12 Chapter 12: Success! Congratulation it's a girl.

[Acnologia's Point of View]

I am currently facing my lamest yet most versatile opponent yet with Wonder Woman, the Angle Man. According to his file, he is a five foot and eleven-inch man with brown hair and eyes that weight that wears a Kickass cosplay.

I mean literally, he wears the same outfit as Kickass in the movie though it would not count as cosplay since that movie does not exist in this world... to my knowledge at least. Anyway back to his file, the reason as to why he is the most versatile opponent I have yet to face is due to his weapon.

Angle Man is a master thief and a con man who hailed from Italy and possessed the triangular, reality-warping Angler. According to Wonder Woman, Angle Man would often use this enchanted set square to evade being caught, as it allowed him to teleport and confuse would-be capturers.

The Angler is such a versatile tool in the right hand that is, and his was not. He only used it to make illusion clones of himself and make us heavier than we already are to slow us down. From what Wonder Woman said, the Angler is capable of teleporting, bending space and perspective, warping perceptions, and altering gravity.

If he had any brain, he would have altered our perception of each other to see the other as an enemy or increased the gravity so much that we could not even stand or even better, teleport out of here since he already had what he came for but not he decided to gloat.

"Can you guess which one is real and which ones are fake?"

He says taunting Wonder Woman as she is currently analyzing each one to find the fault in his illusion. I was already running out of patience since unlike Wonder Woman, I, being immune to mind control which illusion fell under, could see who the real one was and I was not just standing around doing nothing.

My shadow was silently slithering towards Angle Man and ripped the Angler from his hands faster than he could react and used the Angler to teleport away. My shadow tangled the Angler, between its numerous teeth, in front of the Angle Man while his illusion faded away.

"What? NO!"

*CRUNCH**CRUNCH**CRUNCH*

Angle Man said as he watched the Angler being eaten by the mouth that was at the end of the shadow tendril. I decided to keep the eyes with red irises closed because that would serve no purpose here.

"You! You! You Bastar- Argh!"

He yelled before getting a right hook from Wonder Woman and falling to the ground. She wore a smile as she witnessed him drolling on the floor before she turned to face me. She noticed that my shadow was twirling around me.

"That is new."

She comments.

"Yeah and before you ask it's not some dark magic or anything like that, I just channeled magic into my shadow, out of curiosity and this was the result."

I say sensing a bit of unease in her tone. Upon hearing my response, she sighs in relief. She probably thought it was some dark magic due to the look of it. I mean you would too if you saw it.

"You are always full of surprises. By the way, are you alright? You shadow ate the Angler, it is a power artifact. I am afraid that it might have some adverse effect on you."

She asks as she hands the Angle Man to the police.

"I feel fine but we can always have a magic expert check if everything is alright."

I say to which she nods and we resume our patrol of the city. When the day ended, we went to Zatara who was free and he did a check-up spell on me. It revealed that nothing abnormal was going on inside my body.

One of the things I learned from Nabue's knowledge is how to mask certain types of energy. That is how I managed to mask the Arcane Energy residue that was in my body. I was also looking forward to their face when they saw it so I altered the gravity around the chair I was sitting on.

It was priceless worth the fact that the League would now know that my shadow could take in the properties of what it ate. It did not matter to me that much since even if my enemies were to know of this, there was very little they could do if they were not on the level of Klarion.

I have also come to trust the league a tiny bit, also them knowing that I can now alter gravity, teleport, bend space, and perspective as well as warping perceptions would not matter as that can not be taken away from me.

I took some time off to train my newly acquired ability and catch them up to speed with my other skills. After that, I was able to use those abilities with my others and I managed to locate the missing Kryptonian, she was a girl and a blonde which I would not lie is kinda of my type.

So, I have a thing for blondes... Sue me? Superman almost shrieked when he heard the good news. I also confirmed that he was always holding back because the hug he gave me shattered half of my ribs. Thankfully, my amp-up Healing Factor took care of that in a matter of seconds.

It took two months of preparation making sure that I would only bring her along with her pod and nothing extra. It might sound overkill but I do not want to be the cause of an alien virus spreading through Earth due to my failure... my ego could not handle this.

Batman seemed to be mildly impressed by the preparation that I had taken from what every League Member has spoken about him is akin to a standing ovation. This meant one thing, Batman managed to find a way to hide part if not most of his intention from my Observation Haki... clever girl.

Speaking of which, he had four league members, founding members at that, be present during my Kryptonian retrieval spell in case things went sideways. As one would expect from me, it did not go wrong and Earth gained a teenage Kryptonian as a resident.

She slept for four days before waking up. Luckily, Superman had just arrived when she woke up, she eased up after seeing her face, and with the help of Green Lantern, we were able to find more about her.

