Guess what? Putting on his business smile and persona wasn't enough.

'I. Did. Not. Expect. This'

Jin was prepared for everything, well- everything other than this interview. For a solid hour he sat there giving answers regarding every single detail for questions directed towards him, questions varied from being about what he expects from the company to what his old job comprised of.

'Why the fuck are they so intense?' It took everything in him to not sigh when the jolly looking man opened another file.

He was quite used to intimidating meetings and contracts but right now he felt tired by the amount of inquiry they are going through. He has interviewed handful of people previously and an interview for a any position lasting twenty minuted is a stretch.

When he expected the interview to end, they sprung a bunch of unusual questions "How much time would you deem suitable for yourself when on business trips overseas?"

"Do you think you can see yourself working on managing someone's image on media platforms?"

"How well do you work with keeping check of multiple team at the same time?"

Seokjin had taken his sweet time answering each question, explaining how much he is used to clearing someone's image on social media and with time, has made good amount of acquaintances with news outlet and their managers. He took pride in accepting that he is had been head for one department yet took part in management of other departments.

And when it comes to how much time he can put aside for business trips, he really doesn't fucking care. Theres not must present here he'd invest in so his schedule was embarrassingly way too flexible.

"The recommendation letter states you have an impressive record with projects dealing with promotions and schedule management, will you consider a job if its main focus was these two things?"

"I will accept a job if I deem it as proper. My main skill set is management, may it be of budget or people." Seokjin was beyond confused, he clearly has the job then why are they still interviewing him- 'AH, this is for the high profile part of the email?'

The part of the fact that he might be landing a high profile job slipped his mind, blame the interview for being exhausting enough that he forgot about something /that/ important.

There is always enough space for one to wonder about what will happen or hope for something to happen. Somehow, it has been more of a constant cycle of 'what if's mixed with 'why is this happening'. Without the aspect of hope.

It is not one bit exciting living like that.

Jin had a checklist for what he wanted from the job and to his surprise, Bighit entertainment had unknowingly offered him more than what he required and in exchange made his work hours very flexible. Maybe him agreeing to the rough working hours he must expect in future was the last check mark on their list.

He wouldn't mind the crazy load of work but he wants to give himself a chance to relax this time, he may find it hard to enjoy his time but he surely hopes he can relax while working "I don't mind varying work hours as long as I am able to keep my health in check."

As soon as the words left his mouth they were beyond pleased, all of them seemed to be having a silent discussion within themselves. After two of them nodding and the third one turning back to Seokjin with a polite smile "Mr. Kim, we would like to offer you one of our company's well paying and most demanding position instead. Manager for one of our idol groups."

"I would like to decide after hearing the details for what that job will require from me, thank you." He smiled politely at the group of three interviewers who sat in-front of him with equally polite and welcoming expressions.

It seemed like they were happy with whatever he had said and presented, heaving a small sigh of relief Seokjin finally relaxed.

All three of them nodded in sync, amusing.

It wasn't long till they started going over the contract he may sign for the high profile group, the rules and conditions were somehow very much of how Seokjin is used to.

Only exception was everything was flexible.

Work hours? Flexible.

Schedule? Flexible.

Seokjin raised his eyebrow glancing at the file while contemplating if it will suit his lifestyle or not- okay, who is he kidding he doesn't care as long as his check is coming through.

'The offer is too damn good to turn down.' And he paused- 'yes, too damn good to be true.'

"Thank you very much, If you wouldn't mind I would like to go over and proof read the contract once." Wanting to make sure he wouldn't find himself being exploited by a big company just for being naïve enough to not proof-read the contract properly.

Giving them his best business smile he decided to go through each and every line right there, 'The faster I get done with this, the better. I am so fucking hungry.'

Whoever drafted this contract had done a very damn well job. There were only few restriction and Jin realised that he had a quite wide range of jobs to manage. He took that as a challenge,

'Oh? Managing an idol group isn't as easy as these tv shows and dramas made me believe. Woah.'

He was happy to picture himself working accordingly, Seokjin closed the file with a small smile. "I am guessing I will be needing to sign more than one contract if I take on the second offer." Referring to the NDA he must sign.

"Yes, Mr. Kim. The second job requires you to sign a non disclosure agreement along with this one. The former one would be drafted on your first day at work, so you must sign the NDA then."

