109 Top Hunter

Sylar's POV:

"Are you serious?" I asked as I tugged on the maid's arm. Not again! Not another damn dinner party. She sighed and pulled away from me.

"Mr. Rosario, you need to get dressed. It starts in ten minutes!" She told me and frowned. "If you are having trouble figuring out what to wear, then let me find something, but our mistress wants you at her dinner table."

"No way," I growled. "The last one was a bore. I'd go home if I didn't know any better that a handsome and tasty butler was right under my nose here." I glanced towards the door. "Tell Sera I'm sick." She frowned at me.

"You know... even though I don't think William is all that, he's going to be serving at dinner tonight- serving most of dinner. Alfred has chosen to watch him handle everything tonight." That means Dmitri is going to be there eyeing him down. I have to go now to keep his filthy fangs off of what's mine.

"Fine," I sighed out. I'll put something quick on and get down there to my human butler. I stomped into the closet and grabbed a suit to go over my shirt I had on and yanked it on before heading towards the door. I'm coming William. I heard her trailing after me with a sigh.

"I don't know what he likes about that guy. He's not really worth the position at all," she muttered under breath. "At least he's going though...."

"HE is very delicious tasting and now my boyfriend so don't disrespect him~ He's going to be royal when I marry him. A prince.... A prince butler~" I purred at the thought. He's going to be so great standing there next to our wedding rings on a pillow.... He's going to look marvelous in our honey moon suite.

"Pfft, you can't marry a butler," she told me and giggled. "That's absurd. You're royalty."

"I don't care. Besides... It's not like I'll ever be king." I muttered and then smirked. But I will always be a prince. "I'm the last son of my father. I need to make other advances in life besides sitting around on a pile of cushion. I want a sexy butler."

"He's not even sexy," she told me and wrinkled up her nose. "He's too boy like to be sexy, and even then, he's annoying. He's always smiling and running around like everything is sunshine and rainbows, and then he gets the position a lot of us have worked hard for when all he used to do was scrub the floors and dust."

"I should make him dust for me," I mumbled thoughtfully. I smirked at the thought. I bet he can reach really low places. She gagged at the thought.

"Ew, if you want someone to do that, you should ask Eric," she told me. "He's way better looking."

"I rather have my sweet William. His blood is so delicious~" I sighed out happily before looking over my shoulder at her. "He is going to be head butler so you better be more kind to him or he might feed you to the resistance." She rolled her eyes.

"He gets worse," she told me and shrugged. "Trust me, I've heard some of the top butlers around here bragging about 'accidentally' spilling water on him. He's fine though. He apologizes rather quickly about getting in their ways and then cleans up the mess then gives that big goofy smile of his."

"You're all terrible to him. He's going higher up in the world because he's actually kind. You all should take notes from him. Everyone has feelings and you shouldn't bully a fellow servant. No matter how low or high their rank... No matter what they look like either. You're lucky to be living under the roof of a vampire family that thinks of servants instead of draining them from every drop of blood and tossing them away to the werewolves waiting outside. You could have worse. I know worse. I know soulless huntresses that took my soul mate from me.... All because they were trying to kill me..." I felt my eyes tear up. "There's so much evil in this world." She widened her eyes slightly then immediately looked like she regretted what she had said to me.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Rosario.... I had no clue... and I'll watch out for him a little more I guess...." She mumbled to me and then rubbed her arm awkwardly. "You're right. We do have nice masters."

"A little bit of kindness never killed anyone. Show your fellow servants as much as you can... because they are the same species as you and they deserve respect. You're respected by your masters you know. If you weren't then you would be a meal and nothing more." She rubbed her neck and winced before she nodded.

"Yes sir," she whispered then stopped outside a door. She glanced at it then at me. "Well, here we are," she told me then got the door for me. "You're sitting by our mistress again tonight." I looked in at the table, noticing it was the same seating order as before. I gave her a smile.

"Thanks for talking me into this." I stepped into the room and walked up to my empty chair, taking a seat.

"Sylar~! I'm glad you came." Sera gave me a huge smile. "We have a great discussion lingering in the room. We were wanting to know about Colsin." William tensed a bit and looked my way as he was looking over the carts of food. He bit his bottom lip then quickly picked up a few plates and started to set them out in front of the guests- first Sera, then me, then Kingsley and Aurelio and so on.

"What exactly?" I asked softly.

"Well we were wanting to know the whole story of course. About his death and where he's buried. Aurelio was getting curious about it with the rest of us since he said you got into some trouble with a witch." I frowned as I remembered Aurelio was ordered to help break my curse.

"It's a long story-"

"Perfect! We'll hear it over dinner." Sera motioned for me to go on. Terrific. The last story I want to talk about. Maybe it can help me feel better like Amelia helps by just being near me.

"Well..." I grumbled. "I was out with Colsin one night- actually our last time together..." I trailed a little, finding it was helping me go over it in my head. "When two huntresses came out of no where and shot at me," I sighed out. "Colsin took the bullet. It was a quick death." I rubbed at my cheek. "He looked.... Peaceful when he died... but I forgot to tell him I loved him in his dying moments... I thought I could save him during it.... But the bullet was so close to his heart and he screamed when I tried..." I trembled a little. "To get it out... I even tried giving him my blood in the process.... I couldn't save him so.... I decided to get Amelia's help..." I hissed a little. "I'm not sure what happened... I don't remember much from it but his body is missing and Amelia refuses to bring it up when I ask. She doesn't like werewolves...." I trailed off.

