1 The First Encounter

EUNJI

I let out a sigh stepping out of the car, it was such a nice day I would rather be sitting by Han River or hanging out somewhere else. But instead, I was here at the shopping centre on my way to buy things in preparation for a move that I didn't even want to do.

"Come on," Jiyeon, my sister encouraged.

"I'm coming," I sighed following behind her along the footpath.

She was in a really good mood which was a little unlike her, at least to be in this good a mood but I think she was just excited to have her own space. We walked up the footpath towards the entrance doors, passing shop fronts, a few banks and a gym. Well, we would have passed the gym if Jiyeon hadn't stopped in her tracks and frowned into the window.

"What are you doing?" I frowned.

"I thought I recognised someone," she said as she continued to stare.

"Who?"

"Someone I mean a few weeks ago," she shrugged.

"Which one?" I asked a little curious.

"That one," she pointed out a built stranger just inside the window, his jet black hair bounced as he jogged on the treadmill. He was talking to the blond jogging next to him.

"I wouldn't have guessed he was your type,"

"Why not?" she gave me a side glance.

"For starters, he looks like he only drinks protein shakes," I stated at the same time he stumbled and almost fell off of the machine, he managed to regain his balance.

"Clearly not enough," Jiyeon laughed, so did his blonde friend.

"I think he should be consuming more vitamins than just protein, he doesn't seem like the smartest guy. Where did you meet him?" I asked.

The black haired man frowned at us, there was a flash of recognition followed by a smirk directed at Jiyeon. He turned to his friend and said something before getting off of the treadmill and collecting his things, his friend frowned but followed him anyway.

"Okay, type to go," Jiyeon grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the shopping centre.

"Why are you running from someone you know?" I frowned at her when we stopped in the centre of the intersecting halls, cornered by two coffee shops, a pharmacy, and a news agency.

"I said we had met, I never said I knew him. Where is Gunwoo's list?" she asked changing the subject.

"Here," I pulled the slip of paper from my back pocket handing it to her.

"Why does he think we will need all of this?" she frowned.

"No idea, I just wrote down what he said," I shrugged.

"Seriously?" she sighed to herself looking over my shoulder.

I turned to follow her gaze and noticed the two from the gym entering the shopping centre, the scanned the sea of consumers. I assumed the black haired boy was looking for Jiyeon.

"Stalkers, let's start from the top of the list and work our way down," Jiyeon shrugged leading me towards the homeware store.

"Why is he following you?"

"Who knows," she shrugged it off.

It didn't take long in the store, Gunwoo had just wanted some new sheets and a throw rug, but Jiyeon had decided that we should get some new quilt covers while we were in there because it would be nice, we ended up with some curtains too because the cashier had informed Jiyeon on a great deal. I had almost forgotten about the gym duo until we left the store and they were leaning against the wall.

"Hey," the black haired boy smiled, Jiyeon just looked at him with a blank expression and continued walking.

"Where are you off too?" The blond asked keeping up easily.

"We have things to do?" Jiyeon said, making no indication with her face that she was actually acknowledging them.

"Mind if we join you?" Black Hair asked, Jiyeon stopped suddenly, paused and turned to look at him for a while.

"You can say no if you like, but we have nothing better to do today, so I mean we might just go the same way as you, all day," he smiled innocently.

"I don't remember your name," she said disregarding the fact he had just spoken, I realised that was the reason she had paused, she was trying to remember his name.

"I thought you said you'd met?"

"We have, that doesn't mean I remember his name," Jiyeon shrugged.

"We only met briefly, in the bathroom of a club," he smirked, winking at her.

"Hey, don't be crude," Jiyeon frowned at him.

"My bad, I'm Insoo, and this blonde bombshell over here is my friend Seyong,"

"Jiyeon," she shrugged.

"I remember your name," he nodded.

"And you are?" Seyong turned his attention to me.

"My sister," Jiyeon stated protectively.

"That's an odd name," Seyong raised an eyebrow.

"I'm Eunji," my voice came out very mousy.

"So, now that we're all acquainted, is it okay for us to tag along?"

