On a plane, which was arriving in Greek airspace, a group of women were chatting as they let the autopilot take them to their destination. They were Diana, Mera, Fire, Ice, Katana and Doctor Light. Members of Edgar's newly recruited group, The Outsiders. Their mission: to reclaim Diana's homeland of Themyscira. They knew it would be difficult, but they had trained and prepared for this.
Inza had not come because she stayed behind to take care of Raven, who had awakened and was fine. Doctor Fate had said or predicted that the Obscurus would not move with Sabbac severely injured by Edgar, so they had a quiet few months without worrying about this group. Edgar had obviously planned that, as soon as this was all over, he would seek out those damn cockroaches and spray them with his fire.
Doctor Fate, he had set the timing of his magic tower so that, 3 weeks that they had before all this happened, turned into almost two months of group training. They now knew each other well, and their skills had improved by leaps and bounds.
Sure, in field work, they were lacking. But that couldn't be taught. It had to be learned as they went along. The only ones who had combat experience were Katana, who was an accomplished assassin taught by her clan the Yakuza, and Diana, who was practically the best fighter of the Amazons.
Fire, who was nervous due to it being her first mission, turned to Diana who was with a determined look on her face, and asked.
"Diana, what can we expect?"
Diana turned to look at Fire, and thought carefully about her question. After thinking about it for a while, she told her.
"I honestly don't know. Circe has been there for months, and I don't know what might have changed. What, I can tell you, is that we have a lot of weapons, both magical and normal. And I'm sure Circe set up the barrier so that as soon as we arrive, she will be alerted to our arrival. However, the most dangerous thing there are the gates to the Underworld. If Circe managed to open them, then beings of great power may be at dawn"
This did not calm Fire, but rather made her more nervous. Diana who saw that her words did not help, said to her.
"Don't worry. I have seen you train and I know that your power is enough against these beasts. You are strong, Beatriz" Beatriz smiled because of this. Those words calmed her restless heart a little.
"Thank you, Diana"
"Hey, Diana. I know now thanks to you and Mera that the gods existed, but what happened to them, are they still alive or did they die?" Ice interrupted the conversation with a doubt she had. She was an atheist, but she could not deny the existence of the ancient gods. She wondered if the Norse gods also existed.
"Gods, they are beings based on faith. When faith was dying due to the new religions that arose, many of them began to fade. However, because of culture and so on. The ones that remained the strongest were the Greeks. They took an oath not to get involved with mortals because of many conflicts they caused in the past. However, my half-brother Ares broke said oath in World War II"
They all looked at Diana quite immersed in the story. They could not believe their ears. That actually one of the biggest conflicts where more people died was because of a God.
"I fought in World War I and this was a conflict purely due to human ambition. But that conflict caused that Ares to become so powerful that he unleashed quite a few underworld monsters and some powerful titans. While the world was having the second world war, we were fighting an all-out war between gods, titans and monsters. In the end, Zeus gave his last breath to defeat my half-brother, and the war was won. But the Greek gods were extinguished in that conflict. They are not dead, but it will be many more hundreds of years before they reform"
"Unbelievable" Mera said in surprise. "I wasn't born then, but my mother used to tell me that, on those dates, the sea was very restless. Now I see that it was because of this conflict"
"Yes, it was the hardest battle I was in. Many of my sisters succumbed to the titans. You see, we have a blessing by Hades that, as long as we are on Themyscira, we Amazons cannot die, at least not permanently. We reform in a few weeks. We can only die, if we are killed by gods or titans or if we leave Themyscira. And that's why Circe didn't kill my sisters. Killing them would be useless. So she used Medusa's head to turn them to stone... but today I'm thinking of freeing them"
"We will" Doctor Light said. They all nodded determinedly.
"Ready?, we're about to arrive" Diana said as she looked up at the familiar sky. There was nothing unusual about the place. Purely sea and sky. However, as the plane was flying straight, out of nowhere the whole system started to shut down. It quickly went into a nosedive due to the engine shutdown. But this did not alarm the group of women, rather they all braced themselves.
Wonder Woman took Mera, Doctor Light took Katana and Fire took Ice who could not fly. They quickly jumped out of the plane and let the plane fall into the sea. They continued flying straight, as they entered the magical barrier. When they passed the barrier they finally saw what they were looking for.
An island that could only be described as breathtaking could be seen. It stretched for several kilometers. Full of vegetation and in the center several Greek temples could be seen. However, there was something odd about the image.
"Wonder Woman... What are those?, they look like insects" asked Mera. In the distance thousands of black dots could be seen, in the sky and on the beach. From the quantity, they looked like thousands of insects accumulated on the spot. However, Diana, who had enhanced eyesight due to her super senses, could see them well.
