3 Exposing the Truth

Tommy had been leading a very fulfilling life lately. He spent his days running around the city with Thea and engaged in intense physical activities with Laurel at night. There was no energy left for hanging out at bars or nightclubs.

Laurel may have harbored a vengeful mindset due to Oliver's involvement with her sister while they were dating, resulting in her sister's death. Unaware that her sister was still alive, she quickly became entangled with Tommy under his seduction.

While Tommy was saddened by the death of his friend, he felt no psychological pressure about taking over his friend's girlfriend. After all, Laurel was the future Black Canary, and she had quite the stamina when she got wild! After a few days of wild exertion, Tommy had lost quite a bit of weight

Thea had a rough idea of what had happened, but she deeply disapproved of the act of crying over a deceased friend's photo while embracing the friend's woman. So, seeing Tommy showing no signs of choking, she continued to pull him and ran through the city, determined to ensure that Malcolm would be informed as long as there was a single informant in the city!

Today, Thea changed out of her feminine suit and wore a sleeveless vest. She had no choice; the weather was getting hotter, and she could accept showing her arms.

Looking at the bulge in her chest, a cruel fact was evident – she could never become a man again! Fortunately, this body wasn't the type with overwhelming features. Currently, it only reached a B-cup level, and although it might grow a bit more in the future, it would still be within the normal range. It wouldn't cause others to have nosebleeds during physical activity, which was good! If she ended up with two basketballs, she would have to give up the path of martial arts.

Hearing someone knocking, lost in thought, she opened the door and was surprised to see a middle-aged man standing there.

"Hey, Thea, looks like you've recovered well!" Although the middle-aged man was very serious, he still managed a smile.

'Wow, finally, the big boss is here!' Thea had been exhausting herself running around with Tommy these past few days, but there had been no progress. Sometimes she even suspected whether Malcolm was at home at all!

She had practiced this scene many times in private, so she calmly said, "Uncle Merlyn, good morning," which was a completely ordinary gesture that fit their past interactions. Malcolm didn't say much, just smiled and nodded as he entered the house at Thea's invitation.

The plan of many days was about to come to fruition today. Pretending to watch TV, Thea saw Malcolm entering her mother's room out of the corner of her eye. She immediately picked up a teacup, took off her shoes, and quietly approached. Since she didn't know the martial arts hierarchy in this world or Malcolm's level of training with Ra's al Ghul, she was afraid of being detected.

"Hey, Moira, you look beautiful," Malcolm's tone revealed that he was in a good mood. This man hadn't been happy for a single day since his wife died, so being able to speak so cheerfully was already the limit.

"Mr. Merlyn, what are you here for?" Every time they contacted each other before, they met on some small road or mountain top. An open visit like this was extremely rare.

Malcolm didn't directly answer, just smiled and poured himself a drink.

"Do you know, Moira, besides my wife, you're one of the few women in the world who can still make me feel something. I originally planned to marry you, but I found something interesting!"

Moira seemed to completely ignore the mention of marriage and stared at Malcolm, asking, "What's the matter? Our agreement is already fulfilled. You can't interfere with my life anymore!"

"How do you feel about Tommy and Thea? Isn't it quite a coincidence? You have only one daughter, and I have only one son! There are no obstacles ahead of us! The Merlyn Group and the Queen Group can establish a closer relationship!"

Outside the door, Thea immediately knew that Malcolm didn't understand the situation. Moira hadn't told him the truth. Indeed, beautiful women could deceive people. Even she, a cunning old lady, was good at deceiving people. It seemed that men were always confused in this regard, even the most cunning ones!

Moira exploded upon hearing this proposal, "No, absolutely not!"

This strong reaction was somewhat beyond Malcolm's expectations. For so many years, besides Ra's al Ghul who scared him to the point of peeing his pants, no one had ever spoken to him with such a high volume. Given his usual character, if he had a bow and arrow in hand, he might have shot an arrow at her.

Moira also realized that her voice was a bit loud, but she still glared and said, "No, I refuse."

"My request cannot be refused, Moira Queen." Thoughts of anything besides his wife, the woman he loved the most, had long since disappeared. When it came to staring contests, Malcolm had never been afraid.

Outside the door, Thea knew that the show was about to begin. She raised the teacup high. This was a classic scene from TV dramas – smashing a teacup when the truth was revealed! She wondered if foreigners in this world had ever watched such TV dramas. Unfortunately, the floor was wooden, so the effect was a bit lacking. Hopefully, Malcolm's mind would be in turmoil enough to hear it.

"Listen to me," Moira was also intimidated by Malcolm's wide-eyed stare. She awkwardly grabbed a bottle and took a gulp, frantically thinking about how to explain.

Seeing her unusual behavior, Malcolm also sensed that something was wrong. With his years of experience, he was adept at reading people's expressions. However, he wasn't in a hurry. He sat down slowly, preparing to listen to her explanation.

After much consideration, Moira couldn't come up with a good reason to stop this. Her husband and son had been silently sent to their deaths, so it made no sense to resist a marriage alliance for her daughter to this extent. If she didn't agree, Malcolm would definitely harm Thea. It would be a tragedy for the family.

After weighing her options, she realized that this secret was known only to two people before. It had become her sole secret after her husband's death. Now, revealing the truth would turn it from one person's secret to two people's secret. She could accept that as long as Thea herself didn't know!

"Thea is your daughter," she whispered softly. Closing her eyes, she sank deeply into the sofa as if she had unloaded a heavy burden.

Outside the door, Thea couldn't see Malcolm's expression and was a little afraid that he might be too shocked to hear properly. But the arrow had been drawn and had to be released. She quickly smashed the teacup on the floor with a bang. Unfortunately, the wooden floor didn't produce the desired effect. She hoped that Malcolm would be able to hear it amidst his mental turmoil.

Upon hearing the noise outside, Malcolm, being a top graduate of Nanda Parbat, swiftly reacted despite feeling a bit dizzy. He rushed to the door and pulled it open, looking at Thea with a dumbfounded expression. Even such a composed boss-level figure was a bit stunned, feeling awkward and not knowing what to say.
