Peaceful

Entangling themselves with each other became actually rare since the twins arrival. 

In the midst of exchanging a fiery greetings, a small almost unrecognizable sound was heard by Han Meixiu. 

"Hold on.: She simply said and turned around to check the twins. 

Before Liu Zijian could react, his wife was already holding Little Rong coming out from the adjacent door.

"I think she's having a hard time sleeping. Her brother was already asleep." Han Meixiu said and gently swayed to rock the baby to sleep.

"You will let them sleep with us?" 

Han Meixiu simply nodded.

"I think it's better to start training them to sleep on their own crib." Liu Zijian gently said. "I've read it's about time." He continued.

"Really?" Han Meixiu looked at the man to check if it wasn't just one of his excuses.

Seeing that his reaction didn't change, she nodded. "Then let the door open so it's easy to hear their movement."

"But…" Liu Zijian couldn't continue after seeing the resolute expression of his wife.He slightly looked at the clock nearby and took out his phone to call his mother.

It would really a blessing if she'd move in. The official room of the twins was at least a room far for them. The nursery that was beside their room with an adjacent door was constructed temporarily. 

If his mother would come, then they don't need this temporary room. 

When Madam Liu received the call, she was grinning ear to ear. She looked at her already arranged luggages. 

Actually, it has been a week since she started to pack her things. She was just thinking about what kind of excuse she would use to finally moved in. 

It seemed that she didn't need to come up with any excuse. The heavens must have pity an old lady like her.

Early the next day, Han Meixiu woke up even before the sun appears on the horizon. 

It was actually a record breaking incident as she also woke up ahead of Liu Zijian. 

It was probably because she's truly excited about her new responsibility.

It wasn't just receiving orders and performing the duties assigned. She's would manage a team and delegate necessary tasks. She would also not just filter things that the team needed to do but she would also classify which would need immediate assistance and think of different solutions on how to expedite the process. 

There would still be quite a lot of underlying responsibilities. The more she thought about it, the more excited she gets. 

Han Meixiu was already playing with the twins when Liu Zijian opened his eyes slightly.

Where were the angels?

One was on his chest and the other one was around his stomach.

Both were squirming and their hands were seemingly pressing him to lift their little bodies.

He could also heard his wife's voice. 

"Wake up your daddy! Tell him not to be lazy...Come on, move more..."

Liu Zijian lips curled up. Now, he's being lazy because she woke up earlier than him.

After moving his arms to carefully place those two squirming little white balls, he whispered to Han Meixiu in a tempting voice that was a little hoarse and sounded seductive. 

"I'll collect the debt later." He said after giving her quick smack and picked up one of the twins before walking towards the next room. 

The dumbfounded woman hanged for a few seconds before imitating her husband's action and followed him to the next room.

After the couple settled the twins, they were about to eat breakfast when Madam Liu came.

Madam Liu was smiling all the way to the dining area while her luggage were carried over to her room.

"Good morning Mommy Yi." Han Meixiu greeted the older woman happily and guided her to sit on her seat.

She assumed that her mother in law didn't eat breakfast yet as it was still a bit early. 

After the three finished their meal, they just talked a bit before Liu Zijian and Han Meixiu walked towards the parked car. 

It was already expected that Han Meixiu would be busy coping up with the given tasks. It was a good thing that Zen was an organized person. 

All the members were given a week's work load and the things that Han Meixiu would and should do were written clearly in order. 

The woman couldn't help but admire the man's endorsement of his work.

The moment she started she forgot the time. It wasn't until Ye Ming called her up that she noticed it was already a little bit past noon. 

The secretary secretly shook his head. It seemed that both husband and wife, once engrossed in their work would forget that they also need to take a break and eat. 

Before Han Meixiu stood up from her table, she gathered few documents. She was planning to scan them while having tea after lunch. 

The moment she came inside Liu Zijian's office, she was greeted with a lavish meal. 

Liu Zijian was still in the middle of opening some containers when she sat down.

"Wow, these are all homemade?" Han Meixiu asked.

"En. Mom sent them." Liu Zijian answered before giving her the set of utensils. 

Han Meixiu was delighted. Home cooked food was still better from those you could but outside. It wasn't about the quality. It was about the feeling it carried that somewhat affect the taste and feeling of someone receiving it. 

After lunch, the two continued to work seriously. 

When it was almost time to go, digital team members started to become restless. They were almost done with the allotted work for today but the new leader was still working energetically inside her own office. 

Since the glass wall wasn't completely tinted, they could see that Han Meixiu was still focus as she moved her fingers across the keyboard. From time to time she would tilt her head and knit her brows. 

