75 The Dragon Birthday

~Seventeen years later

Toma's POV:

I watched the sun setting and felt excited for the night to come. Dmitri promised me a surprise tonight for turning twenty one. Having a vampire for my treasure means I've been celebrating my birthday twice instead of once since usually when he wakes up it's still my birthday until midnight. I could hear other vampires stirring in their beds. Kingsley decided to throw me a birthday ball to celebrate and everyone was here, including Silas with his mate and children. He had sixteen of them! Sixteen! Rei was surprised during the last birth- or so he told us the night before when he showed up to celebrate my birthday. Silas had given him a set of twins. I really feel spoiled for all the company I have to celebrate something so little as me hatching and Dmitri becoming my treasure. Two nights in a row ball for celebration of my birth is a bit too much but I'm over excited for it. I glanced around as the thought of Ross crossed my mind and started to search for him, heading for the treasure room first. I stopped as I smelled something funny, a fresh scent of vampire that hasn't been washed out by the day. I heard footsteps heading for the door which put me on high alert. What crazy vampire would leave during the day? I settled on the idea it was A'slin the oldest child of Silas and Rei. He's going out without permission probably! I heard Rei telling Kingsley last night that his oldest has a sport for running away. I smelled Rei suddenly as he ran by me. I heard his son take off running then at the sound of being chased.

"Alslin Rosario Suoh!" Rei yelled in a stern voice. "Where do you think you're going? This is a family event!" I smirked as I ran after them, wanting to know more about the trouble maker and Rei. I bet he's in so much trouble for trying to ditch. "If your mother was awake she'd bend you over her knee and let me whip your hinny red!" Having vampires up during the day is so awesome.

"Alslin! Take me with you- Oh hey dad," I heard Nico say, appearing beside his brother. He smiled weakly towards Rei as he saw that they weren't alone. "I didn't know you were away from mom.... ALSLIN! Make a break for it!" He yelled, grabbing Alslin's hand and ran towards the door with him. "I want to watch Twilight in peace without my brothers teasing me!"

"What? I'm not watching twilight with you again!" A'slin complained and yanked away. "I want to watch The Fault in our Stars! Maybe even-" A'slin stopped talking as his eyes grayed from their usual blood red color. They cleared up and he looked around before looking straight at me and then looked panicked as he looked around frantically for something before rushing towards the doors.

"What's wrong with him?" I asked just as Rei rushed after him.

"Alslin!" Rei hissed. "Don't run away from me!" I laughed and went after them. Nico ran after Rei and tackled him into a hug, giving him a kiss before he disappeared and reappeared next to A'slin, snatching his hand and taking off towards the woods with him.

"LOVE YOU DADDY~" Nico called over his shoulder and giggled. A'slin yanked back from Nico and came from a full halt.

"Stop Nico," he hissed as he turned back towards the castle and looked around it. "This is serious this time. Hesper is in trouble." I frowned as I heard a roar of another dragon... definitely not Ross. I heard the doors burst open and Ross came out, looking pissed as he transformed rather quickly and let out a ferocious roar at the idea of another dragon in his territory. He snarled and started up into the air, going in the direction of it quickly. Nico widened his eyes then teleported onto Ross, keeping a tight grip on A'slin so that he teleported with him. I frowned as I watched them. Rei let out a growl then.

"Nico! A'slin! You two better not get into more trouble! GET INSIDE!" I saw Rei start to yank on his hair in frustration. I rubbed his shoulder.

"It'll be okay-"

"THEY'RE ON A DRAGON WHO'S ABOUT TO ATTACK ANOTHER DRAGON AND YOU THINK EVERYTHING IS OKAY?! TOMA!" He held up a fist in aggravation.

"WHOOO HOOO! BEST! DAY! EVER! I'M ON A DRAGON! ONWARDS TO SAVE MY BROTHER!" Nico shouted excitedly, becoming a giggling mess as Ross chose to ignore them and continue to go. He quickly went to the source of the roar a little ways off and I heard a large roar from him again, his anger shaking the ground with his sounds. He'd wake up the castle if he didn't quit being loud. I could hear him starting to fight, the sound of claws scratching against scales reaching my ears as screeches sounded from pain on both sides of the fight. I frowned and looked towards Rei.

