131 Camping Trip

Silas' POV:

Lyle: We set up the camping supplies for you, it's ready. We just have to put a tracker in you.

Eek.... I frowned and sat my phone aside before I looked over at Rei and rubbed his cheek. "They're ready for us...."

"Well~" He purred. "Our bags are packed. Should we arrive on time or late with style?"

"Late with style," I told him quickly and smirked. "If they're going to put a tracker on me, I might as well arrive looking like the king of camping."

"You better go get on your shorts, shirt, running shoes, and hat I laid out for you," he purred and shoved me out of the bed. He got out quickly and started for his pair he laid aside for himself, stripping right in front of me to get in the outfit. I watched him and purred, looking my mate over before I walked up to my clothes he had laid out for me and started to change into them, taking my sweet time. I went towards the bathroom then, humming.

"Let me enjoy the nice bathroom before we're forced to live in the woods," I told him and smirked, going in and grabbed my toothbrush, starting to brush my teeth as I looked at myself in the mirror. When I get back... I should trim up my hair. It's getting kinda long.

"You know what will be fun? If we camp either by a lake or a river. So we can go midnight swimming.... butt naked." I heard Rei purr. I spat out the toothpaste then rinsed out my mouth.

"Oh, that will be fun," I purred back and smirked, looking out at him through the open door. "I might actually see you in the water for once, Mr. No Sharing the Bathroom at the Same Time."

"Come on~ It will be fun." I heard him grabbing his bag then. "We get to go camping with Sylar and his new mate William." I brushed my hair out then and hummed softly.

"Well... it might feel more like a huge double date," I told him then laughed. "It will be just us four... with our mates... and I plan on switching up the sleeping arrangements. You'll be with me instead of with William like Lyle said. Sylar will appreciate being able to sleep with his mate as well."

"Are you sure you should disobey your older brother?" Rei asked.

"He's just going to put his stuff in the other room of the tent anyways," I told him and frowned. "It's not like I could stop him and make him sleep with me... and I'd feel safer with you next to me instead of someone who might stab me with a stick."

"Okay, you can sleep with me but when your brother finds out..." He trailed off. "I'm pointing my finger at you."

"Well... I could wait for Sylar to throw a fit and then just give in to him," I told him softly. "That way it won't be me. It'll be him."

"Now you want him to be the one in trouble for it?" He asked and chuckled.

"N-no... I guess not. Lyle might be more inclined to get that shrink, and I'm not telling a shrink why Sylar hates me. I'd much rather tell Lyle himself than tell some stranger about what happened," I grumbled. "I'll take the blame. He'll be mad at me, but he'll get over it quicker because I'm not stabbing Sylar with knives at dinner time."

"Let's go, Silas." He purred. I laughed and walked out of the bathroom then up to him, wrapping him up in my arms then kissed his lips.

"Alright," I told him then gave him a playful smirk as I exposed my fangs and leaned in, biting him quickly to mark him and gave him all the venom I had before I pulled back and grabbed a few of the bags, walking towards the elevator with them. He walked after me then with a small purr as he pulled out his phone and texted someone.

"Mauri is in the night room," he told me.

"Okay~" I got on the elevator and waited for him before I pressed the button for the ground floor to get to the night room. "So... if something happens during the day, you'll wake me up, right?" I asked him, looking over at him. "I don't want to be asleep then wake up to find werewolves attacked and you got bit."

"Nothing will happen," he promised me. "If it does, we'll be out of those tents and far away before the attackers know." I nodded then purred at him.

"Alright... do you think I should keep my tail in my shirt the whole time, or do you think it'll be fine to have it out in the woods?" I flicked my tail then, thinking about how it would feel to keep it cramped up in my shirt for an entire week to hide it from bushes and from wildlife and Sylar's tugs.

"That's up to you," he purred and watched as the numbers lowered to ground floor. The doors opened and he stepped off, going for the night room. I followed after him and laughed.

"I think I'll keep it out then to tease you," I purred at him. "You seem to enjoy my tail sometimes."

"I don't know why you would hide who you are anyways," he told me as we walked into the night room where his fledgling was waiting for us. She smiled and grabbed our arms before teleporting us into the garage where the truck was loaded down with the supplies. I looked the truck over then walked up, dumping our stuff with the supplies then glanced around for the others, flicking my tail.