He felt pleased with the situation. He liked that this time he was to be involved in managing the idol group and all the teams involved with them. This was a very new approach to a job he has been doing since start.

It was now two in the afternoon, walking out of the building he rubbed his arm, 'I have a job...' He made sure to walk as fast as he could without looking like as if he was constipated, eyes scanning his surroundings looking for a convenience store to at-least buy himself a bottle of juice before he heads back home.

'Who knew the interview would have gone over two fucking hour'

Seokjin was quick on his feet to take the 200ml bottle of his favourite lychee juice to the check out only to have a comparatively tiny stranger ram into him spilling the cold drink in their hands. There were audible gasps from both of them.

"Shit, shit, shit... shit, fuck- oh my fuck, fuck.. okay shit-.." the stranger kept murmuring while looking at him with wide eyes and holding both his hand in-front as if to touch Seokjin's now ruined white shirt. Jin guessed the little man had a seemly panicked look under his mask.

Seokjin was about to tell him its okay but was given no time to speak, "here, oh my god- I am sorry for the damage, please take these... I really hope it will be enough to get these cleaned or buy a new-" the tiny man having shoved $20 in his hands while his eyes kept doing once over Jin's torso with a hint of panic.

Looking down at his outfit to check the amount of "damage", the shirt clinging onto his abdomen and the smell of coffee filling his nostrils. In many situations he would have felt annoyed but right now his annoyance seemed to have slipped away because of the stranger's panicked and worried eyes.

"No, actually its fi-" he looked up, greeted with the sight of nobody in-front of him, 'the little guy vanished'. Seokjin heaved another sigh shoving the money in his pocket and checked out his juice while informing the staff about the spilt coffee.

'At least my blazer is fine, I would have legit cried otherwise.'

The day seemed to have made it its motive to pass as slow as it could. Seokjin found himself being pulled by his collar as soon as he entered the apartment. "OH MY GOD SEOK-" "-what are you doing?"

In the span of sixty seconds, Seokjin had been manhandled and closely examined by Taehyung "Will you now answer me?" and all Taehyung did was look at him with confusion written all over his face. He again did a once over and motioned towards the ruined shirt and slacks, silently asking Seokjin to address the reason.

"Umm.. this little guy ran into me and spilled coffee on my way back."

"Oh- I thought you got into fight or fell into a sewer or some shit like that... haha.. DON'T look at me like that!!! You fell into the gutter TWICE in your senior year I have my reasons to be worried if it will happen again or not-" Taehyung continued rambling when Seokjin gave him a pointed look.

Seokjin scoffed in disbelief while walking towards his room to get changed and probably take a shower.

He didn't mean for the shower to turn into an over twenty minute long activity but the moment he stood under the water, he felt all of his muscles relax and that alone had him losing track of time. The hot water trailed down his muscles in swift motions eliciting a content and throaty hum.

He stood there for ten minutes without moving, eyes closed, hot water running through his edges.

It took him nearly ten minutes to zone back in and actually get himself cleaned. Even then, his mind kept wandering back to places he very much wants to avoid getting trapped in. It felt like an impossible task to him.

Even if it was as simple as to start thinking about something else, it was tough.

Sometimes simple isn't easy.

Getting out of the shower, shivering a bit when he got into his pyjamas. While doing his usual routine for drying his hairs while listening to music, he decided he should start surfing the app and discover new artists who would suit his taste. He chose a playlist named 'cafe music' and let the music play.

There was this comforting deep voice singing, the background music had Seokjin almost swooning. The rhythmic beats while the vocals overlapping each other. It would be fair to say he fell in love with this song. Skipping over to where his phone was left discarded, 'Hmm, 28 from mixtape D-2.'

Adding the song to his playlist and also saving the album to listen to it later whenever he is free, Seokjin decided to spend the evening wandering from one library to other. It had been years since he visited any libraries, he was somewhat excited to visit them again.

Sometimes the things we used to do for fun turns into an activity thats now nothing but draining and exhausting.

If we look into it to find the reason for it, it heavily depends on our perspective about approaching things. We unknowingly mark the hobbies and tasks which we often did to calm ourselves as useless or unimportant. Even if we started them because no matter how much shit we are at it, it won't matter.

