The dark of the night was nerve-wracking `in Gotham. But this dark doesn't scare anyone in Gotham now. The siren of police cars was resounding assuring it's people that they are safe. Now a days people look towards police with respect in their eyes. Those eyes which are filled with trust and their confidence in them that they will protect them.

This city which was once filled with chaos has turned in something akin to heaven today.

No more children are abducted in daylight, no more prostitution, no thefts. No crime was reported in last month.

Gotham has changed completely. People don't live in fear now they live in a hard-earned peace. Now the children can play in streets without a care, now men can go to work and their families can be carefree cause police is out there. Students go to schools for study not to sell drugs.

By the students, did I mention that the most sought out career in Gotham is Police. Every single student in Gotham wants to be a policeman. Everything I wated or dreamed about has become a reality. I should be happy but I am not.

Gotham has changed in so many ways that I can't even fathom. People are safe, believe in police, trust law and order but I am not happy.

I should be happy as all I wanted was Gotham to be crime free and Gotham has become crime free but at what cost.

War!!!

Yes, war that has been fought in Gotham. This city has been baptised with blood of all the wicked and their families. In this war I have seen far more blood than any war veterans.

This war ignited by him and his wicked sense of justice. Those who came stop him are now resting 6 feet under or what he says "REST IN PISS". No matter who came Whether it was the politicians, criminal's, super villains, heroes all have one result a bullet in their heads.

I still remember when he breaks batman's spine in front of the Gotham.

In that day Gotham realise what a crazy police officer can do.

No, he didn't do anything out of law. All of the criminal's either died in jails, or killed by another criminal who didn't get caught.

You know batman was right he and joker doesn't have any difference. It is just that joker wanted chaos and he wanted justice and protection of Gotham.

It did not matter to him how, but all he wanted was justice for everyone. He did everything killing peoples in fake encounters, forging evidence, killing corrupt cops and blaming the gangs of Gotham, threatening the media, lawyers and judges. Killing the politicians in daylight. Killing people in jails, putting the witness's families on gun point do that they do not change their testimony.

When he transfers in Gotham, I first thought he was another of those corrupt officers who were transferred here for being the thorn in my way.

But I wasn't wrong he was a thorn but not in that way.

He was a patience and dangerous snake. He waited for decades to strike, to change the system and when he strikes everything changes.

Gotham's Street were dyed in blood but not by criminal's by police encounters. When media and human rights started to raise their voices, they were arrested of false crimes and dealt in the jails.

But the amazing thing was no one grieve over them not even their families, they said they get what they deserve.

I have seen Gotham changed in so many ways. It has started to hate its dark knight because he once saved joker from a police officers bullet. Everyone has this hatred in their eyes for the dark knight that they want to became police so that they can put a bullet in batman and Robbins heads.

I hate that man to the bone. Not because he changes Gotham with those underhanded means. No, it was something that I don't have the courage to do but he has.

No, I hate him for what he did to my daughter Barbara. She was such a good girl always eager to help. She was brilliant, intelligent everything a father can hope for. She even became a vigilant to help people.

And he crippled her. He breaks every bone in her body in so many ways that even doctors were terrified and for what because she saved Selina kyle that damn thief from getting shot.

I was their when he caught her head and slams it on the road with all his might numerous times. I was held by his police officers who did not try to save her. I only know that she was Batgirl when I remove her mask.

Now all of her body is paralysed beneath the neck. She can't speak because of trauma. She can see, hear everything but can't move. She can't call me daddy.

I know she is only alive because she is my daughter or else she would have died like Robbin.

And you know what no matter how much I hate that man I can't do anything because deep down I too know he was right that day.

"I am leaving her alive Gordan because she is your daughter, but remember today Batgirl dies. And do not blame me for her condition it was you who did this to her. If you have taken some drastic measures none of this would have happens. Shame on you Jim you are a police commissioner and your daughter is a law breaking vigilant."

And he was right if I too have taken some drastic measures peoples would be happy. If I have issued a shot on sight order of joker or any other criminal maybe it would have not happened.

It still amazes me you know, how a police officer comforting a child in a chilly dark night change so much.

The one I comforted became the dark knight of Gotham and the one he comforted became "Elijah THE BLACK KNIGHT OF JUSTICE"
