1 1. Arrival of a Warrior

POV 3rd Person

On the beach of Paradise Island, a group of amazons rode on horseback enjoying the perfect air of their island only to stop as their horses got spooked.

"Whoa what's gotten into them?" an Amazon said petting her horse's head trying to calm the beast down but found it unresponsive.

"They got the scent of something they don't like be on guard," said another she held the reins of her horse tight and drew her sword the other did as well getting their mounts under control after a few moments and rode forward much more aware of there surroundings but they didn't need to seach for long as the group found somthing impossible.

A man covered in cuts and bruises carried himself from the ocean.

"A man has set foot on Paradise Island!" said one of the Amazon in front of the group stood a man in full armor leaning on an ornate but bloody spear with a short sword sheathed at his hip, two of the group charged forward while one stayed back and blew on a horn the caused the air to vibrate and ripple like water the signaling the island of an intruder.

The man had noticed the riders baring down on him lifted his gauntleted arm and took a stance with his spear pointed towards them.

Riding forward and slashing their sword they find their blows deflected and fall as each horse falls with a rider in tow, getting up they find each horse with a hole in its chest and look to find the warrior's spear now dripping with new blood.

'Fast,' is the one agreeing thought that went through all of the Amazon's minds as none had seen the spear move from its position in the intruder's hands, even now as the intruder faced the downed riders the single rider had not seen the intruder turn to face her sisters.

Forming a shield wall the four charged at the intruder only for their shields, swords, and armor to break and crack as each Amazon fell to the ground.

Seeing her sister on the ground the intruder swept his spear and turned to face the last of this group who had already blown the horn again for aid, and as she prepared to retreat and meet with those reinforcements the intruder having watched her the entire time leaned on his spear once again.

POV: Hippolyta Queen of the Amazons

I stood in my private chamber looking over the arena watching some of the younger Amazon's train but that was not what I was focusing on it had been 30 minutes since the signal of an intruder and still no word back after 10 minutes I sent 5 of my royal guard to investigate but still no word.

'Should I investigate?' This thought once again appeared in my mind but like the other times, I waved it away even as I glanced at where my armor hung from it stand cleaned and polished appearing as if it was forged just today and not hundreds of years ago then a knock came to the four and I turned to see Diana standing in the doorway with a worried look.

"Mother is something wrong?" Diana asked I shack my head of these thoughts and gave her a genuine smile as we embraced "I am fine my daughter it's nothing more than a queen worrying about her people," I said more to myself than I would admit but Diana smiled and nodded and we began to catch up.

For a few minutes, I enjoyed Diana sharing her stories of man's world and how much it has changed since last I had laid my eyes on it, and these talks always brought back fond memories of my time in the JSA but those thoughts were interrupted as Mala captain of the royal guard came in and quickly saluted and bowed.

"My queen I bring urgent news," she said and I motioned for her to stand and she did so "The intruder has been captured and brought to the throne room to await your judgment," she finished and I nodded but Diana went to her sister just before she collapsed.

I looked her over and saw the added bruises and cuts all across her body.

"Diana help me sit her down here," I said pulling out a chair for her she looked like she was about to refute the offer but we both insisted and now I get a better look at her I see the damage she had tried to hid her armor is cracked and specks of dried blood covered parts of her armor.

"How did this happen," Diana asked her voice filled with worry and curiosity I can understand why Mala was one of the greatest fighters among the Amazon's

"The intruder was. . .far stronger than we anticipated," Mala said I placed and hand on her shoulder before placing my crown on my head.

"Then I shall see this intruder for myself," as Diana and I were about to leave Mala grabbed my hand stopping us both and for the first time, I saw worry in Malaysia's eyes and hesitation.

"We did not stop him. . .He simply was. . .to tired to fight on," Mala said her eyes never leaving mine I nodded and turned to Diana we shared a look and wondered what were we about to see.

(A few minutes later)

I sat on my throne Diana by my side with my closest advisors and the rest of my royal guard stood on each side of the throne room ready then the bronze double doors opened to reveal a group of Amazonas lifting a cage made of enchanted iron and set it in the middle of the room before taking position around it they turned to me and i nodded and they began to open it.

For what felt like hours we waited as the ancient blessed iron cage door slowly began to lift, then I heard it the iron door of the cage opened completely with a loud clank two warriors pulled on two large chains and after a few seconds out stepped a warrior covered in blood, dirt, sweat, and sand covered in cuts and bruises he stood ready to fight even though he was chained and had no weapons.