He didn't know when his love for reading books turned into something that needed him to take time out specifically for, he still very much craves sitting down and reading a random novel till his eyes feel heavy but now there is always that tug he feels whenever he thinks about it. Not knowing if the tug is towards or away from it, he deems it better to not feed into it.

Seokjin quietly sipped onto his iced latte while walking around multiple shelves, 'this one looks interesting' taking out a book with white- no, ivory white cover, titled "The ministry of utmost happiness" he felt as if the title was mocking him, nonetheless he was intrigued by the blurb at the back.

'How to tell a shattered story?

By becoming everybody.

No. By slowly becoming everything.'

The cover looked rich and rugged, its hard to imagine something to look like that. The front vaguely looking like a door while the back had rose petals fallen on what looked like an old wall.

He wanted to sit down right there and read it but something in him told him to hold back, this unwanted turmoil he keeps feeling during such mundane and useless decisions has started to frustrate him to no end.

'I might not read it right away but maybe soon I will want to sit and reason with it.'

Despite his conscious scoffing at him for giving in and buying the book, he was not quite sure as to when or why he will read it. He decided to not visit any more libraries today. He sat how in a cafe near his apartment, taking his time while choosing what to order.

He didn't want to drink anymore caffeine so he decided to luck it out and point onto a random name on the menu under the fruit category. Deciding this is a good time to check his emails and messages, he skimmed through them all discarding the useless ones while responding to the important ones.

An email caught his eye, it was from Bighit entertainment informing him of when he starts his work. That being in two days- no, one and half day as it was already six in the evening. He read the instructions and set of directions they sent him, it was the usual set of rules any entertainment company would have.

"...you are to report at 9 am, your daily work will be from 10 am but introductions and a go through with everything on your first day might be lengthy...."

"...The group assigned to you for management will be introduced on Monday too, for working side by side with them there will be a need to form proper acquaintances within..."

After a solid minute, Seokjin formed some sort of opinion or emotion for the situation which was something which can be a mix of 'okay-okay and oh this is different, should I back down?'. It is taking a-lot of his time to process the direction his life has started flowing to, these minute changes in what he is used to were making him question multiple things. Its as if instead of flowing along life he has started wanting to control the pace and path he is going on.

That terrified him to some extent but after that, it did give him sparks of excitement too.

He felt like he was a child getting ready for the first day of school. Excited, scared and somewhat anxious. Anxiousness overriding the better aspects of it all.

To be clear, he was only /somewhat anxious/ okay? Him eating a bowl of strawberries while researching about bighit, doing his usual workout routine while listening to news about the said company or him almost knocking the bowl of ramen out of Taehyung's hands while walking around the living room proof reading the email again and again was only because he was /somewhat anxious/.

"Stop shaking your legs. I am trying to complete my assignment here."Taehyung said in a a mildly annoyed tone. And to no one's surprise, it wasn't enough to get Seokjin to zone back in. So he did what every sane person would do. Kicked his knee, /hard/.

"OUCH- WHAT THE FUC- AGH" he glared at Taehyung who sat right in-front of him, "Are you /that/ nervous for tomorrow?" Seokjin simply scoffed and shook his head while Taehyung narrowed his eyes on him, "okay, okay I am tiny bit nervous-" "liar"

He threw his hands in the air to exasperate, "I M NOT LYING"

"Liar liar pants on fire~"

"Fuck off"

And he hated to admit but he didn't want the day to come, similar to how changing school was dreadful as it meant having to start from scratch. It meant a new start and Seokjin didn't know if he pushed himself too far too early. There was a lingering 'you can not stop now though.' Ringing in his mind.

He felt a pair of fingers pushing down his eyebrows down, as if to smooth the crease. "You look constipated." Taehyung sat back while smiling at him, "I was scared shitless for my first day at college. I worried and overanalysed tons of things out of fear for not fitting in or sticking out like sore thumb."

"I remember you calling me while crying about how you tripped and fell onto someone while entering the lecture hall- oh my god" Seokjin laughed loudly recalling the memory of how he was in middle of sorting documents only to have his brother call him asking him if he can runaway to a farm and start a new life in the countryside.

"I was so much embarrassed, shut the fuck up." Taehyung huffed and went back to typing on his laptop while glancing at Seokjin every now and then to make sure he didn't have more nerves building up again.

