4 Bad Behavior and Bar Girls

EUNJI

"Do you want some help with that?" I raised an eyebrow.

Insoo was in the kitchen trying to cook, I don't even know what, whatever it was supposed to be he was frowning at it.

"It's beyond saving," he shook his head emptying the contents into the bin.

"What was it supposed to me?"

"I have no idea, I just started adding things to the pot, it works for Jiyeon,"

"That's because Jiyeon is some kind of kitchen wizard, why don't we just cook rice and pull out whatever leftovers look good?" I suggested.

"I can cook rice," he nodded slowly, he didn't look sure.

"How about I cook the rice and you set the table?" I offered.

"I like that plan better," he nodded.

"Do you want me to show you?"

"No, I know how to set a table," he frowned.

"I meant how to cook the rice?" I laughed.

"Oh, sure,"

"It's not hard, you just have to wash the rice then press a few buttons,"

"I just by instant rice," he shrugged.

I washed the rice and showed him how to use the rice cooker, then I reheated some leftovers and gathered a few side dishes while he set the table.

"Where is everyone else?"

"JunQ and Chaejin are at school, Gunwoo had a meeting with our CEO, Seyong I'm not really sure the dance studio maybe," he shrugged.

"Has he stopped bothering you?" he added.

"Seyong?" I asked.

"Mm," he nodded.

I didn't want lie to him but at the same time I didn't want to cause any problems between Insoo and Seyong, and I definitely didn't want to say anything that would affect the group in any way.

"Yeah," I nodded, it wasn't exactly a lie. Seyong hadn't really bothered me in the last day and a half, that might have something to do with not being around him but I still didn't lie.

"If he does bother you just tell me, he can be a little much to handle sometimes, but he is a good person really," Insoo stated as we sat down at the table to eat.

"It's been reheated and it still smells so good," he hummed.

"There isn't anyone who's cooking even compares to Ji's" I agreed.

"Not even your mums?" he asked catching me off guard.

"Ah, not. She wasn't really big on cooking," I shrugged.

"Did she work a lot?" he asked casually.

"No, she was always home, she just didn't like to cook," I started trying to think of something to say to veer the conversation away from my parents.

"So your dad did the cooking then?"

"No, he was always at work," I shook my head.

"Oh," he frowned.

"So, you and Jiyeon? Do you think anything will happen between you?" I asked this time my question seemed to catch him off guard.

"Um, I don't know. Did she say something?"

"No, I was just curious," I shrugged.

"Did she know who we were before she agreed to let us follow you around the shopping centre?"

"I'm pretty sure she didn't know you were in the same group as Gunwoo until you showed her the photo," I stated, picking at my food.

"Has she always been the smarted person in the room?" I think he was trying to make a joke.

"You could say that; she started the year before I did and graduated earlier than everyone else our age. She was accepted to almost all of the universities she applied to, including two abroad, but she decided to stay here instead. I think that had more to do with Gunwoo and Me than what she wanted," I shrugged.

"Wow,"

"Yep," I nodded.

"She probably thinks I'm a little dumb,"

"Well, your fall on the treadmill probably didn't help your cause," I pointed out.

"Maybe I was just distracted by her beauty?" he sounded serious but I laughed anyway.

"Too cheesy?"

"Definitely," I nodded and we both laughed as Seyong walked in the front door.

"What are you to laughing at?" Seyong frowned.

"Insoo's horrible pickup lines," I shook my head at Insoo.

"Sorry," I frowned realising that may have sounded rude.

"Oh no, feel free to talk to me casually," he smiled, I noticed Seyong glaring at him from the corner of my eye.

"Well, you cooked, so I'll clean," I gathered the dishes to leave the table before either of them could say anything.

I felt more than uncomfortable under the fog of awkward tension that seemed to be suffocating the table that I must have stood up too quickly. I gave myself a dizzy spell, my whole body swayed and I definitely would have fallen if Insoo hadn't of grabbed my waist to stabilize me.

"Are you okay?" he frowned, hands still on my waist.

"Uh, yeah, I just stood too fast," I nodded stepping out of his grasp.

"Be careful,"

"Mm, thanks," I made a quick exit.

"What was that?" Seyong snapped.

"What?" Insoo questioned his friend.

"What happened to the bro code?"

"What are you talking about? I just helped her from falling,"

"You want me to believe that?"

"Okay, what's your issue?" Insoo sigh.

I think they forgot that the dining room wasn't that far from the kitchen, and the door was open, and even if it wasn't I'm sure I would be able to hear them from the living room because their private conversation was rather loud.

