A year has passed since Blackagar's ascension to the throne of the Inhuman people, and many things have changed, the Inhumans' caste system, where their power defined their status was starting to be abolished, Blackagar believed that there were no useless powers, only users bad, this won the favor of many of the civil people who now had more praise for the King.

Another change was the military system, the King divided them into divisions, where each of them would serve a specific function, one focused on healing, the other on direct combat, infiltration, science etc... In addition he merged an academy where young people awakened ones could learn to use their powers in a more comfortable environment.

This and other changes brought a lot to talk about the new King, but not only political changes, as the science institute brought several changes, new technologies that brought conveniences for everyone. Cleaning and security droids, advanced medicines, and the greatest of all a clean, renewable energy source for every city.

I was sitting on my throne, beside me was my bride Medusalith, we would be having the ceremony at the end of the year, and soon we would be engaged. In addition to her, the head of the royal guard was with us, the reason was to choose the members of the royal guard who protected me, I think it's kind of funny but I accepted, having someone else besides my fiancée and brother to talk to didn't seem so bad.

Several candidates were sent by the five noble families, it was necessary to maintain a good relationship between the King and the nobles that warrior members of the families were sent, as I was in a position where I could finish them off so they wanted as little conflict as possible. with me, and that was good.

Many candidates were exposed, including Medusalith's sister, Cristal, she was really a prodigal with her elemental powers, she was kind and sweet but still very young so I asked her to wait a few years. Beside him was his cousin, Karnak, said to be the best martial artist in Attilan, his power was the ability to find the weak point of anything, including living beings or even buildings, he wasn't as strong as Gorgon but without a doubt he was more accurate.

These two proved themselves worthy and honorable warriors, and on top of that they had no ambition, they would just serve the crown and nothing else, now I just need to worry about giving away their positions.

Another three hours passed, meetings to discuss matters and ascertain the situation of the kingdom, I must say it is quite tiring, luckily Medusalith was by my side to give my answers, these sector leaders as efficient as they were, were extremely boring.

I had to scratch my eyes a little, otherwise I could fall asleep, the last subject was about the agricultural sector, but now something more interesting would come, the leader of the espionage sector would give his first report on the situation of the outside world .

After the long meeting I transferred to my quarters, I was tired, not physically but mentally, but I believe that with the passage of time I will get used to this routine. I had Medusalith by my side, I was stroking her long red hair as she read a book.

" You know , it 's weird to think that humans see powers as something fantastic , living in a society where power is common , looking at their society is weird , to think that a group of super humans fought in World War II and were decorated for it , humans are just weird."

Her saying these things made me laugh , she summed up the human race well , their fickleness being what makes them so different from other peoples , they were unpredictable , but that also set them apart , made them disunited , and simply at times unable to think about what happened whole and not for personal gain. Perhaps in the future they could evolve into something beyond that, but only the future will tell.

"I'm excited but I can't help but be nervous about the wedding, I feel like I could end up getting fat in the dress if I don't take care of myself." She started to ramble.

I laughed inside, if she was fat then she could kiss any model goodbye to compare herself, she was just stunning in my eyes.