"You better stay here, I'll go get the kids...." I transformed into my dragon form and went as quick as I could out to Ross and the trespasser before grabbing his two eldest children up into my mouth. "Your father is angry with you," I hissed at them and looked for the extra child, seeing an eleven year old boy sipping on tea and watching the other two dragons fighting. I grabbed him with my talons and went straight for the doors where Rei would be waiting. No wonder why there is a dragon trespassing! It's the boy with all the attractive jewels on! What was his name? Hesper! I thought Ross and I made it clear to him to stay inside. I dropped the kids by Rei and gave the three a small glare of satisfaction before edging them inside with my head and closed the doors with my tail. I heard Ross roar again but it was cut short with a small screech like he got hit then was followed by the sound of tumbling as the two dragons snarled at each other. Rei's phone started to ring in his pocket after a few seconds. Rei picked the phone up and answered it. I transformed back into my human form and scooped up my clothes, frowning as I realized I had shredded them.... That's not good.

"Alfred! I need clothes!" I yelled as I looked towards the kids. "You three need to stop causing so much trouble for your parents. Especially on my birthday," I growled. "I'll gobble you up and you won't be missed since there is so many of you. They won't even notice."

"They won't?" Hesper sniffled out and looked scared before running off.

"Asshole," A'slin grumbled towards me and pulled Nico off to the night room. I caught Dmitri's scent nearing and he walked up wrapped in a dark cloak, looking tired.

"Hey... I got worried. I thought you were fighting outside," he mumbled and then smiled softly, rubbing his eyes. "It's almost sunset anyways.... I'm glad you're fine."

"Ross is the one fighting," I told him. I smiled as Alfred rushed up and gave me a kimono to wear. I slipped it on and smelled it, catching it was new.

"I thought you'd want something to easily slip in and out of," Rei told me as he walked off to talk with his mate. I looked towards Dmitri and slipped into his arms, hugging him.

"Happy birthday," he purred to me, hugging me back. He ran his fingers through my hair then laughed softly. "Want your gift now or later? I got you a few things, but I think you'll like the surprise... as long as you use it responsibly. You can do that, can't you? Use something wisely?"

"Uh-huh.... I want the gifts now!" I purred to him and pulled back from the hug. "Where are my gifts?"

"In my room waiting," he told me and laughed, starting to pull me towards his bedroom. He led me inside quickly and over to the closet, opening it up then went inside and got out a few boxes wrapped in gold wrapping paper then sat them down on the bed. "Here we go~ You'll open this one last," he told me, pulling a smaller box with a golden lace ribbon off to the side. I smiled and sat down on the bed, looking the boxes over before opening them in excitement. I was careful with the precious wrapping though. I found a few new priceless treasures inside most of them- rare jewels on necklaces and whatnot. I found a crown in the second to last one I was allowed to open and then a medium sized white teddy bear with one of Dmitri's flannels on. He gave me a sweet smile when I opened it. "I thought you'd like it for the scent... when I'm sleeping and you're downstairs instead of up here with me." I looked the teddy bear over before hugging it tightly to me and placed the crown on my head, purring. I looked towards him in amusement.

"I love these~" I told Dmitri. He laughed and leaned in, kissing my forehead.

"I thought you would~" He grabbed the last one he had hidden off to the side then looked a little unsure before he handed it to me. "Be careful with this one. I want to talk to you about it before I let you keep it." I blushed and opened the box carefully as well before looking from it to him. Inside was a bottle of catnip but a little bit larger than ones he used to pull out of his pocket. I hadn't seen any since I was six- he stopped letting me play with it. "I'm not sure when the effects start to change on you, so I got more careful about giving it to you... after Ross played in it with you when you were four and then marked you. I didn't want something else to happen to you... but I think you're old enough now to use it wisely and not get hurt playing with it. I thought you'd like to try having a bottle, but I don't want you using it if you're outside or you're not in a couple of miles of me, okay? I don't want you to get too far away from me while playing in it because it might take me awhile to find you again, so be careful," he warned me. "Sera told me that as dragons get older, the effects change on them when they play in it, shifting from just playing to wanting to play and mate, but I don't know how much influence it will put on you at your age." I blushed and looked at the bottle before looking at him.