"I supposed it would be alright, as long as you behave yourself,"

"Don't take me anywhere I can misbehave and it's a deal," he smirked.

"I can keep your sister preoccupied," Seyong winked at me.

"No," I shook my head awkwardly. He frowned at me with a confused expression.

"What?"

"Not going to happen," Jiyeon stated seriously.

Seyong fell silent and semi-glared at Jiyeon and then frowned at me as if the word 'no' was a completely foreign concept to him. He continued with his stares as we made out way through the centre heading in and out of different shops to collect the things that Gunwoo had me write down for our move. After a few hours, we decided to sit and have lunch, which Insoo had kindly insisted on paying for.

"So, what's with the shopping spree?" Insoo asked trying to make conversation.

"We're girls, do we need a reason?" she shrugged.

"I guess not, it's just an odd collection of things for what my understanding of a shopping spree normally is,"

"And what is your understanding of a spree?"

"Usually clothes, things that smell like flowers or berries, maybe some makeup here and there," he shrugged.

"Not household items like curtain rods and tap," Insoo continued.

"Sounds like an interesting night ahead if you ask me," Seyong smirked in my direction.

"We needed some things before we moved house," Jiyeon seethed at him.

"Oh, you're moving?"

"That's what I said,"

"Let's play a game," Seyong smirked.

INSOO

It was clear that the girls were already uncomfortable with Seyongs comments, and if I knew him at all, which I did, this game would only make them more uncomfortable. But that wouldn't bother him in the slightest, he seems to have gotten a little stuck on the fact that Eunji had said no to him, and now he had his sights set on her. In my experience Seyong's attention was something girls would swoon over, however, I think Seyong's attention was the last thing that Eunji wanted.

"What kind of game?" Jiyeon asked carefully.

"How about we all share two facts about ourselves, one true and one a lie and the rest of us have to guess which is true?" I jumped in before Seyong could speak.

"Not the type of game I had in mind," Seyong huffed at me.

"I know, but the type of game you had in mind isn't really appropriate for a food court of a crowded shopping centre, is it?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Whatever," he rolled his eyes at me.

JIYEON

"So?" Insoo turned his attention back towards me.

"I'm in," I nodded putting down my chopsticks.

"Who's first?" he asked

"It's your game, you go first,"

"Okay, I'm incredibly good looking, and you're actually in love with me," he winked at me.

"I thought there was supposed to be a truth?" I shot back.

"You're sassier than I remember," he nodded.

"That's true," I nodded.

"You turn,"

"Do I have a twin or have I been arrested before?" I asked.

"As attractive as you having a twin would be, I think you're more accustomed to being in handcuffs," Insoo smirked at me.

"I said arrested, I didn't mention my affiliation with handcuffs," I stated momentarily forgetting Eunji was at the table.

"Two of you," Seyong nodded.

"I never said my twin was a female," I shook my head.

"I still say you were arrested," Insoo shrugged.

"No way, there is no way she couldn't talk her way out of being arrested, she definitely has a twin," Seyong stated.

"Well?" Insoo raised an eyebrow.

"Seyong's right,"

"You have a twin?" there was a fire in his eyes.

"Again, I never said my twin was a girl,"

"Right,"

"Don't look so disappointed,"

"Seyong?" Insoo turned to his friend.

EUNJI

Seyong thought about it for a moment, then looked directly at me with a slight smirk. I didn't like the look he was giving me, honestly, I didn't like the attention he was giving me. He was attractive, sure, but that didn't make up for his personality.

"We're training to be idols," he stated casually, I was a little surprised that something so G-rated had come out of his mouth.

"Or, I'm not extremely talented in the bedroom," he winked.

"They both sounds like lies to me, I mean that's not exactly idol behaviour and someone who is skilled in the bedroom doesn't need to brag about it," Jiyeon stated giving Seyong a hard look.

"Eunji, your turn," Insoo interjected quickly.

I paused for a minute weighing my options; I didn't want to play this game, it seemed like an okay idea before Seyong decided to open his mouth. But if I didn't play I was sure that it would just start unnecessary drama.

"Um," I thought about something I could say, I started fidgeting my fingers as the anxiety rose in my stomach.