"They are not insects. They look like that because we are so far away. They are furies. And on the ground, there are minotaurs and cerberus waiting for us. This is what I was afraid of... Circe has opened the gates of the underworld"
'Shit' They all thought when they heard this sentence.
"Let go of me, Wonder Woman. Leave me in the sea" Mera requested.
"Same here, Fire"
Ice and Mera entered the sea. The first one summoned a pillar of ice and began to surf with her power, while throwing thousands of ice spears to kill those furies.
Mera, who went into the sea, summoned many columns of water, and threw them on land to decimate the large numbers of monsters there.
The others, however, were not idle. Wonder Woman began to annihilate the approaching furies with her sword. Then she used her lasso to lure the furies and cut them into pieces as a group.
Doctor Light threw beams of light with one hand, while Katana, who was clutching the other hand, chopped off the heads of these monsters with her sword each time she wielded it. Fire threw her green fire evaporating these beasts with her power. Together, as a team, they slowly began to decimate these forces.

While all this was going on. The fight scene of this group was being watched in a crystal ball by a beautiful orange haired woman. It was Circe, who was enjoying the good show this group was producing. She was quite impressed that, despite the large numbers, the group was slowly starting to gain ground.
"Mordru was right, Emerald. I owe you a favor for your advice" Circe said to the beautiful green haired woman sitting next to her. She was Cera Kesh, better known as Emerald Empress, loyal follower of her master, Mordru.
"My master is never wrong, Circe" Emerald said, as she had a look of devotion. To her, her master was her everything. Whatever he asked, she fulfilled. She was the cause of waking him from his eternal sleep. And Mordru repaid her by giving her the all-seeing eye, or the eye of Ekron. She became powerful because of him.
"Yeah, yeah, Whatever you say. Now girls, what do you say, wanna have some fun?" Circe said as she turned to the other group of women in the room, who were watching the show from the magic crystal ball.
When Mordru told her that in a few weeks they would probably attack Themyscira, she didn't believe him at first, she thought it was just a joke to tease her. But, he at that moment was not in his playful mode that he used every time they fought. At that moment, he denoted a lot of seriousness, and made her start to prepare herself.
She used her power to open the first door of the underworld, and released the furies, minotaurs and cerberus that were in that prison. Her power was not enough for more. Otherwise, she would have already freed her beloved sisters. But soon, soon she would be able to do it. As long as she was on the island, her power would grow stronger with time. She had only to defend the island from these invaders.
However, her instincts told her that this would not be enough, so she invited all the women from The Light's group, not counting Ivy, Catwoman and Star Sappire who were busy at the time. And they were the ones who were here.
On the spot, there were: Circe, Cheetah, Emerald Empress, Killer Frost, Livewire and Giganta.
"Yes, Circe. When you invited us over for some fun, I didn't believe it. But now I'm thankful I accepted your invitation" said Killer Frost, who was smiling as she watched her prey in the crystal ball.
"And what do you say, Barbara, your revenge is near" asked Circe to Barbara Minerva, or better known as Cheetah. However, the former feline appearance was no longer visible. At this moment, there was only a beautiful tall woman with a defined body. However, her green eyes were feline, indicating that her power was not gone, but had evolved.
This was the deal Circe had given her. And she had kept it. Now she could transform at will, and had even become stronger.
"I'm certainly looking forward to it. My claws are itching for Amazon blood" Barbara said as she licked her lips and grinned wildly.
"Okay, girls. Go have fun"
With that said by Circe, they all moved to intercept the group.

Atlantis
"This is B05 to Central, requesting entry to the site" said the communicator of an Atlantean ship requesting permission to enter the barrier.
"B05, anything to report?" requested Central, while reviewing the request and the ship's plate number requesting entry.
"Negative, all in order on scan"
"Okay, B05, request approved, please go to port 2, east zone, for disembarkation"
"Understood, Central"
On Atlantis, a lookout ship was passing the capital's protective barrier. Such ships were used to sight the sea, and see to it that there was nothing unusual to harm the Atlantean people. There was nothing unusual, and they quickly gave him entry through the barrier.
The Atlantean barrier was a magical one, which only opened to let these ships in and out. This barrier prevented intruders from arriving, or outside attacks from reaching the area. It was created by the first Atlantean king, Atlan 'The Wise', the first bearer of the great trident of Poseidon. And the unifier of the 7 kingdoms of the sea.
That is why the one who carried the trident of Poseidon, was the king of all Atlantis, as Atlan said that only the trident could be used by the one who had the qualities of ruler. And that tradition still continued today.