Without looking away from the screen Taehyung softly said "It is okay to be nervous about new things, Seoki." He knows just saying things wont be much helpful but he needs to let his brother know that what he was feeling was normal. Jin simply hummed while offering a small smile, Taehyung smiled widely at that. 'At least he is accepting these words, this is a progress.'

The time went by quickly, both of them felt lazy enough to not argue about what they will get from takeout. They ate in silence except for the usual questions about each of their's day.

There wasn't much they had in common, contrasting interests and personalities but at the end of the day they unconditionally loved and treasured each other. There are times when they both look like opposites while also being similar enough to resemble each other's energy.

It was as if he was a kid again, 'why the fuck am I this nervous' Seokjin kept twisting and turning but failing to find a comfortable position, once he did find one he didn't feel sleepy enough. Heaving a sigh he put on music lull him to sleep. 'K. by Cigarettes After Sex'

At first he was frustrated for being nervous but right now he felt that small stream of doubt creeping in, he despised himself for giving into those moments of doubts. Seokjin was never supposed to be in this position, was never supposed to bear all these responsibilities in the first place, he was never supposed to be strong enough for it all.

Not knowing for how long he just stared at the ceiling, he decided to pull an all-nighter because at this point sleeping for three hours and waking up cranky and unfocused will be worse than not sleeping at all. Seokjin took a glass of water wishing it would be able to calm him down.

He didn't know when his feet started to take him to Taehyung's room but here he was now, in-front of the bedroom door contemplating if he should go in or not. He wasn't aware of what even he wanted, what will he even say? I can't sleep so I am here to wake you up too?

Shaking his head he decided it was better to not disturb him, right when Seokjin was about to move he heard a low frustrating groan from inside. He knocked quietly, a resounding hum along with "yes?" was heard. Twisting the knob while making sure he turned the kitchen lights off, "why are you still awake? Don't you have an early lecture?"

"I can ask the same to you." Taehyung mumbled while moving his books and sweaters from the table to shelf while ushering Seokjin to sit on the bed.

"I wanted to sort out my last year's notes properly but its so fucking frustrating."

Taehyung had quite a lot going on in his room, the floor had his bags while two piles of folded clothes right outside his closet, his art supplies laying right next to shelves with multiple blank canvases stacked beside. 'Its not messy but why do I feel this urge to rearrange everything.'

Seokjin was observing his supplies while they might look well put together from the bed at one glance but if you look closer it was very cluttered, "If you want you I can move some stuff out of store room to make space for you art things" he shrugged while looking at the younger, who seemed to be in some sort of dilemma.

"That would be cool but I am in a very big situation right now."

"Situation as in ... ?"

"As in what in the bloody hell should I wear tomorrow." Taehyung threw his hands in the air to exasperate, "Hey!! How the fuck was I supposed to know that shit." he scoffed while getting comfortable on the bed. He had seen his brother wear scary amount of cardigans and sweaters while also very formal wear too, honestly his style was anything he finds comfortable enough.

Seokjin always found Taehyung's clothes and room very cozy, it was not new to him that he was often stealing hoodies from his younger brother. It was easier than actually going out and buying them, saves tons of time and to be honest, always unique and beautiful.

It wasn't long till Taehyung actually started buying extra knowing his brother would be hoarding couple of them every now and then. It was funny how when it comes to spending money Kim Taehyung was the incharge.

Seokjin hissed while rubbing ice on his still swollen eyes, not remembering when he fell asleep but thankfully Taehyung's alarm woke him up 'I can not believe the fact that if it wasn't for his stupid alarm I would have been late for my first day.'

Taking a quick shower and dressing up in his favourite black slacks and white shirt, he was quick to move towards the kitchen to grab his usual fruit and juice combo when the note on fridge caught his eye.

"I accidentally made extra soup while packing for chim, have that for breakfast instead. And for the love of god have some rice too, start eating heavy breakfast, seoki.

- your bestest brother"

Seokjin scoffed while neatly folding the note, softly shoving it in his wallet. 'Is his friend sick?' Re-heating the soup while microwaving rice, he took his phone out to text Taehyung asking if his friend was well and needed any medicine. He received a response almost immediately. Something along the lines of "his ass ate two bowls of ice cream and caught a cold" and tons of photos.

