1 Death Bringer

Andrew Dawn, 15 years old tomorow, just finished my training outside so i went to take a bath and get ready for breakfast. I am humming on my way there as today is the day i can open my potential and start training as a Dominator.

I am slightly tall for my age as i reach 1,74m i've got silver hair, the family trait which are green eyes and a sculpted face that resembles both my parents that were called the leaders of their generation in terms of beauty and talent.

My body is sturdy as a result of daily training. Even though my father says that i am almost as handsome as him at that age, my mother often maintiones that my father was called a feminist male so i am not sure if that is a good thing.

Dominator is the title for the ones that can control aether into their body and weapons to unleash devastating powers depending on their fate. Fate is checked at the age of 15 and dictates the most optimal path, if there is one, for a person to take as a Dominator. Of course you can become strong even if you deviate from your chosen fate but you will not reach your strongest.

There were rare cases when people achived a greater power than their fate dictated but those are happening once in two billion people so usually everyone is satisfied with their fate.

The fates of people are categorised in different ranks. These ranks comprise most of people's fates. When one's fate isn't in these ranks it means that the person is either gonna be the strongest in his era, either he is unique in his own way. The ranks are as follows: Baron, Viscount, Earl, Marquess, Duke, Prince, King, Emperor, Ruler. The higher you fate rank is the more chances are for you to reach a higher rank.

Usually people with earl fate rank can at most reach marquess rank if they struggle and have unhindered will.

The Rulers and called so because each of them have a technique created with their own aether that rule over all techniques of the said class. As an example as long as the ruler created a defense technique all other defense technique in a certain range based on the ruler's comprehension are weakened and even nullified if the difference is enormus. Of course it is harder than ascending to heavens to create a ruler's technique that defendes againist anything.

So rulers focus on defending aether based attacks or just raw strenght or elemental damage. Elemental damage refers to attacks formed from the comprehension of a certain element from the world. The most seen elements are water wind fire and earth as you can get insight anywhere on these. There are more elements that a few could get insight on from lucky circumstances or near death experiences. Few known are lightning, light, time, space, death, life.

The test for fate rank can determine your talent for elements, for weapons, your training speed and your insight.

All of these appear in your mind the moment you reach 15. As it is said that this is the best age you can start training as your body stopped it's most important developments. In the back of your palm will appear a insignia depending on your fate rank and with that insignia and a specifically created technique others can check your talents with your consent.

Only the training speed and your talent for weapons can be improved so usually academies put a higher importance on insight and elemental talent.

My Dawn family from the Sun Empire is considered a top family in the continent. My father, Markus Dawn, is one of the three Emperor rank Dominators and we even had Rulers in our family's history. Currently the continent hasn't got a single ruler in the last 200 years.

My father has the most chances to become a Rules Dominator as his age is only 40 years old compared the the other two that are alive for 300 years.

My family has created the most lightning element dominators so we are also called the Lightning Holders.

Everyone usually starts realising their element affinity from 13 to 15 years old as they are exposed to lots of elements. Unfortunately i am not one of them. Even though my father keeps trying to encourage me that i have a special element, i am skeptical as i dont belive in dreams. The only thing that gave me assurance is my own training as i feel myself becoming stronger.

Currently my father left for a important call from another empire. He said that he will be back before i become 15 but he is still unheard of.

"Mom, did dad tell you something about him being away so much?"

"No honey, but i am sure he will be back soon enough. Don't worry, he won't miss your birthday if it wasn't important."

"Alright. It doesn't matter as long as he comes back fast enough so that we can start training."

*Alcer Empire, the same time*

A black haired male that has green eyes which were colder than ice at the moment was blocked by two humans as he stood still in the air knowing their status. His body gave off a feeling of dread as every muscle was trained for the best usefulness in the art of killing.

"Are you sure you want to walk down this road?" I ask as my killing intent soars to the sky. Tomorow is my son' s birthday and here i am getting attack by two Emperors. I sense their malicious intents so i draw my sword that followed me from the time i passed Prince rank. The sword mixed with my killing intent as it gave a deathly aura that could suffocate weaker dominators just by existing.

"Hahahahha, Markus, you think we will let this chance slide and wait for you to become a Ruler?" Asked one of them and i instantly realised that they would use everything they have to bring me down here as the moment i escape is the moment they are signed on the death note.

I escape a long sigh as i think about my wife that awaits for me at home and my child to which i promised i will train him the moment he starts on the dominators road. "One pays my own life, two is bonus" i mutter under my breath as my aura surges and i attack first to ensure as much damage on them as i can. That was my life ideology as i got attacked when i was roaming the continent but now that i got a family i think my faith lays somewhere else.
