⚠️TW: Panic, self conscious, slight swearing
The week felt like it took forever, but eventually the day came. George was finally coming to Florida.
Dream looked in the mirror and inspected himself, tracing the outline of his collarbone and abs. He noticed every flaw and imperfection on himself to the point he was wishing he looked like George.
Those sparkling brown eyes, fluffy hair, that adorable smile that could light up a whole room...
𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘪 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺..
Dream leaned against the wall and slid down, his knees buckling from under him, sitting on the cold floor. He ran his hands through his hair as his heart raced, causing his anxiety levels to rise more and more. He felt like crying. Was he good enough? Did he look okay? What would George think of him? How would this even work??
Dream tried to calm down by taking deep breaths, and curled up into a ball, wrapping his bare arms around him. He started sobbing, his head resting on his knees.
Are you really crying over your appearance? Grow up, crybaby. It shouldn't matter, he's gonna leave you in the end anyways. He doesn't need you. Get off of your lazy ass, and get ready.
The voices in his head swarmed his head, invading his happy thoughts of seeing George in person. It was honestly giving him dark thoughts. Was he really going to let those stupid voices get under his skin?

As he tried calming down, his phone buzzed. He shakily took it and opened the notification.
George had texted him.
𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲: I'm gonna be here soon!
Dream was freaking out, but decided to stop thinking about it, and just chill out for a while. After a while, Dream responded.
𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺: Can't wait :)
Sure, he was really excited to meet George, but he was scared as well. He was so nervous, his anxiety increasing as he thought of what could go wrong in the future. Dream hoped George would like the way he looked, and nothing would change..mostly.

He sighed, shakily got up, and washed his face, throwing his white shirt back on. He needed to get ready to go pick George up at the airport.

Many people were swarming the airport when Dream entered. A few minutes after he sat down in the waiting area, George texted him.
𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲: I'm so excited!!
𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺: If you see a guy in a green sweatshirt and black jeans, it's me.
Dream was beyond nervous, but he still found the motivation to get up and stand, waiting for people to come pouring out of the exit door. He was fidgeting with his hands as he felt his heart pounding against his chest. His anxiety bubbled inside of him, increasing more by the second as the moment George would walk through that door became closer and closer. Soon, many people rushed out and he spotted a familiar face, looking straight at him. Dream messaged George.
𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺: I see youuuuu
George looked at his phone and smiled. He started making his way towards Dream, his suitcase rolling behind him. Dream started speed walking towards George. When Dream got close enough, he embraced George in a bear hug, surprising him.
"D-dream? Is that you-?"
"It's me." Dream smiled nervously, hoping George wasn't disappointed.
"Oh my god, Dream!" George hugged back tightly.
When they released each other, George stared into Dream's sparkling emerald eyes. "Y-you're wonderful. You look amazing!"
Dream nervously laughed, his cheeks turning hot. "Aww Georgie, you complimented me." Dream smiled. "You're shorter than I imagined."
"Shut up, I'm average height."
There was a long peaceful pause of them both gazing into each other's gleaming eyes, noticing every perfection at sight.
George suddenly lowered his head and stared at the ground, shuffling his feet. "I-it's really you."
"It's me." He chuckled. "It feels strange to see you in person."
"It feels strange to see you in general." George grinned.
Dream laughed, lightly patting George's head. He then stared down at him, still smiling, taking in the fact George was right in front of him.
"Hey, should we start heading to my apartment?"
George nodded, and followed Dream out the doors to his car.
"Woah, this place looks nice!" George dropped his luggage and right away jumped on his sofa. Dream wheezed, walking over to join him. For the rest of the night, they watched movies and talked, until they fell asleep, George's head leaning on Dream's shoulder.
George woke up to the sound of birds chirping loudly. He groaned, grumpy at the birds that woke him every morning. Then, he felt as if something was off.
𝘋𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵?
George opened his eyes, and at first panicked. He had completely forgot he was at Dream's home. Speaking of Dream...
George looked to his left to discover a sleeping Dream right next to him. George had one of his arms wedged behind Dream's body. George had been basically cuddling him in his sleep.
George flustered in embarrassment, and tried to carefully remove his hand, only for Dream to stir, eventually waking up. Dream looked shocked at first, his cheeks a bright red, but George didn't think much of it. Dream yawned and smirked.
"Aww, did Georgie fall asleep on me?" He said in an adorable morning voice.
George blushed an even brighter red.
"S-shut up! You let me!"
"Aww, Gogy, you look so adorable when you're flustered."
Dream kept leading it on.

George always felt different about it. It pulled at his strings, causing him to redden over the smallest things Dream did. He loved when Dream flirted with him, sometimes wishing it were real...
"Earth to Gogy!!"
George snapped back into reality. He buried his face in his blanket, trying to hide the fact he was clearly blushing.
"Aww, Gogy, there's no need to cover up your beautiful faceee." Dream took the blanket from him and lifted his chin with his thumb and index finger, suddenly observing him.
George jerked back, and got up.
Dream's eyes widened in surprise.
George felt the anxiety build up inside of him. "Drop it, Dream."
As much as George wanted to constantly talk to his crush, he was mad at him. After all, it felt like Dream was only playing with his feelings, and George didn't want to fall for him harder than he already had.

"O-oh, okay.." Dream frowned, but got up as well.
"Are you hungry?" George asked as he walked into the kitchen, trying to change the subject.
