7 CHAPTER 6: Man Bat and Batman

BEN POV

I am right now running after a dude who is running away after stealing a woman purse after I had dinner in Big Belly Burger alone.

Lilith meanwhile seems to be spending more of her time with Raven, since both of them now are close leaving the poor me alone.

Not that I mind it since more alone time mean I can do many stuff alone in my free time. Besides, I did not have to worry about someone else life when I go on a patrol like this.

"Hup!" I jump over the dude and landed in front of him as I swept his leg off from the ground with I quickly use my elbow to hit this throat to the ground as he yelps in pain.

"Stand down dude," I tell him as he heeds my word as I see 2 policemen arrives here which is my cue to disappear from them.

Releasing the burglar, I quickly make my way on climbing stairways on a building next to my right as one policeman calls me.

"Wait, can we at least know your hero name?" He asks me as I look at him while raising my eyebrows.

"Look, we got Batman, Flash and Superman, but we never know yours." He said to me as I wonder if this policeman is a fan of heroes.

But this is a lucky day for him since I have a hero name for myself already.

"You want to know my hero name?" I ask him as he nods his head as a smirk plastered on my face.

"It's Decade," I replied knowing Decade is a name dedicated to the number 10 of the original Ben 10 since the watch that I get is from that cartoon series.

"Until we see again gentlemen. Ciao." I get away from there leaving the cops and burglar who is taking their time to remember my hero name.

"Decade. Number 10? Or maybe it is his favourite number." The policeman who asks me mutters as his partner smacks his head.

"Enough of your fanboy mode, come on, let's just send this guy to the prison." He said as the burglar get drag to their car.

"2 weeks have passed with no sign of supervillains in New York but I get the feeling the moment of peace will disturb any movement right now," I said in a low tone as I am currently using my grapple hook to swing to another building as my communicator which looks like an earbud vibrate.

Landing on the roof, my hand approaches the communicator on my right ear that is directly connected to my phone and tap it to answer it.

"Ben? Where are you right now?" Lilith ask me making me want to roll my eyes knowing this girl probably forgotten I am patrolling the city every night to stop the crimes in this city.

"Patrolling the city," I replied.

"Oh. By the way, do you perhaps want to follow me and Raven to the New York Night Safari?" She asks me.

"The activity that recently happens in that zoo. Cool, I am in. What time will we meet tomorrow?" I ask her as my eyes, with the help of enhancing lens look out toward the city to see if there are any crimes happen nearby while I am talking with Lilith here.

"8 p.m. At the Big Belly Burger near the zoo. Do not be late." She ends the call leaving me to sigh knowing I will not patrol the city tomorrow night.

"Well, then, I just had to stop crimes as many times I can tonight." Twisting the faceplate of the Omnitrix, the dial popped up as I rotate it to search for a specific alien, a really fast one.

Finding it, my palm hit it down as green flash surrounded me turning into my speedy alien, named Fasttrack.

I run down to the road and resume patrolling the city.

My green eyes keep looking out for any crimes that may happen as I search thoroughly the alleys in case someone is injured and as the minute's pass, I stumbled upon 3 hooligan whois harassing an old man as he gets pushed down by the hooligan who has skull shape ring on his index finger.

Feeling angry seeing this, I sped to them and without me chatting to the criminals as a certain slider themed superhero, I best them all up to the point anyone who knew them will not recognise them with all the bruises and broken noses that I hit with my super-speed punches many times.

Almost 100 punches landed on their body with me has to jab since I decided these scums are not worth being spared.

Besides, there is still a line that I should never cross.

Pfft. Like the heck, I am going to follow the stupid "No Kill" rule, I am going to handle the criminals in my and if the billionaire with his friends is not satisfied with my ways of handling the criminals, we can just fight with me will not hold back.

"But still my alien arsenal keeps increasing to these days and with me now had to expand my training a little bit and make it tougher since some of my aliens are destructive ones."

Shaking out from my stupor, I glance at the old man who is looking directly at me as I hold my hand out toward him.

"Are you alright?" I ask him as he grabs my hand with me pull him up.

"Y-yes. You are the alien hero right?" He asks me as I nod my head.

"C-can we take a selfie? My son, Dan, really admires you and a fan of yours." He told me as I had to hold my laughter seeing him feel nervous and stutter when talking to me.

"Sure," I say as I take out his phone and open the camera.

"Say cheese," I said as we both smiles as then our pictures appear on the screen of his phone.

