10 Adjusting
Two months have gone by since Drystans first mission.
The first few days after his killing of Rob Foreman, Drystan was a little out of it.
He wasn't full of regret or horrified at what he had done, just shocked at how easily he could take someone's life.
He was only in contact with Rob for a couple seconds before leaving. Yet, what he left behind was a corpse instead of a man.
After his few days of thought he got right back into killing in an attempt to get used to it.
And it did. Every time he took a life the past two months the less he cared about the life and the more he cared about making sure no blood got on his clothes.
He started thinking that he should have taken after deadpool and wore red, but after thinking about it, red isn't the most stealthy color.
Since then he has kept himself busy.
He had 1 clone maintaining his website.
He had 1 clone that is his alibi when hes out on missions.
He had 3 clones follow Barbara Gordon, Jonathan Crane, and Stephanie Brown.
Drystan found out some really interesting information from this.
He had 2 clones working for his company. His disguise skills were quite good so he made them his assistants and had them take care of things.
He had 6 clones working as assassins in the Main Super Cities being Coast City, Metropolis, Star City, Central City, Midway City, and National City.
He himself was in Gotham so he didn't need to keep one there for assassinations as he would do it.
He also had 2 join powerful groups so that he would have inside information. These groups are the League of assassins, and Argus.
The league of assassins is allegedly the best group of assassins in the world so he wants to see how their skills measure up to his.
While it's simpler to keep track of all the super people with Argus as they are already doing it for him.
The other 5 have a more unique mission though.
They are going around the world creating their own assassin organization under the name of the Strangers Hidden Sorrow and training them to be strong and loyal.
It is a long term mission so he wasn't expecting fast results. He didn't have a superpower for brainwashing after all so he had to do it the old fashioned way which took time.
But even if the only active assassins in his organization are his clones, the Strangers have been gaining some fame in the darker circles for never failing to hit their mark.
When they have new recruits in the future, to use the Strangers name they will have to become a 4 star assassin at the minimum.
That was just what he got up to in private.
From a more public perspective, Drystan was a polite, handsome, and smart young man who spent all of his time working.
Drystan was currently at home sitting at his computer laughing his ass off.
After Drystan killed Rob ,the girl he was assaulting though dazed was still conscious enough to see him and when she was asked who killed him she said "It was a man with a skull for a face and red eyes that did it."
That was almost word for word how people tend to describe black mask.
Of course Penguin didn't think that Black Mask came to his club to kill a low level goon but he thought that one of his False Face minions probably did.
So for the past two months although it never escalated to a gang war, there has been fights between the two groups.
It was only yesterday that they found out it was Drystan, not his real identity just his alias.
The Boogeyman they called him.
Drystan was honored to take the Boogeyman as his assassin name as it reminded him of the legend himself John Wick.
A couple days ago when he went out on a job he had a run in with Batman.
Drystan wanted to test the waters with Batman to see how he would react after seeing him so he allowed Batman to catch a glimpse of him before vanishing.
But Batman's reaction disappointed him as besides trying to track him down the only thing batman did was let penguin know that it wasn't black masks people that was killing.
I mean he prevented a gang war but Drystan was hoping for a bigger reaction.
Now that he thought about it, Batman probably did the only things he could as he had no way of finding Drystan.
That's alright because in a few days he should be able to get his hands on the Batcomputer.
After that it's only a matter of time before he knows what's in it.
He wouldn't be surprised if half the Justice Leagues real identities and weaknesses were on that thing considering how famously paranoid Batman was.
After having his clones follow Stephanie Brown he already knows the location of the Batcave as he learned the Miss Brown was Batgirl.
He also Learned that Barbara was a new hero that goes by the Oracle.
She really couldn't physically do much but her Computer skills were top notch and she could make the other heroes life's considerably easier with her information.
After he found these out he decided to keep his clones on Miss Brown and Barbara, because even though he didn't need to learn their secret identities anymore, Drystan was worried about their safety as they are the two people he's been the closest too since he started his Dc life.
His third clone was still following Jonathan Crane as well.
Jonathan had been fired not even a week ago because he fired a weapon in his classroom to teach them about fear.
Since then he has been working on perfecting his fear toxin and had Drystan wondering if he should do something about it.
He wasn't planning on being a hero but he could at least let one of the heroes know when shits about to go down.
It's only been a couple months but Drystan has been quickly adjusting to his new life as an assassin and soon as his own organization grows in strength. He will have his own foothold in the world and people around the world will start to truly fear the 'Boogeyman'.
