2 Arrival

A beam of light, or... something bright, flashed across my face, why am I narrating myself? Great question! The voice told me that if I wanted, I'd be a book in a version of earth, but enough fourth wall breaking, promise it won't happen again, let's get back to the story.

I felt the floor beneath me, I looked down and saw a glowing circle beneath me, I bent down and yelled a cliché phrase "transmute!", of course, nothing happened until a voice, a different one, it sounded robotic, a girls voice, said "gained [transmute (1)] skill, mana required for use, 20. The current mana of person is 100, which is the average amount for people of this world." "What the fu-" I replied but was cut off by the voice again "you have reached the maximum amount of exp required for a level up.... you are now level 2, giving stats"

Name: ???

Str:50 (avg)

Sp:50 (avg)

End:50 (avg)

Mp:100 (avg)

Skill points: 10

Summon shards:20

I looked at my stats, apparently magic was double as an average, probably because of the casting cost, natural selection at its best, he asked in his head "what do I do with the skill points?" The voice responded almost immediately "skill points are used to gain skills of different levels, the more skill points you use the more powerful the skill will be when bought, you can also evolve a level 1 skill with 20 skill points, it goes up by intervals of ten." I thought for a bit and remembered an all useful skill "is a skill called identify?" "Yes. Would you like to purchase it for 10 sp?" I replied with a simple "yes" and the voice let me know "you have gained [identify (1)], mana cost,1. No exp was gained because of the skill being bought, the use of this skill en masse can cause headaches and head pain be careful with the use of this skill in crowds." I then considered the summon shards "what do I do with these shards?" The voice answered in a condescending tone "these shards are used to summon creatures since you have been summoned you gain 20 shards instead of the average 1 shard, you have a choice of making a sentient being or a slave, 50 are needed for summoning." I considered this when I'm able to summon I'll learn more about it.

When the light cleared I was in a room with an armed knight from their looks and a man in robes, he looked aged, he was clearly young but the stress of something caused aging lines to appear, I got off my summoning platform walking over to him, I looked around him and realized he was a king, his eyes were filled with sorrow, I could tell he was a good king, burn marks were on his hands, slash marks on his face, he had done a fair share of battles, either war or cruelty's that he regrets, I noticed the guards walking over to me coming back from my boldness, they grabbed me and dragged me back to the platform and yelled at me, it wasn't English, but I understood, probably my language comprehension "kneel peasant scum, you are in the face of a king, apologize!" A notification sounded off in my head, I'll name it Siri, after a certain phone assistance "you have learned the language of emanel, one of the 200 languages of this world,175 of these are minor slang languages." All of a sudden my head was filled with words and I understood all of them, if my skill was lower I might've only understood most or none at all, I looked at the king he looked apologetic himself, I never liked the idea of a monarchy so I stood tall if my educated hunch was right this kingdom was corrupt with a good king, as a wise book once said "kings need people" so I stood tall, didn't kneel and yelled, " I have come from a world of government, not kings, deal with it" this was, of course, from the language I learned just moments ago. The knights were clearly appalled but they quickly regained their composure and walked towards me, smiles spread across their faces, I glanced behind me, seeing one guard look around not sure what to do. When they got close enough to me they grabbed me and held me still, I was trying to stay calm, my mind was off to the world of oh crap, at the last second the king held up his hand and shouted, "ENOUGH" the guards clearly were unhappy, having their fun ruined, but I didn't care, and a notification sounded off in my head "gained (tactical thinking [1]), this skill is gained when a plan made from a guess is successful, this is a neutral skill, active at all time or on command, would like to set to automatic, or on command?" I thought for a couple of seconds and chose "automatic unless said."

I was snapped out of my thoughts when the king tapped on my shoulder and motioned me to follow him, which I did.

....

The king had seen this strange man shout his opinion and put his life on the line, from a guess of the king's personality, this man would be useful to abolish these cruel rules in this nation.