"You're trying to collect sisters, you slept with Jiyeon now you've set your next target to her. I've already made it clear that I'm interested so stop,"

"Seyong, I haven't targeted anyone and besides that, she's not a target, she's a person and our members, little sister,"

"I recall you saying that, and now you're having a lunch date and flirting with her, I know your tactics, play the nice guy and get the girl then let them down easy,"

I was too focused on their conversation that Seyong's comment insinuating that Insoo was also trying to play me caught me off guard. Instead of placing the glass on the drying rack, I hitting it on the sink faucet because I wasn't paying attention, and ended up with a hand full of glass.

"Eunji?" Insoo called.

"It's fine, I just broke a glass," I sighed tipping my hand over the bin.

"Are you okay?" he called again.

"I'm fine,"

"You're bleeding," Seyong was leaning against the door frame, with a blank expression he pointed to my hand.

I looked down at my hand, blood dripping down my fingertips from a few shards of glass that were still stuck in my palm. I let out a small hiss as I pulled a few of the smaller pieces out of my own hand. I grabbed a hold of the larger shard.

"Stop," Seyong sighed walking into the kitchen as if it were a huge effort.

"It's fine,"

"It's not, you're not going to be able to get it out on your own. Let me look at it," he pulled the counter stool over to the sink and gestured for me to sit. I know he was right so I didn't bother arguing, instead, I just sat down.

"Stay here for a minute, and keep your hand over the sink so you don't get blood everywhere.

I nodded and he left the kitchen heading upstairs, he came jogging back down a few minutes later with the first aid kit in one hand. With his free hand, he slid the other stool over to the sink and sat down in front of me. He didn't speak, he opened the box and pulled out tweezers and antiseptic. Gently, he grabbed my wrist turning the sink tap on and run cold water over my hand carefully using the tweezers to pull the glass out.

"Sorry," he mumbled frowning down at my hand as if it was at fault for my hissing.

Who was this? This isn't the Seyong I know, the Seyong I know is rude and grumpy and definitely would have hit on me by now. But this Seyong is sweet and gentle and he just apologised. I don't get it, is he bipolar?

He pulled my hand out from under the water and dried it with some paper towel before spraying antiseptic across my hand. He pulled some gauzes and a bandage out of the box rapping my hand.

"Well, it doesn't look like it will need stitches it's not too deep," he shrugged securing the bandage.

"Thanks," I nodded.

"So, do you want to go to dinner tonight?"

"Pardon?" I frowned.

"Dinner, it's a meal you eat at night time,"

"I know what dinner is, I'm confused why you're asking me?"

"Well, you said you've never been on a date," he shrugged, there was a smirk forming on his face.

"Oh,"

"Oh?"

"Is this you trying to sleep with me again?" I asked awkwardly.

"I'm just suggesting dinner, if you want to serve dessert later, then I won't say no,"

I stared at him for a minute, it's not that I was surprised that he was just trying a new tactic as he put it, it's just that I was a little disappointed, it would have been nice if there was actually a side of Seyong that I liked. But instead, it was just another act to sleep with me.

"So, where do you want to go?"

"I don't,"

"What?" he frowned.

"I don't want to go to dinner with you," my heart sped up.

"Do you know how many girls would kill for the chance to go to dinner with me? I don't take girls on a date," he snapped.

I froze, I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't want to say anything to make him angrier but I wasn't going to agree to go on a date with him just so he wouldn't snap at me and I definitely wasn't going on a date that he expected to end in sex.

SEYONG

She just stared at me with a blank expression, like she wasn't at all impressed by my attempts. Her lack of interest only makes me angrier, not once in my life have I asked a girl to go to dinner, I mean I've invited a girl to a club or a bar but never have I considered actually going on a date. I've never had to resort to such measures, the girl normally falls at my feet from just a smile.

I didn't understand what was wrong with this girl, it can't be because of she's a 'nice girl' I've met countless 'nice girls' and not one has been immune to my charm. So why was this one such a challenge?

Whatever, I've never turned away from a challenge before, and Eunji wasn't going to be any different.

"So, you're really not going to go to dinner with me?" I raised an eyebrow.

She didn't even feel like she had to verbally respond, she just shook her head at me What was wrong with her? I rolled my eyes stranding up, I slammed the first aid box shut and threw it on the counter leaving the room.

EUNJI

My stomach was in my throat.

"He doesn't take rejection well," Insoo reared around the corner.

"I can see that,"

"In his defence, he hasn't had a lot of experience in it, or any really. How does it feel to be the first?" he smirked.

