43 Chapter 43 Prince of monsters vs God of the wind
POV 3rd person
The two titan roars deafen those nearby and while those who can record or stream the battle all around the world, people were watching and waiting for the first move to be made and it was Zilla who made it.
The giant lizard roared before jumping into the air far higher than something that big should be capable of and landed on top of the bird, who upon seeing the jump tried to fly away but it was too late as Zilla landed on Quetzalcoatl causing to screech out in pain but, then it began to suck in a large amount of air then unleashed powerful wind that sent Zilla sprawled onto the ground and allowing Quetzalcoatl to get into the air.
Zilla stud up and watched as Quetzalcoatl began again to suck in air but this time like a bullet leaving the chamber of a gun a gray like cluster left its mouth heading for Zilla who quickly dodged and as the grey sphere hit it was a good thing he did. as it made contact on the ground the sphere doubled in size creating what looked like a localized hurricane in the area it landed leaving the area clear of all vegetation and a small crater.
Quetzalcoatl continued to unleash the Grey spheres while zilla dodge until Quetzalcoatl needed to suck in more air. as it did Zilla unleashed his atomic breath on Quetzalcoatl who began to dodge and weave avoiding the flame until its face was struck by missiles by five passing jets that caused it to get distracted and get blasted by atomic fire only for the flame to be cut off as Zilla was suddenly bombarded by helicopters and tanks.
POV 3rd person
Location: X-Apartments
Kurt: "what are they doing attack the bird, not the lizard!" Kurt about jumped up when the military forces began to attack Zilla as well as Quetzalcoatl but he wasn't the only one.
Evan: "They couldn't do anything about one of them and now they're picking a fight with two that makes no sense"
POV 3rd person
Location: S.H.E.I.L.D HQ
Nick: I'm aware two monsters are duking it out in your nation's borders sir but...I know sir but I just don't see the point in attacking both creatures when you could do nothing against one..." listening in on the conversation was Natasha who leaned against the wall of the room waiting to give a report, but she also watched that Battle going on between the giant monsters. then the door opened and walked in Hawkeye who upon seeing Nick Fury on the phone came to lean next to the black widow.
Clint: "So how are talks going?" at the same time Nick looked like he wanted to punch something but his words were calm as he spoke to the President of Mexico.
Natasha: "Slow and bogged down by national interest and bureaucracy" Clint looked at her like 'simple answer, please' "Mexico wants its own monster like the United States"
Clint: "We don't have a monster we have a wild animal that's protecting its territory!" Clint pinched the bridge of his nose and Natasha nodes her head
Natasha: "that's not how others see it even some political groups want to and I quote 'put the beast on a leash' end quote" Clint sighed and wiped his face with his hand. but then all attention went to the Battle.
Zilla after being bombarded by tanks and helicopters didn't attack back but dug underground so fast that the military was still firing where it once was.
Clint: "Since when could it do that?" he asked to no one in particular and all Natasha could do was nodded her head even the conversation between Nick Fury and the president stopped at this sudden action.
POV 3rd person
Location: Southern Mexico
The sudden disappearance of one titan left the military only one target to fire at as helicopters unleashed what's left of their payloads and tanks firing at the large target causing Quetzalcoatl to fly lower and target the ground forces and was about to unleash its breath attack.
But suddenly the ground shook and ruptured to reveal that Zilla was now in front of the military and in the path of a low flying Quetzalcoatl who upon seeing Zilla tried to fly up to safety but to no avail, as Zilla unleash his atomic breath-stopping the charging Quetzalcoatl and pushing it back as it screeched in pain before falling to the ground.
POV 3rd person
Location: Baxter building
Reed: "Remarkable for it to be this intelligent this throw my past theory into the trash" shock was all that was in Reed's voice and face but he wasn't the only one as Susan Storm and Ben Grimm were in the same state but johnny was more disappointed that the battle was over as he had just got the popcorn just right.
Johnny: "what do you mean?" he asked with a mouth full of popcorn causing Susan to facepalm at her brother's question.
Ben: "Kid the lizard just performed the worlds biggest Rope-a-Dope" ben tried to but it in terms he understood it but johnny only gave him a confused look.
Susan: "Zilla made the military use all its ammo on Quetzalcoatl causing the bird to put all its attention on the military so it would be closer to the ground and easier for him to attack it."
Johnny: "The lizard just used the military as a distraction and bait just how smart is this thing?!" that was the question of the hour and only one response could be made at the time
Reed: "far smarter than assumed" his tone serious "we need to contact nightfury" but what happens next would only have them seeking him more for answers.
POV 3rd person
Location: Southern Mexico
Quetzalcoatl got up and screeches in pain it's beautiful wings are now grey and dark from the atomic fire and some spots on it still had a green fire burning.
As it stood it found zilla standing over it looking at it growling, Quetzalcoatl raised its wings, and around the world, many thought the battle would resume only for that thought you leave their mind as Quetzalcoatl brought its body down to Zilla's feet and bowed and after a second a Roar could be heard that some claim they heard from a continent away.