"Lyle~ Sylar~ William~" I called out, purring as I spotted who must be William dressed in a simple white t-shirt and cute blue cargo shorts. His hair was a pretty blue, and his eyes were two different colors- and his scent was most definitely human.... I looked him over and smirked. I can see why Sylar really gets territorial over him. Sylar was standing right next to him and shot me a glare. Lyle climbed out of the truck then with a roll of tape. He smiled at me.

"Alright~! Everest has your tracker downstairs." Lyle told me. Mauri disappeared, ditching us here.

"What's up with the tape?" I asked him curiously, looking it over.

"Is that your older brother Silas?" I heard William the butler asking Sylar with a small laugh.

"Yeah, you shouldn't trust him," Sylar told William.

"I was taping a tracker in the truck," Lyle said calmly. "So~ Incase you four get ate out there by bugs... we'll have the truck as help to hunt you down." I frowned but nodded. I would see wolves eating us more than bugs....

"Alright... and you! Don't tell him those lies," I told Sylar and smirked, turning to face him. "He can trust me." William smiled a little and looked at Sylar.

"He doesn't seem that bad," he whispered to Sylar. "His horns are funny looking though...."

"Well he might seem okay, but underneath is a monstrous demon... waiting to come out and kill you.... So don't go near him. He's like the devil.... So.... Stay away from him," Sylar whispered.

"Oh, you're just being dramatic," I told him and frowned then looked at William. "William, don't listen to a word he says. He's just trying to keep you away from me because he doesn't like me and I offered to turn you once. Besides, the only thing my fangs are going to sink in during our trip is my own mate." I waved it off. "We're going to be the best of friends William."

"No you won't," Sylar told him. "He's evil, remember that. He's just trying to trick you. You need to stay far away from him and beside me at all times. He's like the monsters in your nightmares." William frowned a little then looked at Sylar.

"Is he really?"

"I'm not," I purred out to him. "Sylar doesn't like me is all that is. Don't worry. If I was a true monster, I would have eaten you by now." I walked up then looked William over and smirked a little, pulling him into a hug. "You're rather cute. Marry my brother," I purred in his ear. "He could use a bright ray of happiness like you in his life." Sylar snatched William from me quickly and pushed him a few feet away from me before throwing a knife at my head.

"The next time you touch William.... I'll kill you!" He hissed at me. "Stay away from him. He's too good to be your friend." I caught the knife then frowned.

"Lyle, I thought you said the only one who could have weapons was Rei," I said quickly. "I don't want to go on this trip to get stabbed all the time by my brother." I dropped the knife and looked back at Lyle. "I hope you went through his bags...." I looked Sylar over then. "And you, don't make Lyle call a shrink. That would be bad for both of us. I'm sure you don't want a shrink to start following us around." I narrowed my eyes then. "Stop throwing knives, you big child." William bit his bottom lip and looked at us nervously before he looked at Rei and started walking over to him.

"You must be Rei," he whispered, holding out his hand to Rei. "I was told you'd be staying up with me."

"Yeah~ It's nice meeting you William." Rei gave a huge smile and went to shake William's hand but Sylar was quick to dash over to them and separate William from Rei.

"Don't touch him either," Sylar warned.

"I did check him. I have no clue how he got that knife...." Lyle trailed off. "Looks like I'll be going through his things again as well as what's on him. Sylar, you know I said no weapons. You can't even die from a werewolf bite anyways. Rei is the only one allowed to have a weapon."

"I'm not that bad," Rei purred to William. "I think we'll get along swell while the boys sleep." William gave a huge smile then.

"Okay," he said sweetly then looked at Sylar before he blushed and gave him a hug. I laughed and watched the two of them before I started to head off to go find Everest but was stopped by a hand on my shoulder.

"There you are~" Everest purred behind me and I felt him stick me with a needle in my arm. I groaned and looked towards it, watching as he injected the tracker into me. He pulled back and discarded the needle and smirked at me. "Don't kill each other," he teased.

"Everest, somehow Sylar got a knife on him so we'll have to search his bags and his clothes on him. You want to pitch in and search his bags for me?" Lyle asked.