"Not so great actually, I could do without to mood swings," I mumbled trying to pick up the shattered glass that was all through the sink and on the floor.

"Leave that, I'll do it," Insoo frowned at me as Seyong came storming back through the house, picked up his phone from the living room coffee table then stormed out the front door.

"How long is he going to be like that?" I frowned.

"Ah, don't let him get to you, he will go and dance out is mood and come home like nothing ever happened. He has too much pride and ego to admit he was rejected," he shook his head.

"Does that mean he won't try again?" I asked hopefully.

"Oh absolutely not. You have presented him with a challenge, if there is anything Seyong loves, it's a challenge,"

"Great,"

"Why don't we go down to the convenient store, grab some snack foods and watch a drama or something?"

"Sure," I nodded.

"Oh wait, don't move or you'll step on glass," he stated.

"There is no way." I shook my head.

"Why not?"

"Because he's cruel, no girl would date a guy who treated her like that. Besides, he only wants to date her to prove to his friends that he can. The other guy is nice and cares about her and genuinely wants to be with her,"

"That's not how this works, she will want to go for the nice guy, she might even try. But the mean guy will change for her slowly as he falls in love with her, he'll start to protect her and save her from things and she won't realise that she's in love with him until it's too late to do anything about it,"

"That is so unrealistic, what girl in their right mind would do that to themselves?"

"Sometimes you can't help who you fall for," he shrugged, giving me an odd look.

"That's stupid, she's smarter than that," I rolled my eyes.

"What to bet on it?"

"Okay,"

"The loser grants the winner a wish?"

"Deal," I nodded.

"Honey, I'm home," Seyong called coming up behind us.

"What are you doing?"

His mood was much better, I think it' the first time I've seen him genuinely smile. Of course, it only lasted until he noticed my presence. Then his stupid scowling face returned.

"We're watching a movie, do you want to join?" Inso smiled back at Seyong, ignoring the disdain his friend's face wore.

"No," he rolled his eyes walking off.

"Ignore him, he's just moody. Oh, maybe he's pregnant?" Insoo pulled a shocked face making me laugh.

"I'll talk to him," he assured me.

Insoo's comment reeled in my mind, coupled with Seyong's comment earlier. Was it possible that Insoo was only being nice to me for the same reason Seyong had? I mean I think it was probably possible, the two had to have something in common, but I also didn't think that was the case. I think Insoo was just being nice to me.

The drama finished, and I lost. Seriously some girls are so ridiculously stupid, why would she choose a guy that she knows is completely capable of treating her as less than a doormat? What's stopping him from reverting back to that person later down the line once he gets bored of her?

I shook it off letting out a sigh, crawling into bed rolling over, turning on my phone after realising I hadn't checked it all day, it was probably full of messages from Zelo or Ricky, I was actually surprise neither one of then had shown up at the door.

(14) Missed calls

(3) New Voice Mail

(10) New Messages

I scrolled through the missed calls, all but 5 were from Jiyeon, one was from Kwangmin, the other four from Zelo. I checked the voicemails; the first was just a hang-up message, the second was from Zelo;

"Hey, where are you? Did you sleep in oy something? Hurry up I'm bored and Ricky's not coming today,"

The last was from Ji;

"Eunji, give me a call when you get this, Zelo just rang and said you haven't shown up for your classes and he can't get a hold of you,"

I deleted both voice mails and opened the text messages;

Jiyeon: Can you message Zelo? He's freaking out about you.

Jiyeon: Where are you? You're okay, right?

Jiyeon: Why aren't you answering your phone? I'm worried about you, Zelo says he hasn't heard from you all day.

Jiyeon: I just spoke to Insoo, how are you still asleep at this hour? Ring me when you wake up.

Kwangmin: Are you avoiding me? Is it my fault that you're not here?

Zelo: Why are you late?

Zelo: Where are you? The twins won't shut up it's really annoying.

Zelo: How do you get these two to shut up? Do they ever stop?

Zelo: Eunji! Where are you?

Zelo: Answer me or I'm on going to come over there.

Zelo: I'm serious. I'm walking out the door.

Zelo: Okay sleeping beauty, you're lucky Jiyeon just text me. Call me when you wake up.

Zelo: Dude, wake up!

Zelo: Whatever, you suck.

I laughed sending them all a message back. Zelo was quick to reply and we talked via text until I felt myself getting sleepy. Spending the day with Insoo wasn't so bad, I'd decided that he was a genuinely nice guy and that Seyong was probably just annoyed that I kept rejecting him. Insoo had even checked my hand before I headed up for bed, it seemed like a lot of effort just to be trying to play someone.