"You don't have to play, we've finished eating why don't we get back to shopping," Jiyeon stated noticing my reluctance.

"That's not fair, we all went," Seyong stated.

"I'm just thinking," I mumbled.

"It's not that hard," Seyong shook his head annoyed.

"Bro, relax," Insoo stated.

"Whatever," Seyong sighed getting up from the table.

"Where are you going?" Insoo frowned.

"To the bathroom," Seyong threw over his shoulder.

"Sorry about him, he seems to be a little moody today,"

"A little?" Jieyon raised an eyebrow.

"We've been a bit stressed recently with the training," he nodded.

"So you are training to be idols, I could have sworn that was the lie," Jiyeon smirked.

"No, we're definitely training to be idols, we've been training for what seems like forever,"

"Just the two of you? Isn't that more of a duo than a group?"

"There are 5 of us, we're actually supposed to move into our dorm together next week sometime," Insoo pulled his phone from his pocket and scrolled through what I assumed to be photos when he handed it to Jiyeon.

"No way, this is your group?" Jiyeon asked, her expression shifting between a frown and a smirk.

"Yeah, why?"

"No reason," Jiyeon quickly composed herself showing me the photo.

I understood her reaction the minute I saw the photo, true to Insoo's work there were 5 guys, Insoo, Seyong, two guys that looked vaguely familiar but that could just be because they looked like someone I knew, then there was the member. He had a face I knew all too well; Gunwoo. This meant, that not only did I have to move, but I had to live with Seyong. I mean I knew that I would be living with Gunwoo's group members, but I didn't think they would be anything like Seyong.

"See, you really should be nice to us before we become too famous to be friends with you," Seyong appeared at the table.

"I don't want to be friends with you, I have enough friends and Eunji has her own mini group of idols, I'm pretty sure we're not going to cry if we miss the chance of being friends with you," Jiyeon shot back.

"Why did you find that," Seyong turned to Insoo.

"That?" Jiyeon raised an eyebrow.

"We should really get the rest of the stuff," I mumbled.

"Come on then," Jiyeon stood up from the table.

The mood grew lighter as we continued through the centre marking things off the list. By the time we had everything, it had grown dark outside. I pulled my phone from my pocket, it was odd to not hear from Gunwoo for this long, especially when it was getting dark.

(3) Missed Calls

"Uh, Ji we should probably get home," I frowned, a cold pit formed in my stomach.

"Did our brother message?" she asked.

"I have 3 missed calls from him,"

"Okay, why don't you call him back and tell him we're about to leave?"

"Okay," I nodded.

JIYEON

Eunji walked away from the group to make a phone call, I wasn't a fan of the way Seyong was looking at her like she was some kind of challenge to be conquered. I can guarantee that she was nothing like the girls he was used to, and even if he could convince her to sleep with him, he would have to fight me first.

"You're twin brother?" Insoo raised his eyebrow.

"I don't have a twin brother," I shrugged.

"You said your twin wasn't a girl,"

"I said I never said that my twin was a girl, but I also didn't say she wasn't,"

"I'm so confused, do you have a twin sister or twin brother?" he frowned.

"Sister,"

"Why didn't you just say that?"

"You didn't ask," I shrugged.

"So, do you want help to carry this home?" he offered sincerely.

"What kind of crazy person buys all this to carry it home?" I frowned.

"Just trying to help,"

"I guess you can help put it in the car," I shrugged.

EUNJI

"We can do that, there are some serious creeps around here," Insoo gave a genuine smile. At least I think it was genuine.

"Can do what?" I frowned.

"They're going to help up put our stuff in the car," Jiyeon informed me.

"Oh," I nodded.

"You're welcome," Seyong stated sarcastically.

I didn't know what his problem was. Maybe he has bipolar, I mean, 1 second he's all happy, joking, and flirty, then the next he is moody and mean. I get that he's attractive, there was no denying it, physically he was so attractive, but his personality was so ugly.

"Thanks?" Jiyeon shot back with the same sarcastic voice.

"So, what are the chances of me getting your number before you drive off into the sunset?" Insoo asked casually as we put everything in the back of the car.