"Sure, I can do that before we send them off," he hummed out and started for the truck, starting to go through all the bags. "Let's see, anything shaaaarp.... Nope, that's a tent pole..... Wait! Found- Never mind, it was just a bottle of cologne...." Everest started to laugh then. I shook my head then looked William and Sylar over before I walked up to the truck and got in the passenger seat, leaving the door open. I saw William looking towards me in curiosity before he started to sneak over, looking nervous about it. Lyle started to check Sylar's pockets, pulling out five more throwing knives and tossed them.

"William, don't go near him," Sylar warned. "Get back here." William bit his bottom lip and paused, looking back at Sylar with a small frown.

"I just wanted to ask if he knew where exactly we were going in the woods," he said innocently.

"Does it matter? We have to put up with him for three days, so distance yourself as much as you can now because when this is over, you'll be sick of him."

"But what if I'm not?" William said sweetly, giving Sylar a huge smile. "He might be nice." I laughed then. He's sticking up for me, huh? I'll have to remember that.

"No he's not, William," Sylar hissed out as Lyle finished checking his pockets. He rushed over and grabbed William. "I told you he's not, so believe me." William blushed then and looked up into Sylar's eyes.

"O-okay, Mr. Rosario," he whispered to him. "If you insist on it...." He's rather cute.... He wrapped his arms around Sylar's neck then leaned in and kissed Sylar's cheek. "Is this better?"

"We're going to listen to some music on the way," Sylar whispered to William.

"Only if it's the radio," Lyle told him. "Now get in the truck and get going." He eyed us over. Rei got in the truck then, sitting in the drivers seat.

"Why do I have to drive?" He asked me. I looked at him then smirked.

"Well, let's trade then if you don't want to drive," I purred, reaching for the keys from him and took them. "I don't mind driving. It gives me plenty of opportunity to pick out a place with a lake."

"River," Rei purred out and got out of the truck moving for my side. Sylar pushed William into the seat behind the passenger's side and pushed him to the other side before slipping in with him then pulled him back into his lap. William blushed a deep shade of red and looked at Sylar before he gave him a small smile and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. I laughed at them then got into the driver's seat, starting up the car as I shut the door. Rei got in and rolled down the window.

"Bye Lyle, Everest," Rei purred out the window. "We'll be back in three days." Everest waved at us then.

"See ya later~ Enjoy foraging and whatnot if you have to. Hope a raccoon doesn't eat your food." He smirked and then looked at Lyle, snatching his hand. "Let's go play chess," he purred at him, starting to take him away. I sighed and looked at Rei before I backed out of the parking space and started to drive out of the garage.

"Sooooo... I hope that you all are ready," I hummed out, starting to pull up directions to a somewhat further away forest with a river then handed it to Rei. "Do the directions for me, please?" I asked him sweetly.

"Can we listen to Train?" William asked innocently in the backseat.

"No," Sylar told him and pulled out his phone and headphones then stuck them on William. "You can listen to Fall out Boy." He teased and put on some music for him. Rei placed the GPS on the truck's dash, turning up the volume for me. I could hear William laugh a little in the backseat before he began to hum, picking up on the melodies of the songs. I purred then looked out at the road, leading to possibly our doom... or our salvation.

I sat the supplies down for the tent in a clearing near the rushing gurgles of the nearby river and pulled out the parts. "Let's see.... I'll set this up Sylar. How about you go and scout out where exactly the river is that way we know where we should run if werewolves show up. We don't want them to be able to track down our scent, so the river will be a great defense system. William, if you could start a fire pit, that'd be great. Find some rocks and start a ring and clear out the grass and leaves in the center of the ring. Rei, if you could find sticks to fuel the fire that way we will be able to see in the dark... and you know, be able to have warm blood and give William something warm for him to eat. I doubt he wants cold spaghettio's."

"William is sticking by my side," Sylar said and grabbed him, dragging him off. "Come on, we'll scout out for places we can hide for the next three nights from the bats." He hissed over his shoulder.