SEYONG

I was getting irritated, there was nothing to do, and clearly, I had a hit a wall with Eunji. I headed up the stairs to the room I shared with Insoo who was hanging upside down off the bed.

"Get up, we are going out," I started stripping off my jumper, throwing it at him.

"Where?" he sat up stretching properly as I looked around the room for the clothes I wanted.

Our room was simple; two single beds, one on either side of the window, a set of draws in between, another in the closet. Insoo's guitar was sitting at the foot of his bed, which was the furthest from the door. There was also a shelf at the end of my bed full of small mementos and some of our photos.

"Just get dressed. I want to go out and we haven't been out in so long," I picked up a pair of black skinny jeans.

"We're going clubbing tomorrow," he eyed me carefully. In his defence, I have a knack for getting into some minor trouble when we go out.

"I want to go out now, so get dressed," I frowned impatiently.

"Why so sudden?"

"Just because, I want to get laid. I can continue bothering Eunji if you don't want to go out,"

"She will just go out, or lock herself away," he shrugged challenging me.

"Fine, don't go. I'll call Daeil and J.Heart and go out with them, you will just have to come out later to get us out of trouble," I retorted slipping on a leather jacket.

"Okay, fine," he sighed rolling his eyes.

"That's the spirit, now hurry up," I picked up a red snapback and a pair of sunglasses.

"But just to be clear, it's you who causes the trouble, J.Heart and Daeil just get pulled into it,"

"Whatever," I rolled my eyes, but smirked anyway because we both knew he was right.

I headed downstairs as Eunji got home, she was unusually late today, I was guessing that she had gone out with some of her friends in order to avoid me which was completely fine by me, her face made me mad. I didn't understand why she was s hard to crack, what was wrong with her?

"Ready?" I looked back up at Insoo when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Let's go," he nodded ushering me out the front door.

"Where are we going exactly?" he raised an eyebrow at me.

"How should I know?" I shrugged.

"Because you're the one who forced me out of the house,"

"Because I was bored and getting nowhere with Gunwoo's sister,"

"Her name is Eunji," he frowned at me.

"Good for her?"

"You should really leave her alone, I don't think Gunwoo would be too thrilled if he knew how you were treating his sister,"

"Are you going to tell him?"

"Of course not, but Eunji might, she seems to be reaching her limits with you,"

"I hope so,"

"You hope she tells Gunwoo?"

"What? No, once she reaches her limit she will be more willing to let me get my way so I leave her alone,"

"I don't think she is going to be as easy as you think," he pointed out.

"And why is that?"

"Because she isn't at all like the girls you normally sleep with, honestly I think you would have more luck sleeping with Jiyeon,"

"And you would be cool with that?" I asked curiously.

"Not really,"

"Why not? You've already slept with her,"

"Would you judge me if I said I think I like her?"

"Of course I would judge you, that's not what I taught you, you don't go catching feelings for girls, there are way too many out there to sleep with for you to just settle on one,"

"That's what I thought," he nodded.

"Wait, do you like her?" I asked not bothering to hide the disgust from my voice.

"I would just like it if you didn't try to sleep with her,"

"Don't worry, I have my eyes set on a much more difficult task,"

"You're inconceivable," he pulled a face.

"Who are you?" I shook my head at him.

"How about a bar?" he rolled his eyes/

"Have you seriously gotten yourself infatuated with one girl?" I stopped on the sidewalk.

"Do you even know what infatuated means?"

"It means you're an idiot,"

"Let's just go there," I stated, pointing towards a bar down the street.

"You know the girls in a bar are smarter than the girls who are in a club,"

"What's your point? All drunk girls are the same,"

"My point is that you have been off your game lately, consistent rejections, are you sure you even know how to pick up a girl anymore?" he baited me, I knew he was challenging me but I couldn't help but accept.

"You don't think I can get a girl?" I smirked.

"I just don't think it's going to be as easy as you think," he shrugged.

"Do you know who you're talking to?"

"Do you really think one of the girls in there will sleep with you?"

"Do you really think they won't?"

"Bar girls aren't as quick to get drunk as club girls, they don't have the need to have an excuse to dance like strippers on guys they don't know,"

"Whatever dude, it's a car, literally the house of alcohol, what's the point in going if you don't get drunk?" I frowned.

"I'm just pointing out facts," he shrugged.

"Okay, what to bet on it, if you're so sure," I was feeling a little offended in his lack of confidence in my ability.

"What kind of bet?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Winner picks the loser's punishment," I shrugged.

"Deal,"

"But if you leave without a phone number, you lose"

"Don't insult me," I cut him off as we walked in the door.

