"I just double checked the soldiers we sent to the barbaric city were killed as well in the slaughter" the lion that Azreal and Xavious had seen by the lake stood behind the lion who led the city and reported.

"I see, any idea who did it?"

"I do but it's a bit strange" the lion chuckled a little as he looking down at the commotion that Fabian was causing.

"How so?" The lion asked following his son line of sight.

"Well I doubled check all the wounds from everyone in the city and they were all caused by the same weapon, those scythes would probably be an almost perfect match...."

"Hahaha, you're sure?" He showed no anger at the thought that Azreal might've been the one to kill hundreds of his soldiers.

"As sure as I can be without the physical weapons to try and match it to the wounds"

"I see, is there anything else?"

The young lion didn't immediately answer instead he watched on as Azreal forced all the guards to fall to their knees when Fabian was also forced to kneel he wanted to step forward but was stopped by his father who observed everything in silence.

"Why aren't you allowing any of the guardians to intervene...."

A response didn't come immediately, his father took a deep breath first.

"Those were soldiers Fabian himself raised, and this was his personal vendetta, should I summon them every time he doesn't like someone?"

After hearing the response the lion turned to leave the room.

"Your younger brother is immensely talented, it's evident by the fact that he's never left home but already only a step away from being a beast king but he's grown complacent whether this humiliation breaks him or builds him won't affect the city in any negative way"

Listening to what his father said the young lion released the door from his hands and looked back at him.

"And what about him killing our soldiers are you just going to let him walk out of the city"

"I do" he spoke slowly putting emphasis on each word "if I stop him now then your brother will get it in his mind that it was done for him, and him complacency will remain, instead once's he's gotten far enough from the city I'll send one of the guardians to deal with it so Fabian will hopefully set him as a target to strive towards"

All the young lion could do was nod as he opened the door since no matter what he said if his father didn't agree with it his words would only be wasted.

"Shiloh...it's good that your back, maybe stay a little this time and get to know your siblings they only hear your name but never see your face, every time you come you sneak in and leave the same way"

Shiloh —obviously the young lion—thought for a moment before nodding and stepped through the door but his father wasn't finished so all he could do was stand in the doorway.

"And it's almost time for you to withdraw from the secret soldiers don't you think? My time as leader is almost up and following tradition, I'll leave to continue on my journey of advancement, I feel like I've already been a beast king for too long and I'd rather not leave the city to Fabian..."

"Yes father"

Sindar—father lion—could hear the disappointment in Shiloh voice so he chuckled a little.

"Ten year's, the minimum we are allowed to reign for, push your sister forward in that time if you don't want to be bound, if she can amass enough personal strength and with you standing behind her for support no one would deny her the head seat....then you can live your worry-free life"

Once his father finished speaking Shiloh didn't move just in case he had something else to say.

Looking out Sindar watched Azreal as left but before he did he turned about and stared in the direction of where his room was.

Following Azreal's vision, Sindar saw a figure in the dark of Azreal's room, he couldn't make out the features he could only see the outline of a person but just as Azreal looked back the figure faded into the darkness.

With his brows furrowed Sindar started into the room.

"Go over to the room where he stayed and see if you can find any clues as to who was in the room with his"

Hearing that Shiloh finally closed the door and walked over to wear Azreal stayed since Sindar didn't make it sound like it was a time sensitive issue Shiloh took his time.

In the back of his mind he had a faint idea that it might be Nala but he didn't have any proof only a hunch and besides that wasn't a reason to be angry since they had been traveling together it's natural that some feelings might develop so she might've just gone there to warn him and that was fine so long as that's all that happened.
