131 Married
"Well..." Madam Liu didn't know how to actually answer.
"I am married?" Liu Zijian asked again and looked questioningly to both people. His voice was a little harsh and sounded cold.
"Yes. You are." Liu Zilong answered. Although he guessed that there could be a possibility of Liu Zijian having a post traumatic amnesia, he still couldn't believe it.
Madam actually heard the warning of the doctor about this possibility. But she didn't thought it would actually happen.
"Oh." The Second Young Master simply answered. "Then, where is my wife?"
"She's recuperating in another room. She might be able to visit you tomorrow." Liu Zilong calmly answered.
"I see." He simply answered as if the information he received wasn't related to him.
"I'll get the doctor." Madam Liu then stood up and went out. She's been holding her emotions as she didn't want her children to see her being too emotional.
She couldn't believe that her two babies who were happily married would eventually end up not recognizing each other.
She recalled what happened yesterday. She was on her way to the hospital when she received a call from Mr. Liu.
"We found her. She's being transferred now."
It turned out, there was a group of people badly wanted to join the LGC but was always eliminated. Although they were good, there were factors in their personalities that were unacceptable.
To retaliate, they planned to kidnap one of the trainee and squeezed some information on how to be accepted.
Han Meixiu, who was disguised that time was the unfortunate victim.
Mr. Liu actually thought if there's a curse placed on women of the Liu family. First, it was his wife who was abducted wrongly and now it's his daughter in law.
The security of the training area was also compromised. Based from their investigation, the guard on duty was currently training a newly recruit who was a nephew of one of the cleaners in the area. This person was still oblivious about so many different things and since the medic group who entered that time was seemed to be well knowledgeable of the training area, he didn't think twice to let them in.
There were three escape routes the group prepared. One moved towards the city and roamed around for a good couple of hours before it stopped in an abandoned warehouse barely outside the capital but in another direction.
The other traveled to the sea port and this was what Liu Zijian followed. The said van actually drove passed the boundary of the dock thus submerging itself under the water below. When the van was lifted up, they saw Han Meixiu's personal belongings inside. Maybe it was the reason Liu Zijian chased this van and not the other two.
The third one was found abandoned near the property of the Yang Family. Although they aren't as big as the Liu Family in terms of power and status, they're one of the respected family in Q City. Compared to other families, the Yangs lived simply. Their compound didn't contain any security features. Thus when Mr. Liu's people visited, they were surprised that their place was involved in a kidnapping. The head of the family enthusiastically agreed to let the people search the area.
They found the wig Han Meixiu wore in the vicinity giving them the impression that the young woman was indeed there and not in the other two escape routes. The wig was special as it was actually redesigned by both Han Meixiu and Madam Liu and even showed it to the two men of Liu family how they cut some parts to make it more comfortable. It was then they tried to look for a clinic or hospital around as based from the 'kidnappers' she escaped. They then found her in a small maternity clinic.
The doctor who owned the clinic said, the young woman came covered with wounds. She was holding tightly a human mask and her clothes that had some damaged were also covered with dry leaves and some small twigs.
Though she cleaned the wounds to avoid infections, she also asked the young woman her name. But the young woman didn't answer her. She just stared blankly at the doctor.
The doctor thought maybe she needed to take a rest thus she let her sleep in the clinic. The doctor also presumed that if she's lost or she escaped, then there would be news the next day. She left the clinic to attend to one of her laboring patient who was just admitted in a hospital nearby. By the time her patient successfully gave birth, it was already almost noon. Before going home, she dropped by at her clinic to check the woman.
She asked her again but, the woman still didn't answer and there was no news of a missing person. The doctor was about to call the police to report when a group of people came in.
Although she wasn't able to get the name of the woman, she deduced that she must have been from an influential family, based from the number of escorts picking her up. The doctor was also rewarded handsomely.
Madam Liu clearly remembered when she arrived at her daughter in law's room.
Han Meixiu, dressed in a light blue hospital gown with tiny patterns, was sitting on the side of the bed. She didn't even notice when Madam Liu came and even when she called her name.
It was only when Madam Liu touched her cold hand that she gave a reaction. She slowly looked at the older woman.
Madam Liu was taken a back when she saw how empty those eyes looked back at her. It was as if she lost her soul during the abduction incident.
The older woman wondered what could have happen to make her daughter in law like this?
Based from what they gathered, she wasn't tied up and was given a sleeping 'area' when those people confined her.
Was it when the time she escaped?
The young woman in front of her seemed to experience hell before being found.
Did the doctor lied to them?
Madam Liu highly doubt it. But since the young woman still didn't want to talk and seemed to forget herself, Madam Liu could only understand and support her healing process.
Back in the room of Liu Zijian, when Madam Liu left, Liu Zilong was asked a question.
"Tell me, how did I end up being married before you?"
Liu Zilong sighed before he answered.
"It's quite a long story. Mom will probably be able to explain it better than me."The First Young Master replied.
"Make it short, then."
"You met her and got married." Liu Zilong answered. He knew it wasn't the answer his brother was expecting but how could he shorten their complicated story.
Liu Zijian's expression showed annoyance upon hearing his brother's words. He then decided to change the topic.
"Where's Ye Long?"
"I've heard you gave him a task and won't be returning your side until it's completion."
Liu Zijian simply nodded.
"You really don't remember anything?"