"Until we meet again." I then sped away leaving an excited father who manages to take a picture with me as he can impress his son.

"Urghh. This is not fun." I thought while followed Raven and Lilith who seemed to enjoy looking at the animals in the night despite some of them seems to be sleeping.

"I can just go patrol but a promise is still a promise." I sip my cola drink while looking at a tiger who seems to be growling at us as I just want to transform into an alien that will surely scare him away.

But I hold off that thought.

"Geez. Ben. At least show some excitement on this trip." Lilith said to me as I snort hearing that.

"It is not like they have Dinosaurs here. If they do, I will come to this place every day." I told her.

"But they have extinct," Rachel spoke making me sigh hearing the monotone voice of this girl.

"So, Rachel did this Lilith take care of you greatly," I ask her.

"I mean, she has few screws loose in her head--ouch!" I get elbowed by Lilith who feels angry hearing me just insult her.

"Whether Ben. So, do you guys find this trip amazing?" She asks me and Rachel.

"No." Me and Rachel replied at the same time making Lilith slump her shoulder, feeling sad hearing our honest answer.

"At least you guys give an honest answer." She said to us as I take a look at our surrounding seeing all the animals are either laying in their cases or just roaming around it.

Until we enter an aviary that seems to be a little bit suspicious as my eyes see something big at the top right corner of the cage where no birds are there.

"What is that?" A teenage girl asks the zoo guide who look up only to have a confused expression on her face.

"That is not supposed to be here." The guide mutter as she touches her ear-com to call her superior, but I already know what is that thing hanging on the cage.

"It looks like a bat." Lilith mutter making me widen my eyes hearing that as my head start to think what that is.

A giant bat. Who else it is rather Man-Bat, the humanoid version of the Bat.

"He is waking up." Rachel suddenly mutters as I quickly take action.

"Get out of here. It is Man-Bat!" I shouted and some of them flinched in surprised hearing my announcement.

"Is this some sort of gimmick?"

"Come on, Man-Bat is in jail."

"Yeah. Batman defeated him."

The other tourists said making me almost want to curse at them as the humanoid bat unfolded his wings revealing the face of a humanoid bat who screech when its eyes fell upon us.

"Run!" I shouted as the tourists make a run as I see the Man-Bat has opened his wings as it screeches making the other bats go after the people who are here, including me, Lilith and Raven as I am about to act by activating my Omnitrix but decide not too when many benches, covers in light green hit some of the bats as I see Lilith who has her eyes shined for a second as they faded away.

"Lilith. You",

" Come on. We need to bail out from here." I grab Raven's right hand as I and Lilith get out of here quickly as we made it safely outside but sounds of screaming can be heard as I sneak away from the girls.

RAVEN POV

"And then we have Ben, who is a nice person once you get to know him." Lilith Clay, the same teenage girl and my deskmate told me as she has that cherry attitude that makes me feels it is okay to be near her.

She and I already hang out so many time with her keep asking me to change my style of clothing but I refuse to take her to buy purple coloured clothing for me.

Yup, she is too nice and a special one too as she accidentally uses her power when she catches a knife that almost stabs her feet.

I can sense her fear when she caught me staring at her using her power but after I showed mine, she feels happy knowing she is not the only super-powered person she knows.

But she never tells me the other super-powered person she knows which I never mind knowing.

And today is supposed to be our handout days with Ben, her friend, the only male that I can say, nice to be with to join us on this boring trip.

So when a supervillain emerges within the zoo we visited, I am slightly panic when it tries to attack us as it now is heading to us when many benches covered in a green aura hit it making it halt its movement.

Ben seems to say something to Lilith as we then get out from the zoo as Ben let go of my hand.

*Screech*

Man-Bat now has gone out as many visitors start to get more scared as the bat-themed villain now is hovering over them but a green flash occurs on my left as something just crash onto the villain from Gotham.

What I am currently seeing is a flying manta ray that blast away the Man-Bat who screech and ram his body toward the red manta ray.

BEN POV

"Tch." My eyes glowed as I blast the Man-Bat to a car as I dash to him with my eyes glows very brightly.

"You move again and I will show you," I said to him as the humanoid Bat seems to not heed my order making me shot toward his chest sending him back as it cries in pain as I ignore his cry and hover above him.

"You better listen Man-Bat. This is my turf and nothing can hurt it. Gotham has Batman. Metropolis has The Man of Steel with Central City has the Flash. And guess who New York has? Me, The Decade." I said loudly as the villain rush toward me but I dodge it and shit his back as he crashes to a wall as I sped toward him.