"I'll go get some wood," Rei purred out and walked off- leaving me alone. I sighed. That was productive. I swear.... I tsked and started to focus on setting up the tent, managing to get it put up and the rooms properly separated. It had three rooms like I had asked, two on each side and one in the middle. The two on the side were separated out from the middle by a zipper flap that would filter out the sun incase William or Rei wanted to get outside in the daytime. Sylar and I would be safe while we slept. No sunlight would be getting in the tent... and just incase, I put up extra layers to protect us and got battery operated fans to put in the bedrooms for if it got hot. I put the bedding in both sides of the tent and put Sylar and William on the right and Rei and me on the left- the casket in on my side as well that way if something happened, Sylar wouldn't be able to kick me out, and I'd just yank him in. It'd be better for me to have it in there anyways. I sighed and put the food and water with the coolers in the center then stepped out, zipping up the tent completely then glanced around for the others before I started to collect rocks and created a fire ring, clearing it out so a forest fire wouldn't catch. Rei came back to me with a few logs in his arms. He sat them down in the pit before he walked a few feet away, collecting smaller branches then took them over to the logs and sat them down on top. He walked off then, collecting a few piles of leaves and threw them onto the logs. He pulled out a lighter and lit a few leaves, starting up a fire. I purred as I watched the fire starting to grow then looked over at Rei.

"Thanks sweetie," I purred to him then walked up, giving him a hug. "I hope Sylar didn't run off. I have the keys to the truck though." I pulled the keys out then slipped them into Rei's pockets. "If you're going to have the weapon, you might as well have the keys too so Sylar doesn't try to take them." I smirked then gave his neck a kiss then headed towards the tent. I heard him put the keys up then before he sat down by the fire.

"I bet Lyle packed us smores," Rei told me. "Why don't you bring out the coolers so we can go through them and find something to cook for William."

"Yeah, I was thinking about that. He must be hungry by now. Don't humans get hungry more often than us?" I asked him and went into the tent, pulling out the human cooler and brought it out to Rei. I opened it and peered inside, looking the cans of food over and then grabbed the hand operated can opener. "Let's see... there's some pineapple in there, but that's not enough for a dinner. He'll need something else.... There's ravioli... or ramen in here. We could heat up some water for him and make that cup ramen." Rei looked into the cooler and smirked, pulling out a can of baked beans and opened it up before he headed into the tent and came out with a rack. He sat it over the fire and sat the can down on it, yanking off the rest of the lid and sat it down. He leaned over the cooler and pulled out some cheese, cutting a few slices from the block and put it in with the beans. He looked around the coolers before pulling out some hot dogs and opened the pack up, sitting two on the rack to let them cook.

"Get out two buns to put them on," he told me as he sat down. "Some mayo and ketchup as well... then get a plastic cup and a water bottle out. "WILLIAM! SYLAR! I'M COOKING YOU DINNER, WILLIAM!" He called out in the direction they left us. I laughed and did as he told me, setting it up for William before I went back into the tent and got out three bottles of blood and sat them by the fire pit to heat up after William's food.

"Dinner?" I heard William asking a little ways away before footsteps started to crunch our way. "That sounds so good right now~!" I could hear them coming back then. Rei looked at me lovingly before he took the bottles and sat them on the rack. I laughed and sat down beside him then kissed his cheek.

"You're such a good caretaker," I whispered to him and purred, leaning my head against his shoulder. William came stumbling through the woods into the clearing and looked towards us then at the food in awe.

"Thank you so much! I thought I was going to have to make it myself," he said and laughed, giving us a sweet look. "It looks really good- a bit different than what I'm used to, but good. He walked up and sat down then, looking the bean can over curiously.

"When the beans start to boil, they'll be done and the hot dogs will be done when they get a black coating on them.... Sylar, put his buns on to warm them up." Rei told him. "You're welcome by the way." Sylar sat down next to William and pulled him into his lap. William giggled a little and then gave Sylar's cheek a small, shy kiss before he looked back at the fire, watching it. I sat the hot dog buns on the rack and purred, watching my brother and his mate. He certainly doesn't let William get out of his sight for long. It must be because of Colsin... in the back of his head at least... and plus I'm here. Rei reached over and flipped the hot dogs calmly.

"Have you gone camping before?" William asked Rei curiously, watching him. "I bet you're pretty old for a vampire.... You look like you know a lot- from the look in your eyes." I laughed and looked at Rei.

"He called you old," I teased.

