25 Convicted

A/N: I don't know shit about how criminal court goes and the actual charges Walter would catch so it won't be accurate

--

I stood in my yard I was shirtless and my eyes were closed, my head was tilted back towards the scorching, and I felt nothing, no pain, no torture.

Only bliss.

"I'm glad you are enjoying yourself, sir," Dembe said behind me

"Shush, I haven't been able to do this for years," I replied my lips curling into a soft smile

"I apologize," Dembe said with a hint of guilt

"It is no matter, my friend. So have you thought about becoming a vampire?" I asked now that I have the ring

Dembe didn't reply right away, I could hear him shuffle his feet, obviously, this was a big decision for him.

Finally, after five minutes, I heard his voice once more, "maybe in the future, right now I am content,"

I nodded, "I see, the option will always be there for you,"

I can't lie to myself, part of me is a little sad he didn't want to become a vampire right away, it feels like I am alone in this world.

I have yet to find another like me. Even though I know for a fact there is more out there somewhere.

"Thank you," Dembe replied deeply

I spun around toward him and smiled broadly, "enough about that, let's go,"

He nodded and began to head toward the car, I began to put my shirt on as I walked behind him. Today was the trial of one Walter Steele, the news was abuzz about this trial, and Walter's face has been plastered all over the media.

His trial wasn't exactly open to the public because of the thousands that would come and the danger that could arise in such as situation but, I along with my family and others are allowed to be in attendance.

Dembe and I made our way to the courthouse, as we drove I cracked open a bottle of blood I keep in the car, it was just normal human blood I realized that drinking exotic blood would be a waste more than half of the time because the benefits it provides is only for a small duration.

Besides the taste of course.

In other news, my movie is actually set to release next week, the production went well, and now I'm just running some last promotional campaigns.

I reviewed and watched the movie myself, I have to say it's as good as I remember, it was one of my favorites back in my old life.

"Sir, we are here," Dembe said as he pulled into an empty space

I nodded and got out, "stop calling me sir in private, how many times do I have to tell you?" I grumbled as we walked inside

"Many more," he replied I saw a ghost of a smirk make its way on his face

We managed to dodge all of the reporters, once we entered the room I spotted my family, they each sat calmly. At once they all turned to the door I just entered from, I could sense their hostile feelings from far away.

I paid them no mind and walked over. Moira's purse took the chair next to her, I gently picked it up and handed it to Diggle who was next to Oliver. As I sat no one said a word to me, Moira looked over and scowled, "I don't want to see you here,"

I smiled and replied, "I didn't ask for your opinion criminal,"

She looked taken aback as did the rest of my family, did they really think I would allow her to talk down to me?

Before she could respond the judge walked in and took her seat, Walter then was escorted from the side door, his hands were in cuffs.

He didn't buy a lawyer.

As he entered Moira sneered at me, "look what you have done, are you happy?" her tone had a cold bite to it

"Yes," was my short response

"Mr. Steele, I see you are going to represent yourself do you feel as if that's the best idea?" the judge asked

Walter nodded, "yes,"

"Okay. How do you plead?" she asked

"Guilty on all charges," Walter replied sadly while looking down at the floor

Before the judge could continue Walter began to speak once more, "I am guilty of wanting to better this city, the glades are a cancer that must be removed. The residents ruin this city and I and Malcolm were the cure,"

"So what if people died? They were residents of the glades! Since when did that matter?"

"ENOUGH!" The judge yelled slamming her gavel repeatedly on the table

"Walter Steele for pleading guilty to all crimes you have been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole," the Judge declared

*clap*

*clap*

*clap*

Many clapped and hugged each other in joy after hearing the verdict, I smiled and hugged Moira, "told you he wasn't innocent," I whispered in her ear

"What did you do," she hissed angrily her tone was drilling with venom

"Nothing," I replied calmly

I walked over to Thea and hugged her as well, "sucks being right all the time huh?" I said to her

Walking over to Oliver I hugged him as well, "felicity must be furious right now huh?" I told him

Turning around I made my way out of the courthouse, as Dembe and I left some reporters found us, "Mr. Queen what are your thoughts on the outcome of this trial?" one asked politely, he was neither in my face nor taking flash photography

"I am ecstatic, a man that infiltrated my company and my family has been brought to justice, a man that has ruined the lives of many, I am sure hundreds are celebrating as I answer this very question but, I will not rest until Malcolm Merlyn is brought to justice. To the residents of the glades, I know this can't make up for what he did but, he will never be able to harm another innocent person again," I answered with a smile that grew sadder the more I spoke

"How is the rest of your family dealing with this betrayal?" the reporter asked

I frowned, "not well, unfortunately, they can hardly believe it's real, especially my mother and sister,"

"Thank you for your time," the man said I smiled and nodded

On the drive home I began my emailing for the day, I need to start setting up my campaign for mayor.

Yes, mayor, that is my goal. Strangely enough, it is said most vampires are enticed by powerful roles, and I am no exception. To be mayor will grant me lots of benefits but, the benefits aren't what entices me.

The controlling of my livestock does, I can better their lives, ripen them nurture them, then feed on them.

Of course, being a political figure in DC is always smart, once high enough you gain the unique ability to call upon diplomatic immunity.

This way I can also get into the big leagues, and many would be watching my moves with interest. In the universe of Dc comics, anyone with even a little political clout gets invited to all of the fun things.

Secret villain groups, saving the world, and much more.

My main strategy is to have the people want me to be the mayor instead of running myself, it would appear like I'm more genuine that way.

In other alarming news, the particle accelerator is blowing up this year, I can hardly wait.

I wonder will I get a power?

Will I evolve?

Or will I stay the same?

Only time could tell.

-end-

A/N: soon I am going to start branching from the cannon events, I'm looking to add some interesting dynamics.

Some asked for who the Love interest is, I don't know yet tbh, choosing one is always hard for me. I will not choose his sister💀 it's weird af.
