CHAPTER 11: MOUNT JUSTICE

It's been a few days since Batman gave us this place as a base for undercover operations, I have explored this mountain, it's bigger inside than it looks from the outside, and there are four ways in and out of the cave.

The first is the main entrance located at the base of the mountain, which leads into the forest. The second is the back entrance that faces the Rhode Island coast, and the third is through the bay door in the hangar that opens to the Atlantic Ocean.

I have tried to learn the locations, The fourth method is through one of the Zeta-Beam teleporter tubes, through which members of the Justice League and the Team can travel to and from various locations.

Besides, of course, there is a more residential area, the largest room is the multi-level hangar containing two more Zeta-Tubes and the cave's main generator, a fully equipped open kitchen, an eating area, a two-level library with reading tables and dozens of bookshelves, several rooms, quite similar in design, along a corridor, changing rooms, located between the exercise room and the showers, lounge area with couch and a large television. For treating injured limbs there is a room containing advanced medical equipment, including an MRI and X-ray.

The Mission room is the central chamber, with a holographic computer. It can also serve as a training area. The Mission Room also has two Zeta Tubes.

The cave also has a network of corridors, air vents, and secret passageways connecting many rooms.

Since I have some free time I take advantage of Megan being distracted with other things and go to the training room, I was reading the documents I managed to get from CADMUS.

The files say what I already knew, a clone created based on the genes of Superman, but, however, not only do I have that gene, I am also created based on another gene, I have genes of Lex Luthor a highly intelligent and analytical man must be equivalent to maintain a balance for the genes of Superman, also to create a balanced being, possessing both strength and intelligence above average.

The files don't say much more, what it says according to what I understood is that I am not as powerful as Superman because of my human side, which also causes me to not have the full extent of his powers.

I have been testing and practicing the last week, and I have discovered that the greatest qualities I have are super hearing, I can not fly, but I can jump very high and then there is the strength, a strength superior to any human being and I think also superior to some other beings from other planets.

I had a hard time adapting to the super hearing, sometimes loud sounds would hit me and disorient me, or even when Megan did many things at the same time it would generate an intense headache.

As for my strength, it has been easier to manage, it is not the same as my previous body, the maximum strength that I generated before is now a much lower strength, also my strength increases when I am angrier.

Krypto accompanied me during several pieces of training to discover what other abilities I have. I have tried flying, laser beams coming out of my eyes, x-ray vision, and finally today I tried ice breath, but none of them worked, I guess it is very real that my human part suppresses Superman's powers, so I can't use all of his powers.

I'll take a shower and rest a bit, not that I have much to do anyway, I think the guys will come tomorrow, so at least this place stops looking so empty, it reminds me of my home in my old life, but much bigger, with advanced technology, weapons and many things that I could never have in my past life, let alone the slightest chance of paying for them.

The water here is cold, although sometimes it is relaxing after training my body to adapt to it, it is still strange, Megan, Krypto and, we are the only three in such a big place, the boys don't come very often, they fulfill individual missions with their superiors, I think it is because they still don't trust me to do missions or, even if it is just to go shopping.

Krypto looks discouraged, I guess it's because Superman hasn't seen him since that day, what a hero that leaves his friends behind, besides I can't get that look he gave me out of my mind, I assumed that was the greatest hero of all he would understand my situation, but it wasn't like that.

Sometimes living with Miss Martian or Megan is uncomfortable, she is like a little girl very cheerful and restless, she is almost always flying from one side to the other, she watches TV and sometimes she cooks.

I guess she was left here to adapt or to keep an eye on me, it's strange to see people who are not from this planet, she's cute, and her hair is red, but she's still strange.

Red Tornado comes from time to time, I think when he doesn't have missions, his room is at the top of the mountain, and it's complicated to access there, even if I'm curious it's better not to be suspicious so they don't see me as the snoopy guy of the league.

How the previous days I could learn something new from this body, and little by little I will get used to it.

"Come Krypto let's go to sleep, tomorrow will be another day".

At least being with Krypto gives me peace of mind and I feel protected, in my previous life I never had a pet I guess that's why I have liked this dog so much affection.

The arms shipment is being carried out at the port of the city, apparently, everyone is hooded, except for their leader.

Speedy the green arrow apprentice, launches an explosive arrow in the middle of the traffickers loading one of the briefcases inside the truck.

The case opens as it falls to the ground and some of the modified weapons slide across the floor, the leader of the dealers, grabs one and points it at Speedy.

"You again, it's an insult to me that green arrow sent his assistant instead of him coming to capture me personally?"

The dealer starts firing shots while Speedy deftly dodges as he reloads his bow and fires an explosive arrow at the gun, disarming the dealer.

"do you know what a suit in my size costs shit boy, boys shoot that kid".

"kid Flash you know what to do"

"How orders boy wonder"

Wally takes care of the two dealers in the back, while I throw two of my birdarangs toward the guns of the two in front of the truck, their leader goes from making a surprised face to one that turns into an angry one in a matter of seconds.

"Hahahahaha, what's up dealer, weren't you expecting the boy wonder in this place?"

Aqualad lashes out with his whip at the two dealers I just disarmed, knocking them out and leaving them all on the ground, only the leader is now missing.