"I haven't had any since I was really young and I hardly remember it..." I whispered. He smiled and then gently took the catnip bottle out of the box.

"Well, I think you could play in a little before the ball tonight and be fine. You've got a few hours," he purred to me sweetly and then opened it, putting a little bit in my hand before he closed the bottle and gave it to me. I slipped the bottle into my kimono's pocket. I looked the catnip over as it's smell lured me in already. I leaned into it and smelled it before letting out a moan. The room spun a little, making me feel incredibly dizzy. The scent was so luring though as I continued to sniff it and suddenly caught a wave rush over me. I laid down, feeling the crown fall off my head as I looked up at the ceiling in admiration. I held the catnip up to my nose, taking in the scent. I heard Dmitri laugh softly. "There you go, but don't get too crazy," he warned me. He started for the closet, leaving it open as he started to search for his suit for tonight. I let out a small laugh of joy as I rolled off into the floor and transformed into my dragon form, turning into a small size and nuzzled my head into the catnip.

After a few minutes of rolling around in the catnip, I heard the front door open and shut downstairs, the sound of Ross's footsteps heading for the treasure room in the basement. Dmitri walked out of the closet, adjusting the suit on him then his tie with a purr. I looked towards Dmitri as I caught the sight of his shoe laces and went straight for them, attacking them and untied both shoes. I ran off for the door and transformed human just to open the door and ran out, turning back to my dragon form. I raced for the treasure room to tell Ross about the catnip I got. As soon as I got in, I found Ross laying on the closed lid to my favorite coffin, looking at his wounds as he braided his long pretty black with blue tipped hair over his shoulder, humming under his breath. I ran up to him and tackled him, throwing him into the nest with a large purr. I was a decent size dragon this time, big enough to take him on in his human form. I caught his scent as I laid down on top of him and let out a small moan, starting to lick his face. He laughed and looked at me. "Hey kiddo," he purred, rubbing my head as he forgot about his hair. He reached under my chin and started to rub my favorite spot as he sat us up. I melted at his touch and let out another purr.

"Ross," I purred. "Dmitri gave me..... Catnip~" I said happily. He tensed a bit and then laughed.

"He did?" He purred with amusement then leaned in and smelled me a bit, a small moan escaping his lips. He nuzzled his head against mine but pulled his head away, trying to ignore the scent of catnip on me. "I bet you're pleased," he told me and laughed. I nodded and transformed into my human form and laid us back against the golden nest. He purred to me and rubbed my back gently. "Hmm, you don't seem like you've played in it much. You're not very hyper," he noted and then laughed. "Oh well, that's probably for the best. The ball is tonight, and everyone has to wish you happy birthday...." He ran his fingers through my hair then rested his hand against my back. I nodded.

"He only gave me a pinch," I whispered and looked him in his eyes. "So did you eat that invader?"

"I certainly kicked his ass," he told me and smirked. "He's long gone... but I gave him something to think about the next time he even nears this area. His wings are really torn up- a dragon's pride you know," he told me and then gave me a playful growl. "He's going to be an awful flyer for weeks."

"That's terrible," I mumbled and looked his skin over and caught something I liked about it, making me stare deeply at him. He seemed to notice and watched me curiously then tapped my nose lightly.

"I think I should find something to cover up with," he purred to me, starting to sit up. I frowned and pushed him down.

"Not right now," I told him as I ran my fingers across his neck. "Your skin is mesmerizing." He gasped softly at the feel of my fingers and leaned his head back, showing off his neck to me as a slight blush formed on his face. I could feel a purr building up in him, rumbling through his chest. I leaned in towards his neck and kissed him there before rubbing my head against his skin. He's like a jewel! I let out a purr to him. He moaned softly and rubbed my back before he nuzzled his head against mine and purred to me. He leaned in towards my neck and started to smell me deeply before he moaned again and gently planted a kiss there. I ran my fingers through his hair then and grabbed a lock full before yanking on it slightly. He gave a soft growl and then nipped at my earlobe softly then pulled back to look into my eyes. He studied me for a few moments, rubbing my back gently with his soft fingers. I looked him in the eyes and gave him a sweet smile.