He scrolled through each, one being of them eating breakfast, other being of food and the rest being random selfies he must have taken in the morning. Seokjin snapped a quick picture of his food and sent it to the younger while captioning it "heavy breakfast : on going" to which Taehyung spammed him with multiple sarcastic "proud of you" "yay!" And "wow".

He had three hours, not knowing what to do he just sat there staring at the wall. It wasn't like he knew what was going on, he never had to sit down and think about how to kill time. And thats awkward as hell too, as how do you even explain someone that you had no will to move or blink? How well can one translate the feeling? doing anything and everything at once, feeling restless, somehow becoming more miserable.

Its not like he can blame anyone but himself for anything. Sighing, he turned his to phone to check the time, a whole hour had passed. There were days when time passed by so quickly that it left him wondering what happened in that blur of moment. He still can not sit down and decipher what those days consisted of, maybe work? maybe staring at his tasks and to-do list? He will never know.

The thing with feelings is that you start to grow accustomed to them, may it be for the better or not. Right now, he was painfully aware of how much he is comfortable with feeling numb, he felt more at ease when he simply didn't feel anything.

Is that wrong? Maybe.

Is that bad? Definitely not, everything we do is for feeling safe. Feeling safe from our own emotions, actions and decisions.

Walking into the Bighit Ent. Building he felt two very weird things. He was scared and nervous but he still felt some sort of excitement laced with all of it. He was confident, okay- maybe not, but he did give himself one of those adult pep talks right before leaving the apartment.

Everything was happening so quickly today, one moment he was at reception asking for directions and next he knows he is signing a NDA while re-reading the contracts. Going through paperwork has to be the least of what he wants to do in morning but who can he complain to, he was the one who asked for it.

Fucking paranoia.

Contracts have to be on top of 'things Kim Seokjin despises' list, he just hates how much power someone can have over him if he didn't proofread before signing something shady.

He only remembers three of the staffs who actually interviewed him, not the names but the faces and he knew how to word his sentences to avoid having to refer to them by their names. Sometimes his ability to bullshit his way out of conversations can save his ass.

The guy with a jolly smile and round glasses smiled at him, nodding his head he waited for someone to lead him to introductions with his teams. "I am glad to have you work with us, Mr. Kim." Jin smiled firmly shaking his hand while saying the same to the man.

It won't hurt to have expectations this time… right? But it will surely hurt like a bitch when its time to justify it all when those expectations fuck him over again.

Isn't this how its supposed to be? You feel like hoping for something and soon for even more too? Like with time we start to wish for more and the times when it can't come true we take a deep plunge into that familiar void yet again.

He vaguely remembers his first internship, how haggard and exhausting it was. The time spent in only taking out xerox and fax while knowing damn well there is a sword hanging on his neck ready to chop his head off if he as much as fails to secure a firm position to complete those "expectations" and "hopes". How hollow it leaves you, how much nice it started to feel after a while when he got familiar with that feeling.

It was his second year in college when he started the internship along with a part time job with suitable night shifts for him. It all felt normal, probably because it is. At least to the mis-fortuned ones who weren't privileged enough to complete their educations without having to sacrifice a part of their youth to keep up with the demands this world had.

It was normal, it was easy too. Easy to let go of everything and submerge himself in work and studies, being distracted from life is addicting. So addicting that often times even if it wasn't needed he found himself drowning in chores. Craving that feeling.

Walking along side the jolly man Seokjin noticed how many people were dressed in business casual while a quarter of them were in clothes which can be only explained as casually bland, plain t-shirts and trousers. 'This is an entertainment company of-course they will have artists spending free time in here like this.'

The whole place was somewhat lively despite it being afternoon hours, its the time when Seokjin usually feels himself craving a power-nap.

Entering the hallway on the fifteenth floor Seokjin smiled looking at the contemporary art pieces that were hung on each sides, "This floor is specifically registered to the Cyphers, there are two rooms for arrangements and props while three studio rooms of each member from the band; two extra rooms which are free as of now. The team will be introduced to you shortly, first lets meet the immediate staff for the band?"

Seokjin nodded while taking in all the information which can be proved to important later, the band seems to be on a pretty high side of the industry.