"I don't like to give my number out, I mean, what if you like call me?" she shuddered.

"That would be how we get to know each other,"

"Oh, gross, no, "

"I'm gross?" Insoo tilted his head confused.

"No, the idea of getting to know someone I've slept with is gross," she was putting on an act. If she wasn't interested in knowing him, she wouldn't have let him come shopping with us, and she did that before she knew who he was.

"You know more about me now than you did this morning," he pointed out.

"I know, I feel nauseous just thinking about it," she shuddered again.

"You're kind of a bitch," Seyong stated.

"More than kind of," Jiyeon smiled sweetly.

"Where did you find her?" he frowned at Insoo.

"Let's go Eunji," she smiled at me, I was already getting into the passenger seat.

"You're really not going to give me your number? After the amazing day we've had together," Insoo shook his head sadly.

"I'm sure we will see each other around," Ji shrugged getting into the driver's seat.

"I thought you were moving?"

"Maybe I'll come to one of your fan meetings," she acted all giddy.

"You ladies be careful, it's dark and there are some real weirdos out here, we were stalked around the shopping centre," she winked starting the car.

"I know what you mean, we hat to creeps stare us down while we were innocently working out in the gym," Insoo shot back.

"Maybe they were checking their reflection?"

"Maybe they were checking us out?" Seyong commented.

"More like making fun of you," she shot back.

"So you admit you were looking at us?"

"I admit nothing, see you around,"

"Wait seriously?" Insoo frowned realising Jiyeon hadn't been joking about not giving him her number.

"Seriously," she smiled and waved as she reversed out of the car space.

"You're so cruel," I chuckled.

"He'll get over it when he realised he gets to live with me. That poor guy, I can see he's already in love with me," she shook her head.

~~Moving Day.

I let out a sigh, I still didn't want to open my eyes. If I didn't open my eyes I wasn't awake, and that meant that I didn't have to move yet. I was nervous enough about moving into a house full of people I didn't know, I'm way more nervous knowing I was going to be living under the same roof as Seyong.

"Come on Eunji, I know you're awake. You stopped snoring twenty minutes ago," Gunwoo walking into the room Jiyeon and I share, shared.

"I don't snore," I sighed sitting up.

"You kind of snore, but she's been awake for over an hour, not just twenty minutes" Jiyeon came in behind him to get some more boxes.

She'd been walking in and out of our room all morning, they had put all of the boxed in the front room so that the removalists could better access them. Jiyeon was good at organisation so this was all so easy for her, and moving meant the next step in Gunwoo's career so it wasn't hard for him either.

But this was a huge struggle for me, dealing with change wasn't my strong point and dealing with people I didn't know was something I was even worse at. I was trying to keep it all together for them but this was really hard for me to process. I am used to living as just the three of us, we've been living as just the three of us for so long that I barely remembered a time before that.

Now I have to not only move out of my house, my safe space, my comfort zone, but I have to live in a house with five people I didn't know, three I haven't even met. It was driving me crazy.

"I know this is hard and not ideal for you, but I need to move into the dorm, and with Jiyeon only being there part time and you not doing well being left on your own, there aren't really many options. I promise to try and make this as easy for you as possible," Gunwoo gave me his big brother look which made me feel guilty for acting like a brat.

"I'll tell you what, if after two weeks it's completely unbearable, you can come and live in my apartment, but you have to try and make an effort," Jiyeon offered.

She had gotten an apartment near her university so that she had her own space, she planned on staying at the dorm some nights, I'm pretty sure she was only doing that for my sake though. I know she craved her own space, so as much as I would have loved to consider that as a fall back to this move turning into the complete disaster that I was sure it was going to be, I couldn't bring myself to.

"I'm sure I'll be fine once I've settled in," I sighed reluctantly.

"That's the spirit, come on, the removalists will be here soon and you're still in your Minnie Mouse pyjamas," Gunwoo ruffled my bed hair.

"Fine," I sighed again.

We pulled into the driveway because the dorm wasn't just a dorm, it was a two-story house.

From my knowledge companies don't usually give rookie groups a two-story house for a dorm, which had me thinking that Gunwoo had something to do with it.

