45 Chapter 53 Who in hell is that man?

(RHIO)

I frowned sourly at the thought of having been confined in this mansion for a week and up. Sya frequently came in to pull the curtains open. I've been sick looking at the sky and at the flocks gliding into view. I'm sick of the masseurs coming in and out, the green diet, the physicians checking on me…everything.

I'm already overdosing on Tylenol and other anti-inflammatory drugs…

Niel even hired a music therapist to help with my cognitive well-being.

Fuck.

Elthon came in.

Among the old people I knew, he's the noisiest. I didn't really want him here for now.

He looked at me and shook his head as he sunk on the settee, "Niel told me the swelling is not subsiding."

I ignored him.

"Are you ditching your medicines? If it got worse, you might need a surgery. And it'll took longer than two weeks to heal thereafter," he teased. "But behind all that's happening, it's good that you've gotten some time to rest."

I sneered at him.

"I'd just like to inform that the Singaporean clientele conference pushed through. I'd be attending it this week on your behalf," Elthon closed his eyes as leaned his head at the padded cushion.

"Then go. I can't do anything about it. Not at this state," I recoiled.

"Get well soonest," he mumbled before he drifted to a nap, "I'd want to have some rest too."

"Who wants to rot in this place? Of course I will."

Elthon dozed off immediately. He was heaving peacefully but his little snoring was irritating. I threw some pillow to wake him up.

I took my phone when he left and called Deo.

"Sir?"

"Updates," I snorted.

"Oh, right," Deo replied in his usual upbeat tone. "We handled everything that Miss Jasmin was worrying about. In fact, she has moved in to the house that you bought."

"Good. I expect you were acting carefully not to raise any suspicion on her part," I reminded.

"We are."

"Where is she right now?" I sounded like a worried father.

Deo paused for a minute. My patience was running out until he finally talked, "The men I assigned to follow her said she went to a resort."

"Alone?"

"With a man," Deo coughed. "Unidentified though."

I was about to speak when my phone died.

Low battery.

I threw it out in deep annoyance.

Who in hell is that man?