They entered a room which seems to be a common area of some sorts, he took a brief glance over the room. A big television playing some sort of drama, a pile of binder files, a mounted mood-board with multiple outfit and aesthetic prints, four people arranging props into quite huge boxes while three funky clothed men were dozing off on the couch- what even is going on?

Quickly introducing himself to the staff present there who were rather excited about his appointment here.

All four of the staff gave a quick smile briefly while explaining what they had going on here, finding out that the man was the CEO, he felt quite silly for calling him "the jolly guy" in his mind.

"Woah so you used to do big boy stuff there?" Yuuna mused while looking at him as if he had told her he could find a rabbit on moon. It was somewhat endearing too, she had introduced herself as one of the permanent stylists for the band and that alone impressed Seokjin because you need to have mad skills to get recruited so young.

"You are so amazed by that? but its way boring than what you imagine."

"According to you." shaking her head while wrapping the props, she ushered him to join her. "Don't think too highly about it"

"Sorry that wont be possible, I spent years trying to learn that and couldn't figure out anything for the life of me."

It was never hard for him to camouflage into a group right after few minutes but that doesn't mean he liked that. Its okay though, as long as he is able to survive he would do anything.

It was nearly evening, all along packing and arranging the props Yuuna explained every small thing that was common and how the band expects everyone to be like; the three funky clothed men were the members of the band, unsurprisingly so. "They were trying out the stage costumes and the stylist had to run few changes so they decided its better to stay in them and wait."

"The stylist will be back in few minutes, Mr. Kim. Then you can get to know the members too!" Yuuna offered a smile, continuing "They all are very professional and humble, I think you will enjoy working with them." To which Seokjin could only offer a simple nod. 'I hope so.'

"Have you checked out their albums-oh you are awake?" Seokjin shifted his focus to the tall blond man, 'he does look like a celebrity'. Offering a smile to him, Seokjin inclined his head a bit which was returned in a very adorably sleepy manner. "Thats the leader of the group, Kim Namjoon."

It didn't take long for Namjoon to completely wake up and introduce himself to Jin, "I look forward to working with you, Mr. Kim."

Seokjin smiled wide, "The feeling is mutual, Mr. Kim." And both of them grinned so hard that from afar they may look comical. "Lemme wake up the rest." Ignoring his protests Namjoon tapped on one man's arm while shaking the other.

'Its fine, you know how to make acquaintances.' No, its not fine, he was nervous to meet the rest of the members as he might be able to make them his acquaintances but not coworkers, if they dislike him and /that/ would be hell.

"Hi, Mister manager!" The red haired man smiled widely at him, it was quite unusual for Seokjin to meet so much happy or energised people other than Taehyung. "My name is Jung Hoseok, very nice to meet you. You are very handsome." Jin let out a hearty chuckle at that while offering a handshake.

"My name is Kim Seokjin and I believe you are very charming and handsome, too." He seemed to have fallen in conversation with him easily, not noticing the other one waking up. "Hello, my name is Min Yoongi-" the black haired member was frozen for a good second before falling into a fit of cough.

Namjoon was quick to offer him water, "That is Yoongi hyung, last but not the least- hmm.. what else can I use instead of that phrase? Its way too generic. He is the soul to my hole? It rhymes-" "Please, shut the fuck up, Hobi. That sounds fucked up."

"At least it rhymes. And quick-quick introduce yourself properly to Manager Kim" he huffed while folding his arms over his chest motioning towards Seokjin.

"I would have done that without you telling me to do too." Yoongi sneered while doing a half bow to Seokjin, "I am Min Yoongi. Nice to meet you."

"Myself, Kim seokjin." This was like the fifth time he had to introduce himself in just an hour. Offering a polite smile to Yoongi before returning the bow.

"Mr. Kim, BangPD must have briefed you about the schedule and release dates for our albums-" remembering the jolly man, Seokjin nodded while piecing back the name to him which he shamelessly had forgotten, "-we will have a meeting in an hour about the album release dates." Namjoon paused, "You will get the list of agendas soon and as you are going to be managing us, from next time you will be provided with them way sooner than few hours before the meeting."

All three of them were taken to the other side of room to try on different outfits as the stylist had arrived when they were introducing themselves. Seokjin offered a polite smile, yet again, to the band and the stylist before exiting the room following Yuuna.

