173 Meeting With Older Chen

After the series of meeting in the morning, Liu Zijian's last schedule before lunch would be with the older Chen.

Since he didn't expect to bring his wife in LCG, he planned to end the meeting with the older Chen earlier than his original schedule so he could have a lunch with Han Meixiu.

He already sent Ye Ming to inform his wife about it and now he's on his way to meet Chen Wujing. The meeting place was not too far from LCG thus he only needed few minutes to arrive there.

The older Chen was relaxingly sitting while waiting for the young man. The table for two has more than enough space for both of them. The place was a secluded by a seven-panel divider designed with a black bamboo image.

When Liu Zijian arrived, he smiled reservedly.

After the customary greetings, the two comfortably sat down.

"To whom should I owe this meeting with the Second Young Master Liu?" Chen Wujing asked.

"Han Meixiu." Liu Zijian simply answered.

"Han..? A miss from the Han family? Who? The one who eloped or the one who caught sleeping with another man, or probably the one my son is going to be engaged to? Don't tell me you're here to sabotage their engagement?"

Chen Wujing didn't know if he would celebrate or not. Truly, Han females were really his son's nemesis.

"The second one." Liu Zijian answered in a calm manner.

"Oh, that loose woman?" Chen Wujing laughed disgustingly.

Liu Zijian's complexion suddenly turned cold and unforgiving but he still remained his composure. If the person in front of him wasn't an elder, he probably gave him a punch already. But since, he's almost the same age as his own father, he remembered his manners.

"I don't really understand my son. He requested to be engaged to her even before graduating high school. I never really see them meet nor even talk. But I remember he would always ask to attend a party if the Zhang couple would come. Right, the old Zhang couple didn't accept my engagement proposal."

Chen Wujing recalled when he saw how determined his nonchalant son to compete as a head of Chen family.

Naturally as a father, he would use any necessary means in order to push his son to the peak of power in the family.

Seeing that he was finally interested to fight for it, he was exhilarated beyond reason.

He thought that it would be hard for him to recover some psychological issues during his younger years but he was able to over come them.

When he heard his request, he was more than willing to fulfill it. Unfortunately, the other party didn't agree as they gave the ultimate decision to the involved person.

He didn't think much about it since it's normal for a man to like someone especially during that stage. Also, it looked that his son accepted the reason wholeheartedly.

"Then he asked old Han again to be engaged to that woman when his first fiancee eloped."

Chen Wujing thought it was probably for revenge.

"It was a good thing he didn't end up with her. Who knows how many men she already slept with? Tsk!"

Liu Zijian calmly closed his eyes. He already got what he wanted but he couldn't seem to calm himself down.

Although he expected as much, hearing them directly that Chen Dewei 'saw' Han Meixiu was way earlier than he thought, he wished he could turn back the time and met her earlier than the other man.

But since he couldn't turn back the time and the most important is the present, he wouldn't want to dwell on it that much.

He must not give the other person another tiny bit of chance to be close to her now that she's his wife.

"Hold on, don't tell me you're interested to that loose woman? Second Young Master Liu, I can introduce you to some Chen ladies that..."

"That loose woman... I advise you to refrain slandering her." Liu Zijian said in a cold voice coupled with a piercing that gave a dangerous warning to the old man.

"I'm not. My son personally saw her sleeping with a random man! I am just concern as an elder." Chen Wujing answered as he started to sweat. is original commanding voice was lowered to a few degrees as he felt coldness slowly creeping in.

Liu Zijian sarcastically chuckled as he stood up.

"Sleeping with a random man?"

He's not some random man. He was the chosen one.

"Yes! It wasn't on the news but the topic was a popular discussion among.."

"I didn't know Master Chen Wujing loves this kind of thing."

"My son was involved. How could I not know it?" Chen Wujing although a bit agitated as he was always cut-off, still controlled his temper.

"Thank you for your time, Master Chen."

"Huh?"

Liu Zijian walked a few steps before he turned slightly.

"Han Meixiu isn't a loose woman. She's my wife. And that random man you're talking about, heh. That was me. It's too bad, I'm a lot better choice than your son."

When the young man was finally out of sight, Chen Wujing finally snapped back to reality.

'His wife? Liu Zijian is already married?'

'His son was dumped?'

'Better choice than his son?'

The more he remember the words Liu Zijian said the more he felt enraged.

As a proud father, he couldn't let anyone belittle his son nor make him a second choice.

Their family both have their own strength and weakness. They could be considered equal and could actually co exist peacefully.

But the information he just heard, seemed to shake the stable balance of Q City.

He wondered if his own son knew that the man with Han Meixiu that time was Liu Zijian.

He never heard of it. The information must have been well hidden.

It doesn't matter. His son probably already moved on since he's going to be engaged tonight.

It was just like before. Tonight's engagement was his initiative. The only difference is that tonight, the woman was not that 'loose' woman.

Tonight, his son would show the world his fiancee. Although the woman was not someone from an influential family, his son could still give an extravagant party to their engagement.

Unlike Liu Zijian, they already married but almost nobody knows. It was as if he was ashamed of the woman.

That's right. That was probably the reason. They already slept even before getting marriage. Even he's the first man to that woman's life, their action was still considered improper.

'He pretended to be uninterested in women when in fact he already touched someone's fiancee'.

Tonight, he wanted Liu Zijian to know who is the real man. He could foresee that all female in the entire country would be envious to the woman his son's going to be engaged to.

He could also imagine the heart of Han Meixiu who cheated on his son would bleed with envy.

It would be a good show to watch.

Chen Wujing was already smiling when he left the restaurant as his thoughts became more and more delusional.
