1 Ch 1

Running and panicking down a dark and dirty alley. I never expected to find myself in such a situation. Being chased of all things by a couple of thugs in a city, I just woke up in. I hear them scream, ordering me to stop. I don't know how many people are chasing me, but I don't waste any time trying to look back. I need to find a way to escape my predicament.

As I slowly got away from them running through a maze of dingey dirty alleys. I keep running until I notice I can barely hear them anymore; as I look back, I see only one man chasing me, but he is far behind me.

Then I find myself blindsided as I am tackled by one of the men who chase me that came from a side alley as I pass it. I'm knocked into the ground next to a dumpster. "You little Sh*t, just give us your wallet and everything you got on you, and we promise we won't hurt you too much!" my assailant shouts at me as he grabs the collar of my shirt with his hands.

Before he could get the chance to do anything else, I fell something with one of my hands and grabbed it. The thug doesn't see the object I grabbed as he is raising his fist to strike me, but before he can hit me, I strike first by taking what I now realize is a glass beer bottle and hit the side of his head with it sending him falling to his side.

"Motherfu***r!" the man screams in pain, holding his bleeding head and screaming in agony as I quickly get up, hearing shouting coming far behind me. Back to running again with the bottle in my hand, even though I can't see them chasing me, I can still hear them. Not knowing what to do, I went and dived to a nearby dumpster and hid, closing the lid. Not long after, I can hear footsteps outside closing in, but to my luck those footsteps just passed by me.

I waited until I was safe, but a Ding sound and a screen prompt appeared in front of me.

Mission? Box ?. is this a system like in those novels I read? How can this be real?. I remember I was just going to sleep after playing some games, but then I woke up in that dark alley where I found those guys trying to mug me, and I ran.

Since I got the System, why not just use it, Right?." Yes" as I command the System to open the box.

[Obtain Flight]

[Equip Power? Yes/No]

It looks like the System gives me power, an actual superpower. Making sure that the alley is empty I get out of the dumpster. Equipping my power I gained a rush of knowledge about it. Memory of how to fly came to me.

With the new memory, I began to fly up to the skies. It was easy, like I have been doing it for years. I fly around the city that looks somehow familiar to me. I stop at the roof in one of the buildings in the city, and in front of me is a tall skyscraper with the word Wayne Enterprises on it.

Gotham City. That is where I am. I'm in the DC Universe filled with superpower heroes and villains, Aliens, and Gods.

As I stare at the building, pondering what to do next since I have gotten myself transported to a new universe, I hear a Thud sound behind me. As I look back, I see Batman himself landing on the building, followed by the Boy Wonder.

They look at me, trying to assess me. As I look at them nervously and say, "Hello there."

From the advice i gotten i realize it hard for me to categorize the power the MC will get so i will just remove the rank completely.

i also make that MC will get the box as a mission reward only.

MC can get skill,knowledge, and power from the box.
