1 A White Swan, Part 1

In the afternoon; on the beginning of September 2017,

Time flew so fast. It was two months since Lucky had opened the coffee shop at the small building he lived in. The vintage ceiling lamps were decorated in the main room. Somehow, the interior of the coffee shop looked so classic. That felt nostalgic. There was a veranda beside the shop for the customers who wanted to enjoy the fresh air or smoking. Also, the classic mailbox beside the entrance door looked still used.

Since the coffee shop had opened, many philatelists came there and met Lucky for its business.

As Lucky gave the name for the coffee shop,

"Poststukken."

"Oh, guys. It's cloudy. Is it going to rain soon?"

Lucky, a messy black haired man wearing dark blue sweater was sitting on the bar stool. He stopped arranging his stamp album, then looked up at the cloudy sky from the window. He sighed, leaned his head against the wall. And then, he saw Kelana still sat in front of the entrance door and sniffing his own dark red scarf.

In these three days, Lucky found Kelana doing those same things in front of his eyes. Sitting in front of entrance door, then sniffing his own scarf. It seemed that Kelana waited for something.

A sign of something happened? Maybe. But, Lucky ignored and let him do whatever he wanted.

He grabbed a calendar on the coffee counter and looked it properly. It was September 1, 2017. He put it back and start a little conversation with the one of his employee.

"Hey, Patra. Do you know what's a good thing to do on the cloudy weather?"

"Eating rawon with extra sauces?" Patra, a golden brown haired with short ponytail man who was a barista in this coffee shop answered the question. Lucky chuckled, then he prepared himself for relaxing.

"That's good too, but I prefer to take a nap like this..." Lucky closed his eyes; and slowly, he fell asleep.

"Man... if you want to take a nap, go to your bed. Don't sleep in the crowd like this." Patra tried to wake him up while brewing a cup of rose tea for their customers, but it seemed Lucky was still enjoying his sleeping time.

"No, thank you. I'm just going to waste my energy if I go to the second floor, so let me sleep here," Lucky responded him and went back to sleep.

"You think you're a cat?" Patra asked.

"Yup. I'm the same species as Kelana. Meow, meow, meow," Lucky muttered. He looked like a cat right now. "You got a problem?"

Looking at his friend, Patra shook head. "Did you sleep well last night?"

"This two months since I opened the coffee shop, my sleeping time is getting worse. I must finish arranging these stamps before my mood goes somewhere. Ha ha ha..." Lucky painfully laughed.

Patra sighed. He served a cup of cinnamon tea for Lucky.

"It's hard after leaving your house and living alone, right. Here, drink it. This will reduce your drowsiness."

Lucky opened his eyes. He drank the tea that Patra had just made. It tasted better for him.

"The skill of a barista isn't in doubt, huh." Lucky smirked.

"Aw, it means I'm so cool, right?" Patra flipped his hair like a model.

"Up to you, Patra," Endah, a medium dark brown haired woman who was a cashier in the coffee shop responded while giving an order list to a wavy dark brown haired pastry chef named Virza. "Two cups of klepon parfait," she said.

"Roger, Sister!" Virza answered enthusiastically.

"Virza, you looks so shiny. What's going on? Oh, did you get a new lover?" Lucky smirked at Virza.

"W-what? I-it's not like that..." Virza got blushed.

Suddenly, the rain dropped.

The surroundings got wet.

A rain of September was about to start.

Kelana was still in front of the entrance door. Lucky finished arranging the stamps, then closed the albums carefully.

"I finally did it!" he clapped and exclaimed. "Next, I want to write the descriptions for them all. Then, go to sleep!"

"Eh, should the stamp album have the description?" Endah asked curiously.

"Nice question, Sis. Many philatelist do that," Lucky showed her several examples of stamp album layout. "They make it look like a catalogue, scrapbook, or thesis. But, I want to write the story behind these stamps. Like a journal, maybe."

"Wow. Is there someone who makes it like a thesis? Sounds incredible."

"Yeah, you can find creativity there."

Lucky looked at the calendar again; counted the date. He sighed.

"Anyway, guys... my class starts on the next week. I guess, I should find another one to help us working here."

"Eh, you passed the entrance test at postgraduate program?" Patra asked.

"Uh-oh. That's why I need another one to work here. Even if it's only a part-time, it's alright," Lucky said and counted again the schedule. "My classes start every Monday to Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. That's the same time as the shop opens."

"Bah, it sounds terrible."

Lucky sighed. "I wish I have a humanoid robot to keep my shop... or... maybe, Kelana will change into human..."

"Don't forget that it's reality," Endah said while counting the orders. Lucky heard that, and he felt in pain.

"If you say like that, you'll never get a handsome foreigner boyfriend like you wish, Sis." Lucky smirked.

"The hell I think about boyfriend, tsk." Endah clicked her tongue, looked away from him and continue to count the orders. It made three of them laugh.

It was still raining. The customers enjoyed to look up at the raindrops.

Kelana opened his eyes, his ears were twitching.

He smelled something from the entrance door. It meant that Kelana's instinct said there would be something unexpected happened. He suddenly stroked Lucky's leg.

"Ah—" Lucky was shocked. He looked at his beloved Kelana hardly stroked his leg. Lucky sighed.

"Oh, it's you. What's wrong, my love?"

Suddenly, someone that wasn't usual opened the entrance door.

"Meow! Meow!" It seemed Kelana wanted to tell him there would be someone coming here.

Right. They had a guest. A foreigner.

A wavy light blonde haired man. He looked totally pretty. His bangs covered his right eye. Only his left blue eye was seen, and a mole under the eye. He wore black hoodie, black mask that covered his mouth, and also gray jogger pants.

Even if he looks so pretty, he gave off a mysterious vibe with his looks.

The four of them was surprised. They felt something unexpected. Just then, they talked about a handsome foreigner boyfriend to Endah. It was really a coincidence meeting a foreigner in this coffee shop.

Kelana jumped onto the empty bar stool beside Lucky; he sat down. It seemed Kelana focused and stared at that light blonde haired man.

With his presence, Kelana feel like something strange was about to happen.
