32 Archive IV: About Lord Dominion's System III (ZOOM)

A critical part of our sovereign god, Lord Dominion's, System is his ability to see things from a far distance; this enables him to oversee his domain in the comfort of his walls and to ensure the safety of his people, his army, and his land. This power has been given the name ZOOM.

Uttering the ZOOM command makes it possible for Lord Dominion and his chosen Praeceptor to observe an object, a person, a place, or all three simultaneously so that they could adequately strategize a critical part of their strategy. Once the command has been spoken out loud, the usual mana-made blue textbox will pop up on the upper-right side of Lord Dominion or his chosen Praeceptor's vision to show the zoomed-in screen without compromising the ability to observe their surroundings.

However, the ZOOM command alone is often inadequate on its own, for the ZOOM command will only follow Lord Dominion's eyes. To focus the ZOOM screen on a particular area, Lord Dominion or his chosen Praeceptor must first utter the HOLD ZOOM command after the ZOOM command. This will ensure that the ZOOM screen will only show the area that Lord Dominion or his chosen Praeceptor wanted to see.

As long as Lord Dominion or his Chosen Praeceptor is not a hundred kilometers away from what they zoomed in, they can continue observing that particular area even if they're lying on a bed somewhere in the Keep. That screen on their upper-right side will only disappear if they repeat the ZOOM command. If they want to observe a different area closer, they would just need to utter ZOOM 2, then 3, then 4, then 5. The ZOOM command can only show five zoomed-in screens at a time. To remove all ZOOM screens, Lord Dominion or his chosen Praeceptor should utter CANCEL ZOOM. If they do that, all of their ZOOM screens will disappear. If they want to remove a specific ZOOM screen instead of all of them, they just command it specifically by canceling the ZOOM screen they wanted to remove. For example, if Lord Dominion or his chosen Praeceptor wished to remove the second ZOOM screen, they should say CANCEL ZOOM 2. As long as Lord Dominion or his chosen Praeceptor has enough mana, the ZOOM screen/s can be open for as long as they need. However, our sovereign god must be wary, for each ZOOM screen depletes ten mana per hour.

Once the ZOOM command has been used, it will show a default screen; what the default screen would show depends on Lord Dominion or his chosen Praeceptor's intent. However, the default screen is not the one and only way to monitor a zoomed-in area. The System most definitely has ways to control the zoom. To do this, the ZOOM command user must pinch their thumb, middle finger, and ring finger together with their forefinger and pinky finger raised. Praeceptor Aleph has very recently called out how similar this hand gesture is to the head of a dog, a very appropriate and valid assessment to make. Thus, with the ever so powerful glory of our sovereign god's System, we decided to call this hand gesture the "ZOOM dog."

The ZOOM dog has two great uses. If the user wants to make the ZOOM surveillance closer, they just need to lower their forefinger and pinky finger; if they wish to widen what they're seeing, they just need to open their three other fingers. If they want to return to the default, they just need to shape their fingers into the ZOOM dog.

And that concludes our mini-lecture on Lord Dominion's imperative ZOOM command.