"So Amelia is your witch now?" Sera asked me.

"Yeah.... I'm her familiar now. I'm going to guess she tricked me or something." I sighed. "I'm a bit grateful for it because she's using magic to heal my aching heart." I looked towards William.

"That's terrible about Colsin...."

"We gave him an empty grave," I grumbled. "It's in the maze." William gave me a small, worried look as he returned to the cart of food and picked up a large bottle of warm blood before he began to pour it into their glasses, skipping over me as he passed by. I noticed my glass was missing as well, unlike the others. I frowned a little. Where the hell is mine? He's not giving me blood? Is he giving me his blood later?

"So you said huntresses?" Sera asked. "Ross and I encountered two at the ball- Juliette's ball."

"And now you have another mate," Dmitri purred at her. "I've heard that you two literally bumped into each other during all the commotion."

"Yeah~ He's moving into town to be closer to me," Sera giggled out. "He's such a gentleman... He's a doctor."

"Aurelio~ We want an egg," Toma said quickly. Ross perked up beside Toma and looked at Aurelio expectantly.

"Uh huh, mating season is about over," he told Aurelio quickly then purred. "We want an eggie before it's over~"

"Tonight?" Aurelio suggested.

"I hope you've touched up in that book of yours... You know Silas will want his kid small again," Kingsley teased him. "He might come for your scalp."

"Wait a second!" Sera said. "We're off topic. Where was I? Oh yeah.... Sylar. Ross was talking to one of the huntresses at the party. What was her name again?"

"Lavender," Ross growled slightly as he looked towards Sera with his response. "She was strange... and then shot up the place with her twin." He looked back towards Aurelio with interest and purred. "I want a boy." That sounds exactly like the ones that killed Colsin. I yanked out my phone quickly and pulled up Silas's ID to message him.

"A boy? Okay. You got one," Aurelio purred out.

Me: Silas. I was talking with Sera at dinner and she said two twins shot up a ball she was recently at. One of them was named Lavender.

Silas: Lavender? She's the current resistance leader- one of them at least. She's here at this movie theatre I'm at.

I glanced up at Dmitri. "Aren't you in the resistance undercover with my brother?" I asked him to make sure. He frowned and nodded.

"Yeah, I am. Why? Is he complaining that I haven't shown up recently? I've been busy."

"At my dinner party," Sera giggled out. That's right. Dmitri has been hanging around here from the request of Sera. Something about family time.

"Well.... He said Lavender is the resistance leader-" I stopped. If he had been listening then he should have got it.

"Huh." Sera grabbed her glass of blood. "That's funny. A huntress head of the resistance."

Me: She killed Colsin.

"Oh shit," Dmitri muttered, the realization slapping him in the face. "We have a fucking hunter at the top. That's why there is a human up there.... She's a hunter. She wants to get rid of the council probably...." He frowned and then looked towards Kara. "Hey, I need to go find Silas," he whispered to her then gently kissed her cheek. "I'll be back. I promise," he purred lovingly to her.

"Silas said she's working at the movie theatre he's currently at," I said quickly, standing up. There's no way I'm giving this chance up to strike my revenge. Dmitri stood up too and looked at Sera.

"You'll have to excuse us," he purred to her and smiled. "I'll make it up to you later." William frowned a bit as he looked towards me and then walked up, picking up my plate.

"Be careful," he whispered to me then gave me a cute smile. "If you're going over there...."

"Yeah... I will," I purred to him.

"I guess we'll have to have dinner another night," Sera said quickly. "Go ahead boys and don't miss this chance." She waved at us.

"I guess I'm watching Vampire Diaries tonight alone," Kara mumbled happily. "Great! I can go back to where I left off." Dmitri frowned at her slightly then walked towards the door.

"Sylar, if you're coming, we need to stop by my room first," he told me over his shoulder. William gave me a sweet smile then moved away from me.

"You're welcome back anytime," he told me happily. "Just don't get hurt."

"I won't. I'll be back, I promise. I'm supposed to be staying here anyways as my brother requested." I gave a smile.

"We're practically the same family anyways. You're welcome anytime you know," Kingsley spoke up. "Even if I've got to punish you for misbehavior," he chuckled darkly. I gulped a bit before running after Dmitri. OH MY GOSH DON'T LEAVE ME HERE! I grabbed his arm when I reached him. He looked towards me and smirked.

"So, I take it that they are the ones responsible for your mate's death?" He asked me. "You wouldn't be so eager to be jumping up to go where Silas is if this Lavender didn't do something to you."

"They fit the description," I said quickly. "Plus Silas said he'd help me get my revenge.... so even if it's where he is...." I trailed off. Colsin will be able to rest peacefully knowing that I killed them.

"I can't believe we have a fucking hunter at the top of command," he muttered darkly. "What's this world coming to? Things have really gone downhill in the resistance since Silas left it. I swear they're all like headless chickens running around without a firm leader, and they stuck a freaking hunter in charge!" He shook his head. "Thank whatever kind of luck I have that I have a ton of weapons in my room upstairs stashed out of sight." Maybe the resistance doesn't know they're hunters?