INSOO

We were seated in a booth along the back wall by the waitress; a tall foreign girl, with long blonde hair tied back into a ponytail. She managed to pique Seyong's interest with her tight, low cut, black shirt, that showed off more than enough of her chest, and with the help of her long legs that were easily visible with the shorts that she was wearing he had chosen his target.

"Hello, my name is Stephani, with an I. What can I get for you this evening?" she battered her long, probably fake, eyelashes at Seyong not that he was paying attention to anything but her breasts, that she was not so subtly pushing together.

"We'll get two servings of Tteobokki, one serving of fried chicken, a bottle of soju and two glasses?" I ordered when Seyong didn't speak.

"Is that all?" she asked writing in her notebook.

"Make it two bottles of soju, and a bottle of beer, also, you have to be the one who brings it to us," Seyong winked.

"That is what a waitress does," she winked back before leaving the table.

"Are you serious?" I shook my head at him.

"What? I did basically say that there was no point going to a bar to not drink,"

"No, when have I ever cared about your alcohol consumption. Out of all of the girls here, you choose a waitress, the foreign waitress,"

"What is your point?"

"I have several points actually, one; she's working so that already makes it more difficult. Two; she's foreign and by the sounds of it she's not very good at Korean so communication isn't going to be simple. Three.."

"Let me stop you right there and tell you why I'm right and you're an idiot," he cut me off.

"As you pointed out, she isn't so great with her Korean which stands to reason she hasn't been here long which means her tolerance for Soju is probably nonexistent. Secondly, my need to communicate with her is very minimal and as we have both noticed she has already shown interest in me, but if you're scared about losing our bet,"

"Continue," I sat back in my chair as she came back with our order.

I knew I was going to lose the bet, but I also knew that Seyong focusing his attention on our foreign waitress meant we weren't at home where he could harass Eunji so far be it from me to stop him from flirting with a stranger.

"So, Stephani, was is?" Seyong started a conversation.

"With an I," she nodded, I could see him resisting an eye roll.

"Stephani with an I, when does your shift end?"

"In about ten minutes, why?" she glared playfully at him.

"Well, we're a little bored, and you have done such a good job as hosting us that I was wondering if you might like to join us for a few drinks?"

"I actually have plans with a friend," she dragged out.

"Why don't you see if she would also like to join us? I mean I also have a friend," he gestured to me.

"I'm not sure," she smirked.

"Well, if you don't want to," Seyong shrugged.

"You would really be doing me a favour, he has this bad habit of getting us both in trouble when he gets bored and I would really rather sleep in my own bed than on in a jail cell," I smiled politely.

"I think you would look good in handcuff," she smirked at him.

"I think they would look better on you," he countered.

"Let me just call my friend and let her know we've had a change of plans," she nodded.

JIYEON

"Can you get me a bag of chips while you're in there?" I called over the lounge to Eunji.

"Sure," she nodded as my phone beeped.

Unknown: Hey, so this is weird but can I ask you to do me a favour?

Jiyeon: Who is this?

Unknown: Insoo, sorry should have lead with that. haha.

Jiyeon: How did you get my number?

Insoo: Eunji...

"Did you give Insoo my number?" I frowned as she sat back down. she froze for a split second.

"Uh, yes," she gave me a small smile.

"What I not supposed to?"

"You could have told me," I waved her off.

Insoo: So, about that favour?

Jiyeon: What favour and what do I get out of it?

Insoo: Come and save me, and the satisfaction of helping a guy out?

Jiyeon: I prefer the satisfaction of the couch and a bag of chips.

Insoo: I'll owe you one?

Jiyeon: That's better I guess, what do you need saving from?

Insoo: A girl...

Jiyeon: A girl?

Insoo: She's some foreign girl, a friend of Seyong's current pick up and she doesn't quite understand my Korean what with her being drunk. I don't know how to let her down nicely in English.

Jiyeon: So don't?

Insoo: Don't what?"

Jiyeon: Don't let her down, just sleep with her.

Insoo: ew, no. She's faker than a store-bought doll. Are you going to help me or not?

Jiyeon: Fine. Where are you?

I sighed. I wasn't really sure why I was agreeing to help him, or why he was asking me for help but I was a little curious about his type I guess and it would be nice to be able to call in a favour from him later.

"So I'm going to go and save Insoo from a girl at a bar, do you want to come?" I asked Eunji who raised an eyebrow at me.

"Is Seyong there?"

"Yeah,"

"Then no," she slouched back into her chair.

"Fair enough, I'll be back soon."