"It doesn't look like anyone is here yet, why don't we go look around? Maybe someone is inside, I'll introduce you before I go and meet the removalists," Gunwoo stated swinging his car keys around his index finger.

"I can go, I have to take them to the apartment anyway," Jiyeon stated

"Yeah but," he paused glancing quickly at me.

"But Jiyeon is better at handling my attacks then you are?" I offered an answer.

"Something like that," he nodded.

"Let's go," Jiyeon stated heading towards the front door.

The front door opened to a wide hallway, to the left were sliding room dividers, they were closed so I wasn't sure what was on the other side. To the right was a staircase that leads upstairs. we followed the hallway down, behind the staircase was a rectangular nook with three doors, Gunwoo opened on and put his shoes inside, There were already two sets in there which had me wondering if someone else was already here. Curiosity got the best of me and I peeked behind the other two doors, one lead to the garage, the other to a toilet with a sink.

We continued down the hallway to an open plan style kitchen and living area, there was an arch in the kitchen that leads into the screened off room that appeared to be the dining room. In the empty living space sat two boys, one with jet black hair, the other with a colour that seemed to sit between black and brown.

"Hello," the boy with the in-between hair stood up to greet us. The boy with Jet black hair followed his lead.

"Hey, is it just you two here so far?" Gunwoo asked casually.

"Yep, the other two had a dance lesson," Jet black nodded.

"Okay, oh, these are my sisters, Eunji and Jiyeon, this is JunQ and Chaejin. They're the youngest out of our group, Chaejin is actually the same age as you," Gunwoo introduced.

"Nice to meet you," they both smiled.

INSOO

"What do you think Gunwoo's sisters are like?" Seyong asked casually, but there was a smirk forming on his face.

"Bro, no," I shook my head.

"What? We're going to be living with them, is it so wrong of me to wonder what they're like?"

"I don't think you mean their personality so much as you mean ho they are in the bedroom,"

"I wouldn't say no," he shrugged.

"Yes, you will, because like you said, we're going to be living with them, and they are Gunwoo's sisters. Unless you're willing to jeopardise our debut, I would suggest staying away from them," I pointed out.

"I'm more worried about them falling for me," he smirked as we got out of the car.

"Are you sure this is the dorm?" I frowned at our manager who just nodded.

"I guess our company just loves up," Seyong shrugged strolling up the porch to the front door.

We walked in, there was some faint chatting coming from down towards the back of the house. I was assuming Chaejin and JunQ were already here, then I head females' voices which made me think that Gunwoo was here too.

EUNJI

We were sitting with JunQ and Chaejin on the living room floor waiting for Gunwoo to get back with the removalists. I heard the front door and assumed it was him back until I seen Seyong and Insoo turn the corner followed by a larger gentleman I was assumed was their manager.

Insoo frowned, looking between Jiyeon and me, clearly not understanding why we were here.

"Um, hi?" Insoo waved awkwardly.

"And we stalked them?" Seyong raised an eyebrow.

"Why are you here?" Inso asked still frowning.

"Oh, we date these two, we thought they might need some help. We didn't know you guys were friends," Jiyeon pointed at JunQ and Chaejin.

Jiyeon had thought it would be funny to confuse Insoo some more, JunQ was supportive of the idea, Chaejin and I just didn't say no. Chaejin had looked familiar to me, I realised why when I found out that we went to the same university, we were actually in a few of the same classes. It was actually a relief that JunQ and Chaejin where so relaxed, especially with Jiyeon only being here a few days a week.

"Do you guys want to come and help the... oh hey," Gunwoo came wondering in behind Seyong and Insoo.

"Ah, this is Seyong and Insoo, the other two in our group," Gunwoo introduced.

"You know these two?" Insoo raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, these are my sisters', Eunji and Jiyeon,"

"So they're not dating JunQ and Chejin?" Insoo frowned.

"They only just met," Gunwoo looked at him like he was an idiot.

"Dude, she was screwing with you," Seyong patted his friend's shoulder.

"Do you know each other?" Gunwoo looked between the four of us.