But as I looked at the man the feeling of recognition flooded my mind with a sense of nostalgia that I tried to keep from showing on my face as I tried to understand where I had seen this type of warrior from before, but like all ancient memories they stayed just out of reach of coming into the light of day.

Antiope: "Man be honored for as long as you draw breath for you stand before Hippolyta queen of the Amazon's and her daughter and heir Princess Diana of Themyscira the Wonder Woman," Antiope said but the man said nothing only looking around the room assessing even as my sister demanded he takes a knee he did nothing until the collar around his neck that was connected to one of the chains activated with a red glow forcing him to the ground but my eyes widened as he fought and resisted the magic in the chains far longer than any I had ever seen, then with a grunt that sounded more like a growl he finally took one knee.

"My queen these are the items he was found with," Aresia presented to me a shield with an emblem on the front of it a beaten and worn spear, and a sheathed sword but the shield caught my attention, and that ancient memory finally showed itself.

"A spartan how is that possible!?!" I all but jumped out of my throne and looked at the man and the man looked at me "Mother what do you mean a spartan?" Diana asked but I did not break eye contact with the warrior.

"Are you truly a son of Sparta?" I asked and the warrior nodded once I walked forward toward the warrior no one said anything as I approached him and removed his helmet revealing his face.

A boy no older than 17 with pricing eyes one a rich gold with imperial purple pupils his black messy hair spilled out and just then did I notice the glow of his eyes.

"You can rest now the battle is over you have done your duty," I said and after a long pause the boy fell to the ground unconscious I held the boy in my arms before he fell to the floor.

(An Hour later)

Antiope, Diana, Aresia, and I sat in my chamber as the spartan boy slept in my bed having been tended to by our best healers I took a sip of my wine but my sisters refused to touch theirs.

"Well, aren't you going to ask?" I said as I ate a slice of cheese with bread and watched the three have a nonverbal conversation before it was agreed Diana would go first.

"Do you know who this boy is?" Diana asked and I shook my head before washing down my snack with the sweet bitter taste of the aged drink.

"Not personally no we just met today in fact," I said playfully Antiope did not look amused leaning forward "Then why is a man sleeping and being tended to in our queen's royal chamber in her personal bed," she said with venom and disbelief as if what she said wasn't happening right now I took another sip of the aged wine.

"Because he as a Spartan is our kin," I said and I watched the gears turning in their heads stop for a few moments nothing was said and the only thing heard was me eating "What do you mean by that my queen," Aresia my sister's adopted daughter asked and I looked each of them in the eye.

"You all know our history or at least some of it so I shall tell you the rest we Amazons are originally daughters of Ares the God of war", they all nodded so I continued "But the war god didn't just have daughters he also had his sons who had their city and territory called Sparta," I said much to the shock of everyone.

"I was never told of this," Antiope said with much more hurt, and before anyone else could speak the shuffling of sheets caused us to turn and see our guest sitting up with a groan.

I and the others stood and as if on cue the full moon lit the boy up giving us all a good look at him without his armor, his skin was like that of milk chocolate he had a body that looked like it was sculpted by the gods and his eyes were a bright gold color lending cadence to him having a divine heritage.

'Wasn't one of his purple?' I thought but that thought vanished as the young man spoke "Wha-, where am I?" he said then he looked at us with curiosity and interest as I felt his golden eyes look over us I felt heat come to my face and my body tingling but I kept myself composed even though I was confused by my sudden reaction.

"Y-you are on Themyscira home of the Amzaons you arrived on our shore wounded," Diana said and I couldn't help but notice the stutter in her voice, but what caught my attention was the boys' reaction as a look of recognition crossed his face.

"That's impossible unless. . ." he began but started to whisper to him only for my sister to take control and step forward "Could you tell us your name stranger?" she said in a forceful tone but the boy didn't seem to mind giving her a smile that caused my heart to flutter.

"There was a time when we're no individual across the realms who didn't know my name but now I know I am no longer home," he swung his feet off the bed and stood before bowing a little "My name is Deimos son of Kratos the former god of war and Aphrodite goddess of Love it is an honor to meet you all," he said and stood standing at hos full height that seemed to tower over all of us to before a long moment, there was silence before my chalice fell from my hand shattering on the marble floor.

The young man now claimed god looked confused at our reactions until he looked down at himself to see he was completely naked his armor and clothes having been taken to be investigated and repaired his new clothes having not arrived yet.

He looked up at us a smile on his face "We'll I guess this is one way for an introduction," he said and started laughing to himself.