"I am old," Rei purred. "I've gone camping lots of times throughout my existence. You don't have to go camping though to know the basics of culinary arts. I'm a wonderful chief. This is just from my knowledge of cooking. You're acting like it's a big deal to camp... but it's not. Just don't do stupid things like hang your food from a tree for a bear to come along and take. These coolers will keep the smell of food down but this fire will attract wildlife because of the cooking food." He told William. William nodded quickly, looking at Rei in amazement.

"I've never been camping before," he whispered to him. "This is pretty cool though!" He laughed and looked back at the fire. "Maybe I can do this again later if Sera says it's alright...."

"Not with them," Sylar whispered into his ear.

"Why not? Mr. Rei is pretty awesome, and I don't know much about camping," William mumbled back to him then turned in Sylar's lap to look at him.

"Rei isn't awesome," Sylar growled out under his breath. "William, don't like them." William shrunk back from Sylar then, looking a bit worried as his mate growled.

"W-well, I... don't know," he mumbled to Sylar then looked away from him quickly.

"You do know. You don't like them, got it?" Sylar huffed and wrapped his arms around him tightly. "That's an order."

"An order?" William asked quickly, his eyes widening slightly.

"Yes. You heard me," Sylar hissed in his ear. "You're supposed to side with me."

"Mr. Rosario," he mumbled and bit his bottom lip, a frightened look crossing his face. "Does it have to be an order?"

"Yes," Sylar growled. "It's an order." William hesitated before he went to get up.

"I think I'll go ahead and drink the water," he told Sylar quickly, starting for the bottle of water we had set out for him.

"Hey," Sylar snatched him back down into his lap. "Don't leave my side." William yelped and started to tremble then, looking freaked out.

"Sylar, I think you're starting to scare him," I whispered quietly, watching the two of them with a frown. Sylar kissed William on the top of his head and smirked.

"You're not scared of me, are you?" Sylar asked.

"A-a little," he admitted, looking up at Sylar. "You normally don't order me like that... or try to keep me in one place...."

"Because I don't want you going near them," he whispered to William.

"Yeah, but I don't see why they are so bad," he whispered back and then hid his face into Sylar's chest. "I'll stay away from them though if it bothers you that much... but I will end up hanging out with Mr. Rei anyways because he's the only one that will be awake with me."

"William," Sylar grumbled and leaned in towards his ear, kissing below it. "You're not going to hang out with either of them, got it?"

"But what about during the day?" William asked and blushed, holding onto Sylar a little more as he got kissed below his ear. "I don't want to be alone...."

"Not even during the day. They're both monsters and you better not make friends with them... because you might end up part of the undead."

"Part of the undead?" He asked and frowned, looking at Sylar. "Like... dead or like you?"

"Either or," Sylar whispered. "You want to be a zombie?" He teased.

"No! I don't want to be a zombie," he said quickly and wrinkled up his nose. "I don't like the idea of brains being in my mouth... and they rot.... I don't want to be dead either," he told Sylar. "I have too much I want to do to die this early in my life. I have to become a head butler for Alfred and Sera!"

"Sylar, quit telling him lies," Rei hissed out in annoyance. "You're acting like you're five. At least when you was five, you liked your brother. William, your food is done." William looked towards Rei then and gave a small smile before he managed to get free from Sylar and walked over.

"Thanks Rei. I don't think you'd kill me anyways. You would've by now if you were thinking about it," he told Rei sweetly, giving him a trusting look. Aw, look at that, he's too good for Sylar. I smiled a little and got his food off the rack then got our bottles of blood down as I slipped his food onto a paper plate and handed it over with a plastic fork.

"There you go, little cutie," I purred at him. "Take this bottle of blood over to Sylar too." I handed him one then gave him his glass of water to drink with his food.

"William," Sylar hissed out. "What did I just tell you?" He asked and got up, going for him. "I don't want you near them." William yelped quickly and ran off with his food.

"I was hungry!" He said quickly, heading for the tent for shelter. Sylar glared me down then.

"See what you done?" He asked and went after William. "Don't run from me! I'm your boyfriend."

"Don't tell me I can't have food then!" William called out, zipping up the tent from the inside.

"I could have gotten it," Sylar hissed out in annoyance. "I knew this trip was going to be bad. I'm going home, come out of there William. We're leaving." I frowned.

