12 CHAPTER 12: MISS MARCIAN- MEGAN

P.O.V ROBIN

The man of wrath rips a large part of the ground and throws it toward Speedy, Aqualad covers it by turning his whips into a kind of very sharp sword that cut the stone into two parts.

Speedy launches a smoke arrow to distract him, giving us time to gather all of us.

"The cave is perfect it has everything the team will need, Robin already checked the system, and kid flash did he explore the whole cave there is room for everyone."

"The system is just right for undercover missions, plus Batman left us some equipment needed for the missions, almost like its spy stuff."

"Expect to see Superboy and Miss Martian, but watch out I saw her first."

As we were talking, the dealer comes out of the smoke layer with another big chunk of dirt just ripped out of the ground and throws it towards us.

Aqualad reacts in time and reshapes his weapons into two sledgehammers and smashes him to pieces without any problem.

Speedy launches a few explosive arrows straight at the dealer's chest, but they don't do anything to him, apparently, this man is very straight and it's obvious that he's very strong.

"Green Arrow shouldn't send boys to do men's work." Speedy reloads his bow with a different arrow, from the ones he had seen before, the dealer does nothing but stand still and spread his arms from side to side, almost in a provocative manner.

"Go ahead, shoot boy, or you don't have the guts to kill me."

Swiftly he fires, for a moment I think it was an arrow capable of killing him, but it wasn't something much smaller flies out of the arrow into the dealer's chest.

"High-density styrofoam arrow, cool, you should put it in your kit wonder boy."

"¿Speedy, are you in?"

Speedy turned his back and after a moment of silence decided to speak.

" I'll pass, I'm done with that arrow and the league telling me what to do, I don't need a babysitter let alone a club to hang out with other kids, your young justice league is a joke, an invention solely designed to keep you busy and in your place, and I want no part of that."

Silence floods the place after those cold words. Seconds later Speedy is gone and we take care of the arms dealer along with his gang.

P.O.V SUPERBOY

"Recognized Robin b01... kid Flash b03"

The voice reporting people entering the secret base either through the z-Tubes or through any of the entrances are very useful, at least it keeps us alert to any intruders not registered in the database.

"What if you asked him kaldur?"

"Yes, I already communicated..."

"And what did he say, that's what we're all supposed to be here for?"

"According to his report, he said he's arriving right now."

"So what are we waiting for, the last one to arrive is a rotten egg"

"Wally's still a kid"

"I think he's funny, so don't hang back, guys."

"¡No fair Martian girl, you can fly!"

The entrance one opens and a red tornado arrives moments later at the base, it is incredible to see that a robot can generate a tornado in such a controlled way, besides he can fly with them, incredibly, I also read a little about him in the archives, Red Tornado was created and sometime later he joined the league, although he had to stay deactivated so that later if he entered as one of the members of the league, to seem emotionally distant. I once heard Robin call him a "heartless machine" which is obvious since he is a robot.

"¡Red Tornado!"

"Greetings kid flash, also to you guys, girl, and dog, tell me, is there a reason you intercepted me outside the cave?"

"We were all hoping you had a mission for us, it's been a week now"

"Robin The assignment of missions is Batman's responsibility, You will be tested very soon, for the time being, enjoy each other's company."

"This team is not a social club, we are here to accomplish missions."

"You are right Aqualad it is not, but I have been told that social interaction is important to the formation of a team, perhaps you should keep busy familiarizing yourselves with the cave and its new members."

Red Tornado leaves entering the cave through the main entrance without another word, apparently, it didn't go well with the guy's plan.

"Acknowledged red tornado 16"

"Keeping busy, does he think we don't know what he's doing, if only I could hack into his database, but Batman won't let me."

"I'll find out."

Megan takes a few steps in front of us and extends her hand in the direction of a red tornado, if he really is able to read minds, I think he should be aware that he is a robot.

"Sorry there's nothing, Forget it's an inorganic machine I can't read its mind."

"But it was a good try, then .... ¿Do you know what I'm thinking now?"

"We all know what you're thinking wally, leave her alone."

"well I guess we'll visit the clubhouse for now, what do wally and Robin say?"

"I already explored the whole cave on the first day..."

"Then it's just us kaldur"

"well... superboy and I live here we can act as guides".

"I'm not good at being a guide, so don't look at me."

"then I'll be your guide, Megan welcomes you to our base in mount justice"

This girl is definitely very cheerful, she is always willing to do something for the team, even if she has been here for a short time.

"aren't you coming to wally, you heard Megan will be our guide, if you don't come Robin will take advantage".

"Shut up Kaldur, but... well now that I think about it that day I missed some areas to explore, besides a private excursion sounds like fun".

"What? She never said private, Team building, we'll all go".

"you just enjoy yourself kaldur, you don't have to be so serious."

"Well then I'll incite So this would be our front door, the cave is actually the whole mountain"

"Batman said Superman and green lantern deepened it and reinforced it in the early days of the league."

Just imagining two men doing all this work is incredible, definitely something otherworldly.

"So why did they abandon it for another base?"

"Well Superboy the thing is the location of the cave was in danger, So they made the hall of justice a distraction."

"Wow! So the villains know about the cave, we should be on alert!"

"Don't worry princess they know we know, so they won't think to look here."

"What wally means is that we're hiding in plain sight"

"That's much clearer, thank you, Robin."

It smells like burning, something is burning, and it doesn't seem to be an attack, the cave would have already warned, but apparently, no one else has noticed.

"Something is going on, it smells like burning."

Apparently, everyone was on guard, Robin at once started to check the cave data, and Kaldur took out his whips, I guess he is the most indicated for these cases.

"Ohh no, my cookies!"

Megan flies off, and a look of confusion and calmness is seen on each of our faces, after a pause where we all looked at each other we all decided to follow her, the smell led us to the kitchen, where Megan was already taking something out of the oven.

"I was testing the recipe for episode 17 of .... forget it."

"I bet they would have tasted great, he doesn't seem to mind."

Wally is eating those things that look like charcoal like they're the richest things on earth, I don't know if I admire it or it disgusts me, that's definitely not healthy.
