¬ FASHIRE

"I doubt there would be any use in telling you that," I said, escorting Maybelle out of my study and locking the door behind us.

The red card was in my coat back in my sleeping chamber, I would have to hand it to her when we get there.

"And what is that supposed to mean, Fashire?"

"Everyone that has interacted with—No," I corrected myself with a subtle shake of my head. "That girl was a servant in Lorn's castle, and when I revealed the veneer she used to conceal…" I wrinkled my nose as a snear worked its way across my face.

"What's wrong?" Maybelle frowned.

It was odd. I have had no problem explaining what I noticed about the matter, especially when relaying it to the Queen or Lorn… Come to think of it, I had never really described what happened in regards to the girl in such detail. I could if u tried like now, but it seemed very difficult to say something so simple.
