50 The start

-Narrator pov -

Like a chain reaction, a meeting was soon set up, and people were called to talk about the future of the world.

Lucas Queen made an appearance, not personally but through his social media, he shared several messages about the safety of others and how to help.

Even during the invasion and him defending several cities he truly never stopped campaigning.

He didn't make an in-person appearance because he was needed in the special meeting between Himself, Batman, Superman, The Arrow, the Recently and early dubbed flash along with Wonder Woman.

Lucas along with Dembe and Oliver stood in front of a giant screen awaiting the call to connect. Oliver already went back to Felicity and Diggle to brief them on the situation.

The screen lit up, splitting into five sections the 'heroes' began to appear.

*beep* the flash

*beep* Batman

*beep* Superman

*beep* Wonder woman

*Beep* Lucas, Dembe, and Oliver

"Thank you for coming everyone," Superman's calm but genuine tone broke the momentary silence

"Woah! Is this like a super-secret hero meeting!?" Flash exclaimed before he suddenly had a phone in his hand and started taking selfies

"Stop," the raspy firm tone of Batman halted the flash

"Ahaha, just nervous," the flash said rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment

"Let's get on with this meeting, I have a city to defend," Wonder Woman said impassively

"Yeah, and I have to help you all save them so let's hurry," Lucas added amusement clear in his tone

"And I thank you for this brief moment of help Azreal," Superman said

"This meeting was called to make a strategy to defend earth," Batman said seriously grabbing everyone's attention

Batman saw this and continued, "defending our respective cities will only draw out this battle, we need to take the fight to them and destroy whatever is letting them in. I found out there was a large explosion not far from central city and metropolis before the invasion started."

Lucas cut in, "even if we did we still would have to fight back a whole army, these are just scouts and suicide soldiers testing our prowess."

"That's why this meeting was called. Superman, you, and Wonder woman are the hardest hitters earth has. The flash, your ally, and I can play support while the arrow fends them off from afar," Batman replied

"sounds good I even have this one guy in my city that has this fire gun maybe he can help. So still no nickname yet? I know how you feel I was called the streak before the flash," Flash said toward Dembe

Dembe just shrugged.

"Batman, you are underutilizing the people in your city. Ivy, firefly, and others could help," Lucas said

Batman didn't reply, "I agree with Azreal," Wonder woman said

"Don't tell me you are too prideful?" Lucas said shaking his head at the screen

"I don't work with criminals," Batman replied

Lucas didn't say anything but Oliver laughed, "then why are you working with him," Oliver was obviously referring to the resident vampire

"Necessary evil," Batman replied

"Hahaha, Batman just cracked a joke!" Flash laughed

Slowly his laugh died as he realized no one else was laughing.

"I say Superman and Flash inspect the place you found Batman, I will be coming Starling city for any more Aliens," Lucas said

"Let me know when we go to war, I must hunt the rest now," Wonder Woman said ending the call

"We will stay in contact," Superman said before ending his own call

"Um bye, let's kick some alien ass," Flash said before disconnecting

"Stay close," Batman said before leaving

-Lucas's pov -

Once the call ended I couldn't help but chuckle at Flash's antics, it might seem like he was just an airhead but he was most likely trying to make us relax a little more with his humor.

"I don't feel good leaving the city alone," Oliver said after some time

"Thea is protected that much I'm sure of," I replied

"Let me think," Oliver said while walking away

"Where are you going?" I asked lightly

"Meeting up with Felicity and Diggle then home to check on Thea. You should come," Oliver replied

"Not today," I said shaking my head I have too much to prepare

As Oliver left I began to prepare several flame dispensing devices, as I was about to start heading toward Metropolis to meet with superman my phone began to ring.

The call was from a random number, I still answered.

"Azreal," a voice I recognized sounded

"Andrew?" I asked

"It's me, I'm glad your are alive they almost got me," he sounded tired

"Do you need help?" I asked

"No, well maybe. I allied myself with the good members of the order apparently the ones that attacked us are a group of zealots whose only goal is to rule the world. To create the ' wrong type of order' as the people I'm with say," he replied with a hollow chuckle

"Where are you?" I asked

"Heading to the portal, it's near Metropolis and central city. Apparently, these Zealots have allied themselves with the aliens," he replied

I cursed under my breath.

"Don't engage yet, we will come soon," I said while signaling to Dembe

He got my meaning as I saw him pull out his phone.

"We?" he asked

"Batman, Wonder woman, Arrow, The Flash, Superman, and another," I replied

I continued, "with you coming we have a better chance,"

-break-

We all stood in a group looking at the mass of Aliens in front of the portal, we could see even more beyond that.

"This doesn't look good for us," the flash said in a worried tone

"It was never going to be easy," Batman replied while tapping on his wrist like a keyboard

Small drones began to detach from the aircraft Batman flew.

Wonder Woman, Superman, and I walked forward.

I looked over to them both and smirked under my mask, "are you ready for this?" I asked

"A warrior is always prepared for battle," wonder woman replied

"As ready as I will ever be," Superman said with a serious look

I chuckled and then launched forward.

-Narrator pov -

Lucas took off the bottom of his mask mid-sprint, storing it in his ring his hand shot out and grabbed the closest Martian.

Before the Martian could even react Lucas already held its head in his hand, he then disappeared again charging into the endless sea of white.

His fangs latched onto his next victim, draining the martian dry Lucas felt his body grow stronger.

"Disgusting blood," he said softly

Arrows began to fly, lasers began to be shot, fear began to fester, and streaks of lightning began to cover the battlefield.

The drones began to shoot flames.

The final battle had begun.