Her name is Kara Zor-El, and she is Superman's cousin, of course, she is fifteen years old, a year older than me and she was sent to the Phantom Zone, the place where she was, due to her Father's last-ditch effort to save her from Krypton's inevitable demise.

We learned that the Phantom Zone was a place where Kryptonians housed their most dangerous criminals and before they began to debate on whether they should be set free or not I busted their bubble when I informed them that even if they wanted me to free the other Kryptonian, I would need their blood or someone else related to them to locate them.

Batman proposed that until they had a way to reach the Phantom Zone its existence would be concealed or classified as he put it. He did not want the rest of the world attempting to breach into that interdimensional prison and free convicted killers by accident.

The vote was unanimous as even Superman shuddered at the thought of seeing multiple evil versions of himself in layman's terms but he did add that he hoped that the league could find a place for them as he was sure that most of them already served their sentence.

[Third Person's Point of View]

In the city of Gotham, underneath the famous Wayne mansion lies a reinforced cave with a lot of vehicles, gadgets, and costumes whose designs are bat-centered. Hundreds of bats can be seen on the ceiling of the cave. There also lies a giant screen that is part of a high-tech computer.

In front of that computer was a man sitting in a mostly grey and black tactical suit with a cowl that had a Bat-like ear at the end of it. He wore a yellow utility belt on his waist and had the symbol of a bat on the chest area of his suit. He is currently typing on the keys of the computer with his cowl off as he speaks.

"This is Batman, security level omega password: DeltaCharlie-27-5-1939. Agamemno Contingency if these contingency plans are discovered in the wake of my being incapacitated, PLEASE understand… This HAD to BE DONE for EACH and EVERYONE of US...

-Agamemno contingency file code name Sea Dragon:

If the individual known as Triton ever turns rogue the following protocol must be followed to neutralize him. Although Triton is currently sixteen years of age, he possesses one of the most versatile range of abilities that I have ever encountered if not the most on planet Earth.

He can use various forms of magic as well as dangerous hydrokinesis abilities to complement his fighting style. He is skilled in close-quarter combat and the danger of such skill is severely amplified by his unique Meta-Atlantean physiology which grants him enhanced senses among other things.

He possesses a sharp mind that allows him to stay calm in most situations. Although he seems arrogant most of the time, he rarely underestimates his opponent. He will not fall for a common taunt against his ego, if he has the upper hand he will not let it go to prove his superiority but use it instead and achieve the quickest victory possible. If he sees an opening, he will use it.

He also possesses a shadow manipulation skill that can extend itself, it is sharp enough to cut through diamonds as well as magic but the scariest part of this ability is its property to absorb the abilities of whatever it ate and transfer it to its user.

Due to this, he acquired the abilities to alter gravity, teleport, bend space, and perspective as well as warping perceptions.

He also possesses compatibility with multiple types of magic which goes well with his ability to absorb it, whether it is passive or active has yet to be determined but if it is the former then it cancels out the use of magic to restrain him.

His most dangerous ability yet to be witnessed is his ability to transmute the properties of the matter that he touches. This means that depending on his knowledge he could convert his surroundings into the very element that is the weakness of his opponent.

Through this ability, he can also take the life essence of his target and convert it into a Philosopher stone, a magic object that has numerous legends surrounding it and amplifies this same ability. With the Philosopher stone, he no longer needs to clap his hands together to perform transmutation.

To neutralize him, you must immobilize his limbs and keep him in a dark space to prevent him from using his Shadow which I presume can also use transmutation as well as unconscious. Even if this might sound oversimplified, he can not be killed as he possesses diplomatic immunity.

His death could cause the start of a war with Atlantis and possibly the rest of the sunken Kingdoms. He required someone of the level of Superman and Wonder Woman to be defeated in a strength-base or combat-base battle.

An altered version of Scarecrow's Fear Toxin, which would cause Hydrophobia, causing him to refrain from any body of water and become weaker every second could be a viable choice but it would need to be administered with the capacity to prevent him from using transmutation.

It is also plausible that due to his Meta-Atlantean physiology, he would be less vulnerable to a lack of water, further distant observations are required before a conclusion is made. A new possible contingency is arising as I have noted that the subject Sea Dragon has begun to spend more time with one particular individual.

Observations so far have shown that they seem to be getting along. If one were to use this relation in the midst of battle or take his necklace from him, that would cause him to become very emotional which I have noted weakens his empathic ability as well as six senses.

Such a method is a possibility but I do caution against it and use it as an absolute last resort as depending on his state of mind, he might become even more difficult to deal with. It has yet to be seen, I theorize that he could perform an incomplete transmutation upon someone, deconstructing but not reconstructing, and thus killing them."
