"Hunt the White Whale?" Ella asked in disbelief, then added, "You already lost once"

"And we will kill it this time," Liam answered.

Ella looked towards Lucas looking for support, "I'm with him, I want to kill that whale"

Then she glanced at Lena, who just averted her eyes from Ella, trying not to get involved with this conversation.

"You two must be kidding me, we are in the middle of an exam, and we need to defeat the Ground folk"

Liam smiled and shook his head, "Professor Selina also told us that if we kill all the five grade 5 beasts the exam will be finished"

Ella wanted to argue back, but she had nothing to say that could turn the argument in her favor.

All she could say was, "But then we won't win the exam"

It was the only thing that she thought, but Liam finished the conversation by saying:

"I don't care about winning the exam, I'm an ascender, and I'll do my duty to kill the monsters and protect the people"

Ella couldn't argue against that, so she only sighed, "Fuck it, I'm in"

They all laughed and then Liam said, "I need to go, Lucas, can you prepare everything?"

"Yeah"

What Lucas truly wanted to say was 'prepare what?' but he decided that it would be better not to ask, because he knows that Liam himself doesn't know.

"Thank you" Liam answered and left the place.

He made his way through the place without actually knowing where he's going, he went down the stairs and found himself on the first floor, and there was only one person there.

Rizen looked towards Liam and said, "You finally woke up, pretty boy"

"Who are you?"

"Rizen"

"I see, do you know where that guy with green eyes and glasses went?"

"Why would I know? look for him yourself" Rizen said, took a donut that was on the table and left the place.

Liam frowned watching Rizen, then he also left the place and saw the city for the first time. The boy was left in awe. It's the first time he's seen something like this, he went to very few big cities, but this one is much more incredible than all of them to the boy.

As he walked through the city he noticed many eyes on him, but one that brought his attention the most was of a little boy pointing at him as he talked with his mother. Liam was not bothered by it, in fact he approached the son and mother and kneeled in front of the kid.

"My name is Liam, what's yours?"

"Mark," The kid answered, holding tightly to his mother.

"Want to see something cool?" Liam asked.

The kid shyly nodded. Then, using a bit of his magic, Liam created white flames with his hands and showed them to the kid, whose eyes widened in amazement. Liam then put his other hand inside the flame and took it out, showing that there was no harm.

The kid, seeing this, wanted to try it too. Before his mother could stop him, he put his hand on the fire and closed his eyes in fear. But after a few seconds, he opened it again, feeling no pain. Instead.

"It's warm" the kid exclaimed excitedly, "Mom, it's warm" The kid began to laugh as he continued playing with the white flames.

"These flames only hurt bad children, but not you, because you are one of the kindest kids that I've ever met"

With Liam's explanation the kid nodded shyly because of the compliment, and Liam laughed not realizing that people started surrounding them watching that scene.

Then Liam looked at the kid and asked, "Hey Mark, did you see any guy around my age with green eyes and glasses walking here?"

The kid shook his head, but the mother answered, "I saw a boy like you described, he entered that shop a few minutes ago" she said as she pointed towards a nearby shop.

Liam smiled, "Thank you"

Then he turned off his flames and got up, but before he could leave, Mark asked:

"Can you let me play with those flames another time?"

"Of course, next time, I'll show you something even cooler"

The kid laughed excitedly as he told his mother about it, even though she heard herself, Liam laughed at that and then said goodbye and left towards the shop.

Entering the shop he saw Ian standing at the checkout discussing with the owner of the shop. Ian was carrying a lot of boxes and other items in his hands, so Liam approached him as Ian finished talking with the owner. And before Ian could notice, Liam took a few of the boxes.

"Let me help you," Liam said.

Ian was surprised to see him there, "It's you, uhh…"

"Liam, my name is Liam, and you?"

"Ian"

"Ian, it's a pleasure meeting you"

"Yeah, sure"

They left the shop carrying the boxes and started walking back to the building they were living in.

"What are these boxes for?"

"Ingredients to make potions"

"I see, talking about potions, I wanted to thank you"

"It was nothing"

"No, you saved my life, I want to thank you"

"You're being too dramatic, It's not like you were going to die anyway"

"Still, you saved me, and I want to thank you"

"Well, if you want to thank me, you can do it with money"

Liam was shocked at first, but then he chuckled, "I don't know how much money I would need to pay you"

"Probably more than you can afford"

"Yeah, I have no money on me, but how about this, I'll be owing you a favor, if you ever need something, you can tell me"

Ian then took the opportunity, and asked, "What are you planning to do now?"

"I'll hunt the White Whale"

"Isn't that dangerous?"

"Yes"

"Haven't you lost once already?"

"I did"

Ian then glanced at him and said, "Well, do what you want"

Liam chuckled, "Many people would try stopping me"

"Why would I try to stop you? If you get injured once again, I'll heal you with my potion, and I bet others will also be injured, and I'll charge all of you money. It's easy profit"

Liam frowned hearing that, "That's a very questionable action"

"That's why you are poor"

Liam couldn't argue against that.

Their conversation ended and they reached the building, Liam left the boxes in Ian's room and Ian locked himself in that room saying that he needs to work, then as Liam was walking through the corridors, he heard someone calling his name.

"Liam!" Emily shouted in the distance.

He turned around and saw his friend running towards him, "What happened?" he asked.

But Liam was not prepared for her answer.

"Julie is going to kill the Sky people leader"
