7 Chapter 7 - Impossible, what monster did you get this from!
Deep inside the university; staff campus area. Taki let out a grumbled sigh, his short height reaching barely four foot at this point, green skin and pointed ears, glints in the depths of his eyes as he searched through the box of new magical crystals. His small fangs poking out the bottom of his lip, slowly chucking away old blank crystals.
"These teachers just use all these up, they are expensive and I have to salvage any value, Just horrible. If it was not for the government handing over discounts for these, then we would not even bother!"
He had checked the latest batch from the teacher and found the reports all too horrible. "Nothing again! Well, these idiots think that we can pan for gold but when others have golden magnets to pick things before we even get to the riverside, I think its rather unfair. No wonder we get nothing. Besides the Demonic Legions, Celestial Union and the other organisations which can do better scanning. We are at a huge disadvantage!"
He would blink as he looked down at the last box given, the crystal had changed rapidly to a black colour, arc's of lightning streaking across, his eyes would blink before rushing to grab it.
"Violent Crystal. What the, how is it so stable?"
He would rush to the computer system as he started to attach all the equipment, putting in the scanning equipment with the magical instruments, his eyes glowing lightly as he already knew this was a good find, some stupid teacher must have used the same crystal over and over..."
He pressed the tiles on the side of the machine as he then placed the crystal into the centre, just by his curious nature, he also went onto a favourite stomping ground of his and one of the worlds most grey markets. He would start to type up about Violent crystals, though as usual not many came up for sale, opening the category itself would give more information.
'Violent Crystal'
This crystal is a typical combination of two or more types of magic. Crystals are put onto the site with the averages of each class and the average percentages of each. Most crystals formed are two combinations or at most three, anything more will cause the Violent crystal to just explode, even two or three combinations can just randomly explode with different environmental changes. The crystals themselves could not be found normally, they had to be created either through absorption in people with testing crystals, successful creation could only happen with high-level candidates or constant use over years with slow power build up.
"Since this is from one of the candidates then I assume that someone had a massive spike in power, which means one of the teachers failed to scout this talent!" His eyes started to glow more, the glee on his face. "I get to clean up the mess, get credit and even shame a proud so-called teacher!" he was on cloud nine, he got so much pleasure from putting a magic teacher in place, just because they were born with this power they would flaunt and show off.
"Or, I can just pretend I never saw it, post it online for cash... Wait lets see how much its worth" He would start to flick though the listings, eventually getting to the cheapest, his eyes bulging from his eyes, mouth going wide.
"One hundred, thirty thousand for fire and earth combo, they only have thirty percent each which is rather low, only low level rituals or magic will allow usage of that"
Even with this, he would look to the bidding icon, this item had been bid on a fair few times, he continued to smile as he placed the crystal into the scanning device, magic flowing around it as he would blink.
"It's now blue with fire in the centre, what is going on with this thing. Make up your mind you bloody crystal!" he said looking rather annoyed.
The machine would begin scanning, normally it would take a few minutes to finish the scan, though after the first twenty minutes, his eyebrow slowly raised. "Money money money, I'm in the money!" he would begin to sing as he continued his work, quickly getting the rest out of his way before licking his lips.

He would quickly tap the select the yes option as the report pulled open.

Taki would let out a sigh, this equipment was rather old, he knew that he should have hounded the dean for better equipment, this many errors was only due to this system being so old and broken.
"Fuck, let's pull the live report, this cant be right. The only person who has a magical average of Zero is a dead person... Even then they will have some residual magic"
He would pull open the live report, eyes scanning the page as his face almost smashed into the floor, looking over the digets made him also weep.
"FUCK THIS PLACE! PRIVATE ISLAND HERE I COME!" He said rushing off his seat to grab his coat, the screen fuzzing slightly as the numbers quickly changed, Taki turning a moment as he would sit back down, confusion hitting his mind.
"Make up your mind, Either make me rich or just keep me poor, stop toying with my poor heart!"

Taki watched again as the numbers changed, Lightness and Darkness switching to be roughly equal, nearly fifty percent each, this was crazy and not possible. Who would have thought that something like this would happen.
He would quickly pull the papers from the teachers. "Twenty four, twenty four!" He would find the paper for twenty four missing. "Wait, where is the paper! Its not here. Someone has taken it!" he felt a chill going down his spine, someone was truly fucking with him today.
He shook his head, it seemed it was out of the question now to find the paper, he also did not want to alert the teachers as well. If he started to ask questions about this certain number then either he would tip off the teacher to go fix the mistake or it was covered up already. If he got involved at that point he would be certainly made to shut up.
If the second instance was the reality then they made a huge mistake leaving this crystal with him. He frowned as he would instead pull up his contacts list on his profile, quickly calling up one of his old university flings. Samantha Thorn
The blonde woman picked up rather sharp, eyes glaring at the small green man, bunny ears twitching in anger.
"How many times do I have to tell you, Do. Not. Call. Me!" she would pronounce everything slowly.
He would shake his own head before showing the crystal to her, after a few minutes it changed to a red crystal with darkness swirling inside it.
She seemed to be taken aback, looking it over before her mouth opened.
"Impossible, what kind of monster did you get that form!"
He would smile gently, he had gotten her interest. While she hated his guts due to the last breakup, he knew exactly what to do and say to get her attention. She was part rabbit and he had the perfect solution.
The ultimate carrot was now in-front of her.