"We met while we were out shopping the other day, I recognised them. I told you we would run into each other," She smiled sweetly at Insoo who still looked a little confused.

"Alright kids, let's get these rooms assigned, the removalists can just put everything in the dining room," their manager stated.

We made out way upstairs, we stopped at the top in the rectangular space that led into each of the rooms. to the left were two bedrooms with the bathroom in between. The manager had appointed the first room to Insoo and Seyong, the second to himself and Gunwoo. Next to the second room was a laundry, next to that was the third room which was given to Chaejin and JunQ. Finally, the master bedroom with walk-in wardrobes and an ensuite, which was appointed to myself and Jiyeon. This information didn't sit well with Seyong at all.

"Okay I don't even understand why those two are moving in with us to start with, but now they're getting the master bedroom and their own bathroom? Can someone please explain to me why they are getting preferential treatment?" he raised an eyebrow, semi glaring at us like we had done something wrong.

"Bro, they're female. They need their own privacy, without the fear of a guy they don't know walking in on them naked," Insoo stated when their manager didn't offer a reason.

"So? Lock the door, it's a little sexist to be treating them differently because their girls, don't you think?" Seyong tried to be diplomatic.

"You know all about sexism," Insoo commented.

"The girls get the room because Gunwoo requested it, and he has offered to pay the rent out of his personal savings,"

"So why didn't you just get them their own house?" Seyong seemed offended by this information.

"Because then we would be living in a one bedroom apartment where you still wouldn't get your own room and you would be sharing one room with the rest of us," Gunwoo shrugged.

"Whatever," Seyong rolled his eyes walking towards his room.

"Is there anything particular that you guys would like for dinner?" I asked the boys who were

putting furniture together in the living room.

"Is Jiyeon going with you?"

"She went to her apartment 20 minutes ago," I shook my head.

"Then who's going with you?"

"No one," I shrugged.

"No, it's getting too dark for you to go by yourself," he shook his head.

"There is a market five minutes down the street," I stated.

"A lot can happen in five minutes, we can just order something," he shook his head.

"Are we going to order breakfast too? I'm not really in the mood for delivery," I sighed.

"A home cooked meal would be so nice," Chaejin agreed.

"You will have to wait until I've finished putting this together and I'll go with you,"

"Seyong," Insoo called as Seyong walked behind me to the kitchen.

"Yeah,"

"What are you doing right now?"

"Looking for food?" he shrugged.

"Oh good, can you go with Eunji down the street to get some stuff for dinner?" I suddenly wasn't in the mood for food.

"Why don't we just order something if we don't have food here?"

"Because home cooked food is better than delivery food," he pointed out.

"Fine," he rolled his eyes.

"Is fine, Gunwoo said he would go with me," I mumbled.

"Then why are you asking me?"Seyong frowned at his friend.

"Because by the time we've finished putting this together you could have gone and come back," Insoo shrugged.

"I mean if you want to wait longer for food then be my guest," he added.

"Let's go," he rolled his eyes again.

"What? No, I'll wait," I shooked my head.

"Eunji, you'll be fine," Gunwoo gave me a supportive smile. It didn't help.

"I would rather you go now than wait for it to be any darker," he added.

"Okay," I sighed.

I reluctantly followed Seyong out the front door, it's not that I was ungrateful, I would just rather avoid him and his short-tempered outbursts. It's not something that I'm comfortable with and I'm not really sure what even set's him off at this point. We left the house silent and I let out a sigh.

"Are you always such a good girl?" he asked with a slight smirk.

"What?" I frowned.

"You do what you're told when you're told to do it, is that always the way you are?"

"I just don't like to argue with people," I shrugged.

"So you find it easier to turn into a puppet?"

"I'm not a puppet," I sighed.

"You could have fooled me," he commented, it can't be difficult to do I thought to myself.

I chose to stay quiet the rest of the way to the market, I responded to him but tried not to entertain his comments while I gathered things for dinner. I would have stayed completely silent if I wasn't worried that would annoy him.

We were almost home when he grabbed my wrist and spun me into his chest, in the same motion he turned himself around and before I knew it he had me between his body and a brick wall.