As the ship arrived. It parked, and the driver got off. Several soldiers approached to inspect the ship, as it was routine for them to do so. However, just as they were about to use the sensors to inspect the cargo, B05 moved.
"Bang, bang, bang" he grabbed his Atlantean weapon, and fired several lasers that immediately killed the approaching soldiers. And just as well he did, because right out of the compartment came a large group of men, who were pollywogs.
They were the men from The Outsiders group. In addition to Edgar, who was not present, there were: Metamorpho, Plastic Man, Firestorm, Etrigan, Constantine, Blue Beetle, Orsi and Vulko. In addition, the soldier who was helping them was an Atlantean who was being possessed by none other than Deadman.
"Alright guys. You know what to do" Vulko said as he took one of the Atlantean weapons from the dead soldiers.
There was only one problem. Blue Beetle, or Jaime Reyes, the young man in the scarab suit, was in shock at seeing the loss of life. He was just a teenager until recently. This was all very new to him. Sure, he wanted to defeat The Light and was all for the cause, but he had never seen a death scene so close. Frankly nothing prepared him for this.
Constantine grabbed him by the shoulders as he saw his state of shock, and turned to Vulko.
"We know, mate. Your group is going to retrieve the trident. We're going to the command center to disable the protective barrier, some from the south and some from the north, since both sides are heavily guarded the area. We are ready"
However, they couldn't even move forward when an alarm began to sound throughout the palace.
"wee-woo, wee-woo, wee-woo, wee-woo, ATTENTION. INTRUDERS IN THE EAST ZONE. REPEAT INTRUDERS IN THE EAST ZONE"
'Shit' they all thought.
They didn't know what they had done wrong, but they had already been discovered. At this point, for the group everything had become complicated.

While all this situation was going on, right on the surface of the Atlantic Sea, which just happened to be the sea where the capital of Atlantis was located, was Doctor Fate, in the sky, floating, waiting for his guest.
He did not have to wait long, as a dark red portal materialized in the area. From said portal, Mordru emerged, looking totally impassive. As if he was not at all concerned about the situation. When Mordru saw Doctor Fate, he smiled.
"Brother, it's a pleasure to see you" Mordru said with a smile, as he looked at the golden-helmeted man.
"Mordru. I don't feel the same pleasure seeing you. You should be in limbo. Where I put you the first time" Fate answered him in his ethereal voice.
"Yeah... I don't think so, brother. I don't care what you say anymore, Nabu. To me, you're just someone who knows no loyalty. You betrayed me, you locked me away. You denied me my conquest, MY DESTINY...and you never thought to join me and be powerful together. To rule everything, and everyone, as it always should have been"
"That's not the way the Lords of Order want it, brother. That, that's just chaos"
"SHUT UP. THE LORDS OF ORDER DON'T KNOW SHIT. They're just old geezers who think they're superior. What you don't know, brother, is that, to have order, you need chaos. And I will give you the chaos that this world needs to finally have order"
"Not on my watch, brother. With your power incomplete, you won't be able to defeat me" Fate said, as he made a few hand signals. A giant golden ankh materialized right behind him.
"You are right, brother. I am incomplete, and I am weaker than you. I'm so weak that you tricked me into thinking you'd move a few months later with your mastery of time, pretty clever of you, brother. I'm sure Vandal is furious because he planned that everything would happen in three months later like I told him in the beginning, hahaha. But, don't worry brother. Just because I'm not complete doesn't mean I can't match you…. Oh, and as a note, I already gave notice to Orm that he has intruders in his city"
A green eye materialized just then. It was Nekron's eye used by Emerald Empress.
In addition to the great power it gave to the user who wore it. It had a particular function that allowed another to boost its power. It wasn't much, but, in Mordru, it was enough to match Nabu's power.
A green beam shot out into Mordru's body, causing a green aura to seep through the pores of Mordru's body. Green veins began to show because of this. After a couple of seconds of this happening, the eye stopped using its beam and disappeared as if it had never been there. The eye had returned to its owner, Emerald Empress, who was going to fight Wonder Woman and her group.
Doctor Fate became solemn at this. He sensed it through his enhanced magical senses. That eye had caused Mordru's power to increase by leaps and bounds.
A dark red aura shot out from his body, while his eyes glowed the same color. The sky began to darken, and lightning began to strike. A giant fasces materialized right behind Mordru, in response for the ankh from Nabu. It was the symbol of Roman power.
"It is time for revenge, brother. But this time, I will no longer hold back. This time, I'll be the one to lock you in limbo"
"We'll see about that, brother"
With that say, they both moved as large dark red and gold magical seals materialized in the sky where many of these colors were driven towards their opponent…