"Sylar, you can't go home. We don't want a shrink pestering us about what happened," I hissed at him quickly. "I doubt you want to tell anyone about it."

"We're leaving?" William whined from inside the tent. "It's awesome out here though.... I like the river... and this food is great....."

"We're going William," Sylar hissed. Rei looked towards me and smirked.

"You're not going anywhere," I growled at him quickly. "Sit back down. Your boyfriend can have food from us. It's not like we poisoned it. Stop being so childish! He dies a lot easier, and that means he dies a lot quicker without food. I don't think you'd want to starve your boyfriend! Besides, if you don't sit back down and behave, I'll tell William everything," I hissed, shooting back at him what he had once done to me. He glared me down over his shoulder.

"Shut up Silas," he hissed. "I'm not in the mood to deal with you." I got up then and glared at him before I walked over and snatched his arm, yanking him over to the fire and made him sit.

"Stop. Being. A. Brat," I snarled at him then smacked him lightly in the back of the head. "You're the one who startled him into the tent. If you weren't so rough with him, he would be out here still in your lap while calmly munching on beans! Think about someone else for a change and stop thinking about things in the past. I'll punish you if you don't make this trip worth our while... and trust me, it'll be a punishment. I'll spank you in front of everyone." Sylar glared me down and got back up, shoving me backwards.

"You're not in charge of me, Silas. I can do what I want and I'll keep my mate far away from you as much as possible." He brushed past me and went back to the tent. "William," he grumbled. "Don't hide away in the tent." I heard some shuffling around in the tent before the sound of a container opened.

"Oooooh, I found Oreos!" I heard William say in excitement. "I didn't realize we brought Oreos! Sylar, do you want one?" He unzipped the tent and poked his head out, looking up at Sylar with a huge smile as he ate one of the cookies. Sylar grabbed his hand quickly and started to pull him off into the woods. William yelped then quickly pulled away from Sylar. "Nuh uh, I'm not going into the woods in the dark," he told Sylar and frowned. "There could be something out there.... I'd rather stay here.... Come on, let's sit back down at the fire," he whispered and then reached out and gently took Sylar's hand again. "Please? I'll sit in your lap and stay away from them," he promised softly, looking at his boyfriend.

"I don't want to stay here though," Sylar grumbled. "It's not healthy for you."

"I don't want to be out there weaponless," he told Sylar and blushed. "Please? I won't go near them again," he promised and gave Sylar's hand a squeeze. "I promise. I'll stay right next to you the entire time...."

"You have me, I can take care of you out there." Sylar rubbed his head.

"There's food here though... and I don't want to get hungry out there...." William whispered and blushed. "I know you could probably protect me though...." I purred softly as I watched the two of them then tensed as I noticed golden gleaming eyes right behind Sylar. Fuck.

"Sylar," I hissed quickly, getting to my feet as fast as lightening. "Wolf!" William screamed as he saw the eyes and yanked Sylar out of the way just as the jet black wolf lunged where Sylar had been standing. Sylar stumbled and fell down onto William. Rei yanked a gun out of his pocket then and pointed it towards the wolf.

"Listen up," Rei told the wolf. "We're only camping now be a good boy- or girl and leave us be." He got to his feet then. The wolf snarled, looking at Rei as it recovered from it's miss and looked at the barrel of the gun then at Rei, laying it's ears back in anger. I tensed and watched it closely then glanced around the woods for anymore of them. It suddenly let out a loud howl like it was calling for help.

"I-is that a werewolf?" William asked Sylar quickly, looking at the wolf with wide eyes.

"Yeah," Sylar said and looked the wolf over. "Listen, we don't want any trouble," he told the wolf and got to his feet.

Sylar's POV:

The wolf snarled my way, picking up one of it's paws then stamped it on the ground threateningly. "Get out of here! This is our territory! We'll rip you to shreds vampire," she growled at me and bristled at the tips of it's fur. "Thinking you can come in here... and camp in our territory.... My pack will have your fangs for this!"

"I don't even have fangs," I laughed out and showed her. "William, go get in the truck and lock the doors." Rei slung the keys towards William then.

