3 Chapter 3 Willow Sweet Willow

I sat there not thinking about my own life, just the thought of blood, guts, and Dawns screams for help. I felt helpless and didn't know if I should let others be around me after that. I knew that everyone else seen my pain. But when I heard that we were in Willow Springs. My blood turned ice cold with guilt. Would his family be upset with me or are they gone too. Would they blame me for his death?

"Like?" Hayhay tried to snap me out of my thoughts. "We are at the school!"

"Voting its like every other place in Missouri," I sighed.

"Yeah," she frowned, "Everyone is gone, but those things wondering around."

"Think we should just call them Zombies at this point." I smiled.

"Agreed." she replied and went back to check on Marry. She wasn't the same after we left. All she does is rock back and forth with this dead look. I wonder if she drank something at prom, if so we should stick with bottle water till then.

When we looked at the school. It was broken down and seemed like blood was all over the ground. I wondered if it was safe to stay here or to go somewhere else. But before I asked if this was good idea. Ethan and Ace came back onto the bus. Saying that the school was safe for now. Knowing that we should have one building fortify.

I didn't even have to ask Ace if he was worried about his girlfriend and the baby on the way. But he acted like he wanted to leave and find her. Knowing that he could die out there without having someone with him. Lost in thought as I tried to think of the best way to live. We could stay in the gym by the elementary for a while. Till we had time to prepare to go to West Plains. I hope that Hanna was okay. I don't need to lose Ace by madness or both of them at the same time.

"Alright," I spoke, "we should make a base in the gym for now."

"Why the gym?" Colt asked.

"We can able to get to bus easier! And there should be drinks and food as well." I replied, "But we have to block up the windows and make exit plans."

"Leave the us to barricade the windows and doors," Jade hoped in.

"I'll see if there is a map of the building," I smiled as well started to figure out what was the best plan of action. We still had to figure out where to sleep and how we were going to our home for clothes, blankets, food, and other supplies for a couple of weeks or even months. The chances of having guns at home was more likely than finding them in town. Most of the places were ransacked for the survival of the human race.

But I had to figure where would a map of the gym would be at. The only two places was the band and choir room, since gym classes didn't keep one very close. The only good thing was that we had bathrooms, showers for both boys and girls, and rooms to either sleep or plan. But before I could do anything, Ace was pushing his way to leave.

"I'm not leaving her out there!" he screamed.

"I don't think it safe for you to go by yourself," James replied by pulling him back inside.

"What's going on here?" I asked.

"Ace wanted to go get his girlfriend," James sighed.

"Ace its not safe to go yet and we don't know if the cars have gas in them," I patted him on the shoulder, "But we won't leave her alone for too long."

"Okay..." he said.

"Now we have a base to build and stuff to get," I smiled.

"How are we...." Ben started to asked.

"The bus is the best bet we have," I replied, "but its going to take at least three people."

"I think you, Ace and Ethan should go," Jade answered in the the hall.

"Sounds okay, but these two are going to need weapons of some sort," I replied.

"Theirs a couple of bats in the closet," James replied.

"Good idea," I said heading to grab them, "but I want to windows to be covered before dark."

They agreed that we should have something to keep zombies at bay. For at least a while, till we could reach the bus again. But we don't know if the bus have fuel to make it to the houses of every person that was there. So I grabbed some paper and told them what was the most important for us to grab. When they were done we could leave for the country side and then head back for town. Hopefully stopping by at the Gator Station for gas.

I just don't want to lose anyone else out there. Since we had already lose one and planned to make a grave for his behave. Zombies ripped him apart, but I'm not sure if he turned or stayed dead. But one question was in my head "are we sure we killed them in the first place".
