Marianne! Hope we will get along! You can call me Ann if you like!" Ann said shaking Mae's hand. Mae smiled and nodded.

Well, that went well!

No one knows she has a real name and that's Marianne. Because that name that she buried, hold a painful, scary truth.

And no one knows that except for her parents and siblings who died ten years ago!