"What happened big guy? You seem very quiet right now." She mused while nudging him to take one of the boxes she was carrying.

"Nothing much. I am just- um, a bit fidgety? Yeah."

"You are way too calm for someone who is about to attend the weekly conference. I was literally shaking when I had to attend and present my ideas or opinions- they were all so patient but damn was it not nerve-wrecking for someone who never did any public speaking."

Seokjin nodded while wondering about how he will be needing to attend a damn meeting on the first day of his work. To say he wasn't close to panicking would be a lie, he loves doing presentation BUT when he was well prepared. And right now he had zero preparations done.

Seokjin widened his eyes, he had not known which group he as going to be assigned to so he had no knowledge over what they sing, write or talk about. He roughly had an hour now to get himself to learn about their social media presence. Quickly shooting Taehyung a text asking him to tell him whatever he knew about the band "The Cyphers". Hoping Taehyung knew them enough to explain their musical presence on the scene.

He had excused himself to get a better look around the floor, the interior was quite impressive and he was a sucker for some good lighting fixtures.

It was easy sometimes, way too easy. He loved learning new things and most of the times it was not because he has this knowledge hungry side, it was simply because it was easier to submerge oneself when focusing on tasks like learning.

He found himself listening to their music, not that he could speed run through seven albums in an hour. Scrolling through articles about the group and their sales- honestly any article which mentioned their name. Seokjin wanted to thank his mother for having him read multiple books from a young age as his reading speed seems to get better every-time he engages with it.

Seokjin wasn't sure when he turned on the auto pilot but he remembers brief moments from the blur of a day he had later on.

Remembers reading Taehyung's long ass message ranting about The Cypher's "flawless discography and stage presence" along with how lucky he was as he gets to work with them and meet them everyday.

He definitely remembers Yoongi awkwardly nodding his head in acknowledgement when he stumbled across him while wandering around.

Smiling at the memory of pleased expressions of the staff when he put forward his opinions during the meeting. Marketing is supposed to be his forte how was he gonna let them forget that? Yes, totally flexing.

Seokjin walked to his room while rubbing his shoulders, the meeting went on for too long for his liking. He was tired enough to skip his usual shower before bed and crashed directly onto the mattress. HE was out cold in a minute.

Smiling when he felt sunlight on his face, well thats unusual. He was never pleased by being hit with sunlight the first thing in the morning. Shuffling around the bed, he let a confused hum.

'Ahh I slept before dinner of-course I am gonna be well rested.'

Quick to freshen up for work, he hurried himself to get ready.

Didn't take him too long before he was having his usual bowl of fruits and a bottle of juice as breakfast watching Taehyung shuffle from one room to other while getting ready for his lecture.

"Looks like you are late."

"Genius observation, Sherlock." Taehyung scoffed as he settled in the chair in-front of Seokjin. Slightly frowning when he took a look at what he was eating, "So tell me everything about The Cyphers"

"Wow- good morning to you too my dear brother. I am fine, thank you."

"Yeah-yeah, good morning. Now tell me about them, please!"

"Only because you said please. So.. the first one I met was Namjoon-" "-RM!!"

"-he was very charming, he has dimples!! Probably the first man I like in blond" Seokjin continued when he saw Taehyung's awestruck expression eager to hear more.

"And the other one was so sweet too, he had such a pretty smile. Hoseok-" "-Jhope!!" Seokjin set him with a pointed look and continued nonetheless "Honestly they were all very polite."

"And Yoongi, he was the one with those cat like eyes-" "-Suga!!"

"-was kinda awkward AND STOP INTERRUPTING ME. So as I was saying, yeah- he was the only one who didn't talk much but some people are naturally like that and he seemed genuine during the meeting when he was asking for opinions and all."

Seokjin took a deep breath, he felt his throat burn; how long has he been talking?

"They all have so different personalities oh my god I though I was about to get a whiplash cause of it."

"You are getting old, you might get whiplash from anything." And thats how you get yourself smacked.

Taehyung let out a small whine while rubbing his arm. "Didn't knew a hag could pack a punch like that" Taehyung took off from the couch to his room to save his life.

Seokjin decided he should listen to one of their albums as he still had quite a lot of time till he would leave for work.