"Are you going to tell me happy birthday?" I asked Ross. "I'm twenty one," I purred. He laughed then.

"I should give you a personal happy birthday instead of doing it when everyone else does, huh?" He teased me then purred. "Happy hatchday," he told me and then kissed my forehead gently. "Twenty one... whatever shall you do? Do you think you're going to go find a mate?" He asked me, sounding a little excited for me. "Of course you'd have to make your own hoard and nest if you do." I looked him over and frowned.

"But you marked me a long time ago..." I trailed off. "Do you not want me like that?" He tensed up then and looked me in the eyes. He watched as he ran his fingers through my hair.

"I thought you might want a dragon closer to your age... and one that could give you kids without having to get help from a wizard... and one that didn't mark you when you were four," he mumbled to me then gently tugged on my hair. "Do you want me like that?"

"Well if you don't want me like that then I'll go hunt down another dragon," I told him and purred. "You'll have to help me by getting to the dragon realm first.." I trailed in hope he'd become jealous. He frowned then started to sit up.

"Well I could take you there if you want, but you didn't answer my question," he told me then started to pull away.

"Of course I'd choose a dragon more wiser~" I purred. "Someone my age is a waste. I don't mind it'd be harder to have hatchlings with you." I looked at him lovingly then. "You'll have me right? As your mate?" He looked towards me and blushed. He thought it over and then tugged lightly on his hair before he let it go. He leaned in and stole a kiss from me, purring against my lips. I blushed and kissed him back before pulling away.

"Best gift I've received," I whispered to him. He laughed then and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Really?" He asked me and gave me a slightly nervous smile. "I've never really kissed another guy before...." I blushed and sat up on him.

"I'm sorry, did I pressure you?" I asked.

"No, not at all," he said quickly and tugged me back down to him. "You didn't pressure me. If I felt pressured, I would've told you no and that I was going to take you to the dragon realm to search for a different mate," he promised me and then gave me a small smile. "You know... I marked you when you were four.... Since how you want to be my mate... I should remark you again and refresh it for you. It'd be more real too because you're old enough to understand it," he purred to me teasingly and then gave a sharp playful growl, starting to lean into my neck as his nails began to sharpen, his soft skin starting to become hard scales as he transformed into a decent dragon size, his dragon teeth scraping against my neck. I laid limp quickly and exposed my neck towards him. A dominate growl erupted through his throat as he bit into my flesh. It took only a second before his venom coursed through me. My neck ached from the harsh lock his jaws had on me.

I could feel my body heating up slightly at the remarking and could smell him a lot better, his scent luring me towards him as he growled in my ear, licking the wound. I rubbed his head and started to smile. I felt pleased as I breathed in his scent. I held back a small moan as I felt a rush of pleasure run through me from being near him. He rubbed his scales against my neck, exciting my senses as a tingling pleasure went through me from his scales. He purred in my ear and started to nuzzle against it with his head, his hot breath hitting it. I blushed and transformed into my dragon form and shrunk to a smaller size than him before getting up under his wing and rubbed my body against his. My mate.

I heard a small moan from him and felt him stretch his body out, loving the attention. I started to lick his side as I heard his moan and gave him a purr of love. He lifted up his wing quickly and I felt him start to lick me, his wing just a little ways up. He purred to me as he made sure to lick under my chin, getting me really good there to please me. I fell down quickly, melting to the ground as he licked my good spot. He purred and started to lick it, concentrating on it before he nuzzled his face into it, scratching it with his scales as he got my scent all over him too. I let out a moan and started to lick his head as he nuzzled me.

He started to trail his head against my stomach, rubbing it gently then nuzzled my face before he licked my lip playfully then nipped at my ear. I felt his talons grabbing ahold of me as he pulled me off his side and in front of him. I growled slightly as I was ripped from under his wing. That's so not cool. I was getting warm and cozy there. He purred at me with amusement and licked my chin again, teasing me then nuzzled his face against mine before he slipped me back under his wing, pulling it shut quickly and laughed a bit as he gave me a teasing growl, shutting me off from the attention he had been giving me. I curled up anyways to him and started to lick his side again. Dragons are the best mates to have.