But they could never see any sign of her to notice the time. 

The people outside were already signalling each other using their gazes. But none wanted to go up first to leave the area. 

An hour passed silently and most of them already started to work ahead of their schedule. 

To make matters worse, when someone finally stood up to leave, he saw Liu Zijian coming over. Fatty immediately sat down again. 

"Why?" The person next to him asked while whispering. 

The man whose courage was just melted, answered in a straight face. "Second Sir."

Earlier today even though they were surprised by the sudden 'leave' of Zen, they were delighted after finding out that Han Meixiu would take over. 

They're familiar with her work and compared to Zen she's much more easier to approach.

But now after seeing Liu Zijian coming over, their feelings became complicated. Of course she's his wife. It's normal for him to show up from time to time. But that would also mean they could be on the edge every now and then. 

But clearly, Liu Zijian wasn't there to inspect them nor he cared if they would leave the office on time or not. As long as the're finish, it's fine to go home.

After hearing the door opened, Han Meixiu looked at the man coming in. "It's time to go?" She asked glancing swiftly on the wall clock on top of the door. 

"You're done?" Li Zijian said after nodding. 

"Can you wait for 20 minutes? There's something I'm clarifying…"

"Okay." Liu Zijian simply answered and looked around her office. It was obviously smaller than his. There were only two chairs near the table and a plant pot in the corner. 

Since he's been sitting the entire afternoon, he decided to roam around and was surprised that everyone was still busy.

"Do you have an urgent report to finish?"He asked puzzledly. The other department were already almost empty. How come digital team has still complete people?

"Second Sir...that's.." the one who courageously answered was someone who is supposed to have a date. He was also the one insisting fatty earlier to leave first because he will follow immediately. 

While Liu Zijian waited he noticed that the person was looking to the direction of his wife's office. 

When he understood their dilemma of leaving on time, his complexion soften.

"You don't need to wait for her. Go home if you're done." 

The whole team was shocked. It wasn't because of what he said. It was because of the tone of his voice. They even tried to remember if they ever heard Second Sir to talk to them that way. 

After a minute, those who recovered quickly, immediately prepared to leave. 

The 20 minutes Han Meixiu requested extended until an hour and a half. Liu Zijian already roamed the entire floor. 

Seeing that his wife was still engrossed, he sighed and walked towards her to pull her out of her world. 

"That's enough. You still have tomorrow. Let's have dinner."

Reluctantly, she finalized the draft she was doing and turned off her computer before accepting Liu Zijian's hand.

Liu Zijian already called home informing them that they will eat outside and they would go home a bit late. 

By the time the two came back, it was already half past 10. 

Like the usual routine after coming back, Han Meixiu would check the twin. 

She was beyond surprise after she opened the door.

The two big lazy couches were occupied by two sleeping older ladies with sleeping babies on their arms. One was Madam Liu holding Little Rong and the other one was holding Little Yu. 

"Mom?" Han meixiu whispered. She smiled softly before closing the door silently.

When she turned around she saw Liu Zijian. 

"They're sleeping." She said in a soft voice.

Liu Zijian actually knew the arrival of his mother in law. Normally, if Han Meixiu wasn't too absorbed in her work, she could have checked the monitoring system in her phone. The twins's room has four cameras located in all the corners of the room. 

But since she didn't, she was unaware that her mother came in an hour before they came back. 

He also decided not to tell her as he wanted to surprise his wife. Seeing the subtle smile on her lips, he knew she was pleased. 

Few hours earlier, Zhang Huiling was actually too stressed as it seemed that her investigation was getting astray. Besides, the upcoming big mission had changes. 

Even her usual tea room where she could relax was rendered ineffective. 

As she was pondering on what to do to calm herself, she noticed the 100th day invitation card of the twins.

Without a second thought, she stormed out of her office and changed her persona multiple times before contracting Madam Liu. 

When she arrived at the younger Liu's home the twins were still playing and was about to be fed. After cleaning herself up, she voluntarily helped. 

It was actually the first time she held the two. Her previous visits were only short and she was only looking at them. Now, she could hold one at a time.

There was an immeasurable feeling of warmth spreading inside her. 

In this kind of moment, she's actually envious with Madam Liu. But seeing that the other woman was warmly loving and ampering the two angels, she felt thankful. 

After the two finished their milk. Both older ladies carry one of the twins and engaged in a usual talk.

Due to the peaceful ambiance, the two also fell asleep after the twins. 

When Han Meixiu opened the door, Zhang Huling actually felt it but she chose to continue to enjoy this moment of peacefulness. She didn't know when she could experience this kind of privilege again.