I then grab his throat and drag him on the wall as we now are in the sky as I push him back he spread his wing and then open his mouth.

*SCREECHHH* That stuns me for a second as I forgot he can do that as he kicks me to a roof making me groan as I know I give this guy enough chance to surrender.

His figure now is flying meters away from me but I cover it in matters of second and as I am about to blast this guy again, something blocks it.

A black jet that looks exactly like a bat as my eyes widened upon seeing who now has interrupted my way to arrest Man-Bat.

"Batman." I narrow my eyes as I can see he now is on my way so I quickly fly past the Bat-Wing as Man-Bat now rushes to be as I met with me shooting at him until a net envelop us.

"Did the Dark Knight try to catch us both? Hmp. Probably want to know who I am exactly." My eyes shine brightly as I look at this net as I let out a roar as my neuroshock beam destroy this net as both I and the bat villain fell as I immediately wish forward toward Man-Bat to a roof as I keep blasting the metahuman so many time until I feel satisfied seeing the villain on the roof with his body now has many burns mark as then I turn behind only to see a kick almost hit me had I lower myself.

Landing on a roof, I see the infamous Batman who looks exactly like the Young Justice Version as he gives me his famous Bat glare toward me which did bit gives me anything.

"The hell do you want?!" I ask him with a rude tone trying to antagonise him as he takes a look at Man-Bat.

"Your way of handling Man-Bat is too harsh." He said a sentence that makes me scoff.

"Like you do any better than me. Go home Batman, this is my city, go back to Gotham." I said to him as he then jumps in front of me with then 5 black marbles now are in front of me.

"Fuck." They exploded making me closes my eyes as I fly upwards very fast toward the sky as I open my eyes only to see a net almost envelop me but I slice it in half with my eye beam.

"Do not test my patience, Batman. You will not like me when I am angry." I said to him as his Batwing made a humming sound as a taser net envelope me as I shout in pain as I am being tasered.

"Let's see how you like this." I spin my body very fast while letting out my eye beam as the net has an opening that I quickly free myself.

"Fine. You are the one who asks for this." The flying vehicle aimed his blaster toward me but I avoid it as I shot my neuro shock beam toward the cockpit who has a crack on it as it then tilts sideways as it released its shots toward me but I avoided it as I headed toward Batman who throws a black ball toward me as I blast it.

It exploded as a pink goo appeared as I quickly position myself like a drill and has my top speed to pierce it as Batman barely manages to evade my attack as I shot toward him hitting his chest as he almost got thrown out from the roof but he shot his gripper toward the floor.

3 Batarang is thrown toward me but I destroy them all as the Batman now appear in front of me with him kicking me In my chest but I used my wing to block it as he ducks avoiding my eye blast.

"Tsk." Clicking my tongue, I get swipe by the Batman but I blast my eye beam toward him as he steps aside to avoid it with him quickly delivers many punches that hit my face as he seems to focus to punch my face making. unable to shot my eye beam.

"Screw it. Hope he survives this." I thought in my head as I lean back but get a kick on my chest but my tail which already points at his mask shot hitting his face as Batman fell on the floor.

"That is a reminder for you to not stand in my way when I want to arrest a villain Bats," I said to him as he throws something that then exploded as many wires envelop me as I get electrocuted as the Batman open his mouth.

"And that should be enough for you to not let your guard down when you think you have won." He said as I knew his mask has lead protecting it as one of the horn only has been destroyed as the white lense lose its colour as half of the lens shows a man eye.

"Should I change to another alien?" I thought in my head but then shake the thought as I did not want my ability to shift to another alien being revealed this sooner.

My tail released a shot that Batman avoided as I see Man-Bat is still there so I grab him with my tail shot many green blasts toward Batman who avoided them as I quickly fly away but the Batwing stop in front of me as I dived down with Batman take this chance to lung at me.

But then I throw Man-Bat toward him surprising him as I grin toward him.

"You wanted your villain so much, go ahead and take him. Here is my farewell gift toward you." I released a beam hitting Man-Bat who crash against the bat-themed hero as they both fell through a floor of the building.

The Batwing surprisingly released shots making me know it probably piloted by someone from the Wayne Mansion as I decide to fly away by fling over the road as the jet did not chase me as it landed on the roof.

"This is the only chance I will let you have your villain goes away from my city. But there will be no next time." I thought in my head as I fly back toward my friend.