"Do as he says," Rei said quickly. William looked at the keys with wide eyes before he took off running for the truck. The wolf snarled and started to go after him, but Silas got in the way, exposing his fangs.

"No you don't," he hissed in anger. "Get out of here before my mate shoots you," he snarled. The wolf growled back and went to attack Silas then, baring its teeth viciously. I could hear howls starting up nearby, responding to the black wolf in front of us. I frowned and kicked the wolf while it was in mid leap and watched it fly across the camp ground, almost landing in the fire.

"Don't go attacking my terf. He's mine to kill so back off," I hissed at the wolf. It yelped as it hit the ground then she got back up quickly, glaring at me as her golden eyes seemed to pierce down to my core. She paused then started to laugh at me.

"You were once a werewolf's little mate, weren't you?" She asked me in amusement. "Good riddance! He died painfully, didn't he? I can smell his faded blood on you. He was rather young." I frowned.

"Why're you dissing your own kind? You make me sick." I crossed my arms. "We're only staying here for three days. I don't like it and you don't like it but I have to and you'll deal with it as well. So send out a call to your pack and alert them we're just visitors. It's not like we're an invading pack." She growled at us then.

"Any wolf that isn't in our pack means that it's a potential threat to our territory one day," she snarled at me. "I can smell a pack all over you and that silver haired vampire over there. We don't want you here!" She snapped her jaws my way then. "I'll kill you!"

"We have a werewolf pack living near our castle. That's why we smell the way we do. We're their friends. None of them are with us now. It's just three vampire demons and a human." She looked me over consideringly, her muscles relaxing a little. Silas moved behind me, heading towards Rei, but the movement caught her attention quickly and she snarled, becoming a fur ball of rage again and attacked him, going to bite into him. He screamed and threw his arms up, putting his hands up against her muzzle to keep her from biting into him in a panic. I frowned and walked up, yanking her off him.

"Leave my kill alone," I hissed. "He's only going to die when I'm ready." She went to bite my hand then, whipping around in my grip as her claws ripped into the front of my shirt and she knocked me over. I felt Silas yank her off then before he snapped her neck and watched as she fell to the ground. He looked her over and winced in regret but didn't say anything, walking over to Rei. I could hear the howls getting closer, her pack approaching. I sat up quickly with wide eyes.

"SILAS!" I hissed. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" I got to my feet and looked her over. Oh. My. Fuck. "Her pack is coming this way!"

"She was trying to kill us," he told me and looked towards the woods worriedly. "Whatever you were telling her wasn't working. She was going to have her pack attack us anyways."

"She was calming down until you had to go and move- and now you killed her. We can't fight off a whole fucking pack, Silas with just one damn gun. Get in the fucking truck," I hissed and started for the truck. Silas frowned and watched me before he grabbed Rei and started to quickly pull him after me.

"How are you so sure she wouldn't have had us killed anyways?" He hissed at me. "They hate it when people get in their territory! It's a well known fact! She could've easily have calmed down to get us to lower the gun then turned around and slaughtered us all with her pack! We still would've had to talk to the alpha."

"Yeah! But we're not werewolves- they're more pissed over werewolves stupid." I looked towards William. "Unlock the doors," I told him. "Thanks for the fun camping trip, Silas." William unlocked the doors quickly for me and scooted over, watching us with worried looks.

"You were wanting to leave anyways," Silas muttered, getting Rei into the passenger seat quickly then climbed into the driver's seat. "Just get in.... You got what you wanted, and you won't even get in trouble." I frowned and got in with William.

"Yeah, but now a wolf is dead," I mumbled and pulled William into my lap. Silas sighed and started to drive off quickly.

"Look... I didn't want her to hurt you," he told me softly. "I didn't think before I did it."

"A wolf is dead?" William asked me quickly, looking at me worriedly as he wrapped his arms around my neck.

"Yeah, Silas killed the wolf." I rubbed his head. "We have to leave thanks to him." William's eyes widened and he started to look front but Silas quickly slammed on the brakes.

"SHIT!" He yelled as the truck almost lost traction. He slammed his head up against the steering wheel as the truck came to a stop, and William was almost yanked from my arms by the force. I quickly buckled him into the seat next to me.

"What?" I hissed at Silas. "Don't stop!"

