6 Chapter 6: monster among spiders (Edited)

(Weeks pass)

I'm on my way to midtown high crowds of students walk alongside me I'm wearing a dark green hoodie with the hood up to cover my face to make sure I wasn't recognized as the monster boy witch is still the talk of the town as my interview had been leaked to the public and Zilla became the nonofficial name of the friendly monster.

As I was on my way to my homeroom class I spot a group of teenagers that catch my attention two boys one caucasian the other African American and three girls all caucasian one blond one redhead and a girl with silver hair the gang is Peter Parker(Spider-man), Miles Morales(Kid arachnid), Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy(Ghostspider), and Felicia Hardy (Blackcat).

As I make my way over to my locker I can't help but overhear their conversation thanks to the monster sense I get from my monsters when they're selected which their abilities stake with my human ones so I can improve myself and my monsters at the same time so right now I'm running with my new monster wyvern.

Miles: "I still can't believe something like that exists I mean what happens if it attacks the city," he said far more curiosity and excitement in his voice than fear.

Gwen: "Well the averages and justice league would come in and stop it of course," she said with certainty.

MJ: "But why would it attack the city from the leaked information from that kid we know it doesn't attack humans it seems friendly sense it saved him and all the other survivors," she said putting her books away.

Felicia: "And it didn't attack Shield or the heroes when it ran away so I think the red is right don't bother it and it won't bother us.

Parker: "Yeah but it does help to be prepared does it," he asked, and as this conversation is happening the bell rang indicating that there are only five minutes left until classes start.

I make my way to the class where I meet the teacher who is shocked to learn that the monster boy is in his class, but he gains his composure again quickly and tells me to pick a seat as I do guess who else is there Yep the gang again what are the odds.

A few minutes pass and Mr. Cross introduced himself and calls out other students to introduce themselves as well and tell them about themselves and can receive questions from other students until it was my turn.

Cross: "...And for our final introduction Max Draco" he introduces and as I stand I hear the murmurs of the class and feel their eyes on me.

"Hello everyone," I say and a moment later gasps and wide eyes all lock on to me as I stand and bow.

Student: "You're the monster kid!!!" one student yells out and it takes a moment for Mr. Cross to get control of the classroom.

*rubs back of head* "The one and only," I say and let out a nervous chuckle.

Every student in the class bombards me with questions about Zilla until the teacher sees me becoming more uncomfortable and soon he ends the student's chatter with a book dropped onto his desk gaining everyone's attention from me back to him

Cross: "As you can see all these questions are just making mr. Draco uncomfortable and that shall not be tolerated so I must insist on one question at a time," he said leaving no room for argument.

Everyone quiets down and it looks like no one is going to ask another question until one redhead raises her hand

MJ: "I have a question" I turn to see Mary Jane with her hand up looking at me with interest written all across her face.

"Sure hit me," I say trying not to ogle her.

MJ: "Why the name Zilla?" she asked and I shrugged.

"Cause It just seemed to fit at the time," I said and after that, I sat down and continue with my day but soon homeroom is over, and the news that the monster kid goes to midtown high spread throughout the school and spills onto social media and then makes it's way to news outlets.

After the day's end, I try to ignore all the side glances and whispers as I walk by until I finally had enough of the noise of my human life so I decided to today I'm going for a walk and a swim.