"There's a cub in the road," he said quickly. I heard him gently hitting the gas then. "Maybe I can get around it without it darting under my tires on accident...." I groaned and got out of the truck then, going to the front of the truck to scare it off.

"Hey, move it!" I yelled. The little wolf looked up at me with a scared look and looked up at the truck as it lowered its ears then darted towards me, the gray fur gleaming in the moonlight as it let out a small whine. I could hear the other wolves howling in anger where our camp was, discovering the body. I nudged it to the side quickly with my foot and started back for the truck. It yelped and ran after me quickly, tucking its tail between its legs. I stopped and looked down at it.

"What're you doing? Stop moving after me," I told it. "Stay and wait for your pack." I opened the truck door. Little idiot. It whimpered at me quickly like a small child that was lost.

"What's going on?" Silas asked me as I opened the door, looking back towards me.

"Nothing," I said innocently and looked down at it. "Go back home," I told it. It looked at me in confusion and laid it's ears back at me, lowering it's head. I could hear the pack's howls nearing us then, making the little wolf pick one of its ears up and look in the direction of the howls. "See, there you go. Now you go follow those howls and you'll find your pack." I waved it off. It laid its ears back down and shrunk into the shadows under the truck quickly, a small whimper escaping it. I frowned and got to my knees, looking under the truck. "Get out from under there before I decide to let Silas run you over." It looked back at me innocently from under the truck and watched me, crouching low to the ground. I felt hot breath against the back of my neck then as a low growl picked up behind me, and the little wolf perked its ears back up, looking behind me as it started to wag its tail. Oh man.... please tell me that's not his mother.

"Silas," I said quickly.

"Stay still," he whispered. "It doesn't look too angry yet.... I've got it." I heard him moving slowly in the truck, starting to get out. The wolf behind me snarled loudly and placed a paw on my back, forcing me down against the pavement. The little wolf ran out from under the truck quickly and smacked its tail into my face as it wagged happily, barking at the bigger wolf.

"Silas, get back in the truck. I'm going to be okay if it bites me, but you won't," I growled. "William, close my door so it doesn't get in there."

"B-but," William started, hesitating. "Okay," he whispered and shut the door. I heard Silas obey me as he got back in the truck, and I could feel William watching me with worry. The bigger wolf watched me for a few seconds before it growled then licked the top of the little wolf's head then picked it up by the scruff of its neck and removed its paw from my back. I got up quickly and jumped into the bed of the truck. I heard it snarl at me before it took off running into the woods with the cub to protect it. I saw the rest of the pack at the edge of the darkness, racing towards us, but Silas floored it with me in the back, the truck revving and speeding up quickly. I quickly got to the side of the truck and got in through my door, closing it quickly.

"If you stop for another cub," I warned.

"It was only a baby," he told me and frowned. "It probably didn't know to stay out of the road and was looking for its mother. You know how little kids are with roads...."

"Like you care, you probably killed a mother back there," I hissed at him.

"I do care," he grumbled. "I was protecting you...." William quickly unbuckled and was in my lap in seconds, hugging me tightly. I wrapped my arms around him and purred, kissing the top of his head. I heard Silas's phone going off then. Silas pulled out his phone then and groaned. "They've been watching our trackers...." He clicked accept on the call and put it up against his ear as he looked at the road. "Lyle, we had an encounter with wolves. We're coming home."

"Silas," Lyle whined into the phone. "You were supposed to have a good three day camping trip. I guess I'll have to find something new for you two to do together."

"Yeah, maybe without mates this time. Sylar was very touchy about where William was at all times during this trip," he mumbled. "It might be better next time.... We'll see." William yawned softly in my arms then leaned his head against my chest before he started to close his eyes, his grip on me loosening.

"Grrrrr..... yeah you two are going to take a trip somewhere- alright. EVEREST! The trip failed!" He hung up on Silas then. Silas placed his phone down on his lap, starting to focus on driving. After a half hour of outrunning the wolves, I heard them falling back, giving up for now and he managed to make it out onto the paved road, getting us out of the woods as he sped down the road quickly. He cut the radio on to Panic! At the Disco and started to relax, easing up on the gas. I leaned back a little, getting comfortable and closed my eyes. Well.... at least I get to spend the day at home instead of with Silas and Rei...
